I come from an era when Amitabh Bachchan was at his peak in the 1980s. I am aware that he is popular around the world. I have also seen SRK's rise from a TV actor to where he is now. Raj Kapoor's huge fan following continues to this day in several countries, particularly Eastern Europe and Russia. However, Ram Charan happened to be in a film (RRR) that has been accepted by the entire globe with such open arms. It was one of the best action hero roles one could ever think of even in global cinema. One question- except Raj Kapoor, which Amitabh Bachchan and SRK films have been accepted by a global audience in this way (not just by Indians or Asians living abroad)? Which of their films have won accolades on this level on a global stage? Let's wish that also happens soon for those legends but as of now Ram Charan has managed to achieve that on all those fronts- call it good fortune or timing if you like but still one cannot deny the talent behind this achievement.

So, 85 was at the back of his mind because it's 85+ years of Telugu cinema. On the other hand Bollywood never acknowledged south movies are Indian movies and even the recent Netflix documentary of Yash ji's biography which stars like Amir Khan publicly spoke about it. Indian cinema is not about Hindi cinema anymore and people should acknowledge it.
