@@mineboom7377 It can mostly work on original hardware if we use interrupts to move the sprites at the right time for the illusion of more than what the GB can normally handle, it will also help if the background was replaced with tiles, I'm sure the tiles are stored are in RAM, so we can use a single tile for most of the entire background, and even then, I'm sure we can make use of scrolling.

If someone modified the gameboy to have modern game device specs, like memory wise, sprite limit wise, etc. , deltarune could probably actually run on it in its glouris green hue.
Did you seriously make that awesome background animation? You absolute genius. I can't describe you how awesome that background animation and this cover really is. I also can't describe the fact that how much effort was put into this. You clearly deserve more subscribers. Awesome job on this one!
Unironically if a game like this came out around 1997 theres a high chance that there wouldve been a Deltarune DX with Color Sprites similar to Link's Awakening that wouldve been made later on
If we take this into account, cut 3 spamton attacks, change the background to an oscillating texture instead, cut the sprite size in half somehow, this could possibly run on real hardware
Holy crap, you did such an awesome job creating the voice with just the triangle wave and the noise channels! How were you able to do that??? Also, has the wave channel for the GameBoy not only use the triangle wave? I didn't realize that it could change to different waves (like square and such).
Indeed, the Wave table of the Game Boy is fully customisable ^^ Here I used multiple custom waveforms in rapid succession to simulate a voice, but later I learned that through clever programming some people were able to use the Wave channel to play samples at a somewhat decent quality! If you are interested in hearing what it sounds like, you can check my latest cover of this song ^^
This is because I had to make compromises to get the right sprite size without messing up the proportions, but now that you mention it it's hard to unsee XD
@@flieen it's actually really impressive, both the music and gameplay (or animation). Only small thing I can think of is I think [Press F1 for help] should of been changed to [Press START for help]
It's very tricky but it is possible by using the Wave channel: First I imported the original sample in Audacity, then I selected short looping segments for each syllable, and I ported them into DefleMask by using the FDS/N163 Waveform tool. After I had all the waveforms, I just needed to play them one by one with the correct pitch. I finally added effects (pitch bends and volume changes) to make it less "robotic". I hope it makes sense XD

perfection
I second this! That's hands down the best part of this remix!
I am a sucker for horribly mutilated voices
Agreed. 8 bit sampling is a vibe.
Definitely my favorite part
I miss stuff like this before sampling became a huge thing
I love how if we exclude the sprite limit, it could run on a physical Gameboy.
I just ignored the sprite limit XD
Sprite Limit? More like Sprite Suggestion
Including the sprite limit, it could probably run on a GBC.
