Never would have expected this after watching Rajamouli's Eega/Naan Ee in 2011. I always thought Hollywood and Americans (and even internationally) would never take Indian films seriously. Glad to see it has changed. Rajamouli is a true visionary with some epic fantasy films. Not sure if he's on par with the versatility of Spielberg but definitely a big visionary.
I watched RRR expecting typical Bollywood thing.. But the movie was fkin legendary.. And i like the respect SS has for Steven.. Much love from Serbia.

i was really happy to see this. in this conversation we can understant the rangeof indian cinema. it a very shot distance between holllywood and indian cinema.
I always thought Shankar to be the best, in terms of providing visual experiences in Indian movies. Even after Bahubali, I thought SSR still needs to bring up his styles more to match Shankar's.. But, all these have changed after RRR. After RRR, I feel Shankar to be half that is SSR. I don't know if Shankar could when match to this epic in his upcoming movies..
Bahubali is still far ahead of Shankar's movie. It's not even close. SSR is in a different league and so far Shankar is not close to it. Shankar's idol looks up to SSR.

For RRR, Oscars or any accolades are nothing when compared to getting appreciations from the people who have excelled in the same field of art.
Still, it has got 50+ international awards and literally awards from established critic circles as the best international film and best director. Native people in USA, Japan are watching the film multiple times even more than the Indians, film is still running in theaters in houseful mode despite already being played in OTTs. So, we can safely take that bag of illusionary Oscars and throw them into the trash in the case of RRR, especially 2023.

Moreover, PS is very sophisticated in terms of screenplay. Too much happening in PS-1 itself despite chopping many scenes from novel
