Love this video. Really funny for me because I just had to teach my wife how to drive stick again. Her first car was a Celica 1989, stick, and she drove it for about five years. I picked up my 3rd MR2 a few months ago. She's never driven it until yesterday. It was fun and funny. It was interesting getting her to remember how to ride a bike... Hella fun and your video inspired me :) Keep up the good work.

Please press both clutch and break whenever you need to break. Don't worry about the gear and don't let off the wheel.

BAD BAD advice... never do that as a habit. You try to emergency break with the clutch disengaged and you will lock the wheels to a skip EVERYTIME.

finally someone who doesn't perpetuate the stupid "release the clutch while simultaneously adding more gas." Annoying to see people do the thing where they use their hands to demonstrate and mimic adding a shit ton of gas and then get confused when the learner is burning the clutch and bucking the car.

You don't have to be in neutral to brake. It's just good practice to be in neutral when you're stopped in traffic so you don't wear out your clutch. But otherwise, great Vid mate!

You can't wear your clutch out like that... when the clutch is disengaged (pedal fully pressed), there is no contact to wear. When fulled engaged (pedal fully up/untouched) there is full contact and only minimal wear under heavy laods. It's only riding your clutch, everything between being engaged and disengaged when the wear happens.

I have been watching videos such as this for two years now. I am trying to learn and drive six -speed. And I had the car picked out, I wanted to purchase with that transmission. What do they do? They discontinued the manual, in favor of automatic. The manufacturers caved in to those lazy individuals, that wanted only automatic.
