Today, probably. But back then, I'm not sure. It would probably have made it really expensive to produce, and sell, assuming the ROM is a significant size. My answer could be out of ignorance as well though. It would be interesting to see!!
@@RageyRage82 the closest thing as an official release of a 8 bit SF game was for the master system a brazilian made game that has I think only 8 players and some voices and was licensed by both capcom and sega so is not a homebrew
If someone managed to fix the tracks back to original music and the title screen to "Street Fighter II", this would be an actual decent port that never was!
I grew up playing on the Family Game NINTENDO NES 8-Bit:) during my childhood... I wonder how those older than me felt when they went from seeing an Atari 2600 to playing games like this?
Legal reasons maybe? I would assume that calling it what it actually is may prompt a cease and desist from Capcom. Maybe the music not being true to the original has something to do with that too.
@@cosmemod1820 , well the graphics template and some of the sprites is taken from the old 8 bit MUGEN original game here somewhat. I recognise some of the sprites somewhat. I thought the MUGEN was great and it was fun to play etc.
Wow the physics look really good
I'm asking from my total ignorance here, but this game could fit into a real nes cartridge?
Maybe.
Probably someone could put it on a flashcart that works on original hardware and find out.
I mean back in the day if this was possible even no perfect capcom missed a chance to launch the game to the nes console

Whoever did this, they did a good kob with the color palette and sprites.
better than 75% of the games on steam

That looks beautiful 😊😊😊😊
Impressive

If only this was released back in 1991
Hey looks good. But why is this 3 when it's clearly 2?

A mis 11 años creo tuve mi primer SEGA! :)
uow excelent sprites! Congrats team!
Unbelievable!!!
Wow pretty impressive!
how the different punches and kicks are done (fast, medium, strong)?
The 5 new challengers not bad
Very impressive
This looks spot on! But that music...dear God I'd rather have E. Honda crap in my ear
i love it :)
The game looks great, but on the console will likely have flickering
Whoa?!! I recognise this from the MUGEN 8bit version?! They've take that version and NES-fied it which is extremely impressive.
