The terminal to save your game is pure genius.. little things like that, as you said, really help with immersion.
Good review. This game is fantastic! I finished it a couple of times already… lots to explore and go back to prior levels. As of 1.000.008 (April 10), there are still 2 bugged trophies ‘Crew’ and 9 DNAs but the devs have been working on those and are very responsive.
I waited to buy until it got the launch patch. Haven’t played it yet, but am thrilled to hear it’s so strong, and I hope it gains proper traction!

I love this videos focused on looking back at the improvement of some games that had a rough first launch. Most people (including me) will see a a VR game launch poorly and never look at it again, unaware of all the major updates or fixes the game may had after release
Everyone is talking about this game and many are even giving away keys. Seems like nobody has anything bad to say which makes me wonder why we didn't hear much about it earlier. Excellent review as always, JH. I'll definitely try to pick this up. Thank you!
Bolverk Games has seemingly done everything in their power to listen to the community feedback and make SOLID and EXCELLENT improvements to this game on ALL platforms! Done with Quest 3 now and just started on PSVR2! Really looking forward to the 120Hz butter smooth experience. Story and Gameplay equally outstanding!
Really enjoying this game but I'm just waiting for the next patch to add adaptive triggers and stuff.

I finally got around to buying this game. Holy wah is it good. Seriously one of the best games I've played in the headset. It's so damn smooth and quick. Love the hectic nature of combat. Also really digging the resource management aspect, game gives me a classic-era Resident Evil mixed with Metroid vibe. About 2 hours in, really got the hang of things so far and looking forward to where it goes next.
It's a shame this one was dropped by Sony before it should have. that really sets a tone for the game and hurts the dev. I am glad to hear about the positive feedback from you about the patch. I held off because I am just so back logged at the moment but with 120 Native I am going to be making this my next PSVR2 purchase for sure.
Great video man, was just wondering where you find music that you use in the background of your videos thats non copyright or at least how do you get around copyright
TH-cam Studio has an audio library built in that has non-copyright tracks :)
I usually sort by ‘mood: calm’ and go from there.
Another great area is Game soundtracks, as most are non copyrighted so good for TH-cam :)
Did they add eye tracking or dynamic foveated rendering with this update?
It does have foveated rendering, yes, with 100% res on the sides and 150% on your focus area.

I'm not sure about the 'Indy quality' comments. I've seen well known developers make games that don't look this good. It would be useful if you said the price of the game in the video.

There is no doubt Red Matter 2 has some more impressive visual solutions than we do, but we put in a lot of work to make the game look good for the original target platform (Quest 2) and then upgraded as much as our system allowed for later. We are a very small team so it's always nice to see such kind words.
@@MaMastoast It would be cool if you did a interview with Jammyhero if he was willing. A conversation over your game would be great. I'd love to know what is involved, about your group of developers, how long it took, what kind of equipment you use, who you use to test it, how you approached Sony with your game, etc. People complain about the lack of PSVR2 games, but I suspect most don't know the amount of man hours a game like this takes. I'm sure others would find the information fascinating, and I really appreciate your replying. I hope your game makes you some descent money which you can use to make another great game. Respect to you and your team.
Will wait for a sale. By then, hopefully the experience is much better. I've got so many games on backlog it's not even funny.
Is this actually good? All gameplay I see is just players entering a room and "point & shoot" the small enemy bugs and then repeat over and over again
Normally when I watch VR gameplay it's the same feeling I get, but when playing everything changes. I believe this game is the same thing
It’s really good and addictive too , adding stuff to your left hand and using item is addictive weirdly - so many puzzles too

Stop being a 🤡…..PSVR2 has been releasing bangers for the past few months now and even better ones to come…PSVR2 is *now compatible with PC* …Quest 3 should really be called Quest 2.5…it’s not that much better than quest 2 and you have to buy several battery’s and keep them constantly charged just to finish a game 🤣…how is the battery in quest 3 worse than quest 2 ?? You say “don’t waste your money on PSVR2” yet the Quest 3 is only 40 bucks cheaper than the PSVR2….I say spend the extra $50 and get a better headset with better specs…it’s a no brainer. I owned a quest 2 and played the quest 3 so I can honestly say there is a really big difference between them…I can’t go back to Quest games after playing No Mans Sky,Resident Evil 4 Remake ,Resident Evil Village and Gran Turismo 7 just to name a few …oh and GenoTyoe along with Hell Sweeper just got updates that make them look as good and play as good as high end PC VR games….
