Glad to see you are watching the reviews.. Hope you picked up on the complaints as well as the praise, specifically the mention of the inconsistent frame rate and have plans to deal with this.
Having played this game on PC its one im super happy that psvr2 players get to experience - it's right after half life alyx for games that I was hoping get ported over.
THERE WE GO This is the game I’ve been waiting for this is probably the first 2024 game I’ll make a video on thank you I hope you’re having a good year so far 😅
I've been casually following this, heard so much about it. Thanks for the review, glad you've sat on it for so long and still holds up. Very Keen to try this out
Thank you for this review. This was everything I was hoping to hear about this game and I can easily overlook the resolution and less than perfect fps. I’m so excited to play this!
I never played VR but frame drops in a VR game sound like a nightmare? After all you're controlling the camera with your head and it's supposed to be immersive. How can that not be annoying?
@@acreativename2781 it’s definitely not ideal and hopefully it will improve overtime with patches. It may cause motion sickness in some but then everyone’s triggers for motion sickness are different. I guess it’s gonna be personal to each individual but for me, I’m ok to put up with some immersion breaking sections if the overall experience is worth it, which it sounds as though it is.
Sounds like a must-buy for me. I'm personally not bothered by a few frame drops, but I know some people will be. Hopefully Perp/Zulubo can incorporate dynamic foveated rendering in a future patch, though I don't know how much work it is to move it to the newer Unity pipeline.
It's more like prolonged drops in outdoors areas. It wouldn't bother me in 2D but in VR it's way easier to feel it. The game is great but it needs help with some technical issues and progress stalling bugs.
How do the Adaptive triggers, head rumble and haptive feedback work in vertigo 2? Is it used well? Either way it sound amazing, I will definitely play it, tough probably not on launch
Thanks for this review. Does the game have different levels of difficulty? I want to be able to cruise through it and see everything and then go back through with more of a challenge. Also, does this have all of the playable characters or is that coming in a patch?
@@Jammyhero That is greatr news. Once we have the level editor and a way to play those user created levels we might be looking at one of if not THE game of the year.
Ha. I have the two RE games for PSVR 2 (RE 4 & 8), but those games (RE 4 especially) have been giving me some bad motion sickness. Really bums me out as I was really looking forward to playing through them in VR.
it is a great game. I have it on PCVR. so my question is is it worth buying again on PSVR2. But to anyone who it questioning it, its a must have game. Keep finding myself on your'e channel so ive subscribed.
This was one of my most anticipated games but the delays were painful and I now have Resi 4 and think I will wait for a sale and a fix to the bugs or even wait for the ps5 pro version(Thought that was why the game was delayed?) having too much fun replaying through Resi 4.
Why would this game need a PS5 pro? Looks like a PS4 would have had enough power for this. Not trying to be a wiseass, just wouldn’t wait for anything more than a sale
How significant are the fps drops, and how long did they last? I'm guessing it's hard to get exact numbers on console, but I would appreciate an estimate
I’m really unsure on numbers, maybe it would lose 10-15fps? and it’s for whole sections sometimes, like the large forest area you see in the video. in other instances it’ll be for a room and then go back to normal
@perpgames you guys are amazing! Can't wait for Pneumata, Happy funland, Vertigo 2, and of course Madison VR!!! Keep the horror games coming to psvr2! Once again your company is the best! Thank you
Amazing? They released a game that, despite numerous delays and a weekend of testing, still contains a whole bunch of technical issues and bugs (including the elevator bug, which was supposedly removed). With that in mind, what makes Perp Games the best company? We need to stop normalising that it’s ok to release games in an unfinished state.
@@funkymonkeyuk I agree that it could use some more polish. Always room for improvement. My main issue was frame rate, but only on occasion. Had a couple small bugs, but nothing major. Hoping a patch or 2 will have some of our issues resolved. With that said, perp has and is releasing some of my most anticipated games. Madison Vr, Vertigo 2, pneumata vr and believe it or not I'm pretty excited for Happy Funland now. To top it off they just stated that Slender:the arrival (solid horror game, short but solid.) Is coming soon also! All of that has me pretty excited for the future of @perpgames.
@@moneyteamdream7581 Madison, pneumata and Happy Funland are also on my list of games that I’m interested in. I just hope that Perp Games hold them to a higher standard than they obviously had for Vertiigo 2, because if they’re satisfied enough with the state of the game to ok it for release, then it doesn’t inspire much confidence in them.
@Psnation596 on the arms/hands and weapons it's awful. If it was like that on the environment constantly it would be unplayable. I've not played it since launch. Hopeful on a patch.
Oh, man. I’ve got $10 in online store credit on PSN and it’s burning a hole in my pocket. After the Fall Deluxe Edition is only $15.99 on sale, Dead Matter 2 is $19.99 on sale, Creed for VR2 has an upgrade charge of $19.99, and then there’s this game…and Bulletstorm on the horizon. Dare I buy one of the sale games or put that $10 credit toward this? Eeek! I just don’t know! Help! (And, for what it’s worth, I really want to play a VR game with a buddy, but he’s only got PSVR while I have PSVR and PSVR 2…so if I were to buy After the Fall, I could talk him into buying that game and then we could play a game together.)
Hey! I've just released a mod for Vertigo 2 called "Vertigo 2 - Unleashed" that adds dual wielding, melee attacks, a virtual stock, and a few other cool features! If you are interested, I've uploaded a trailer today :)
Sounds like a wait for sale for me. It looks really fun but a game with these graphics should not contain these frame drops and should simply run at a fixed 120 FPS.
I took the plunge and got this for psvr 2 yesterday. I played an hour and a half. It’s fun, an inventive buy the graphics are poor and the frame rate is all over the place. The worst reprojection I’ve seen yet on psvr 2. Guns don’t feel the best either. It definitely needed longer in the oven. Better resolution, textures, frame rate and foveated rendering are required.
The VrGrid says this game uses heavy reprojection on par with horizon, I hope not, I Hate it and am very sensitive to it, but either way, I'll be def be picking this one up
Honestly it looks common to me I agree it’s probs a great game but there’s too many like it now it’s getting old same as horror games and if your saying it doesn’t feel AAA then well I say no more it’s just another futuristic sci-fi game
