Fun fact : back in 1994 or so in Snow engineering, we had high warranty on jackshaft bearing failures, our buddy Todd Zinda changed to that fancy “squeeze lock” bearing on the jackshaft (by the clutch). And fixed the issues. I recall he then changed to press fit bearings on the jackshaft due to fretting and set screws coming loose. The neat thing about press fit bearings is that they would “self align” after the sled was run a few miles. We tested bearings press fit pressed on to incorrect location (like .060” off ) and they would slide into alignment on the jackshaft. Press fit were the solution to the problems. I was a manufacturer engineer in the XLT days. What a time to be alive at Polaris.
Hey! The gang is back together! Clean those carbs! 🍻🍻🍻 Ugh, poor Patti, such a labour of love I’ll second the Black Cat recommendation! Very cool restaurant! Lots of Cat memorabilia on the walls, and right across from the factory Does Roseau have a similar type restaurant for Polaris? Cheers guys 🍻🍻🍻
That’s a $100 Polaris bearing! When you use a different bearing without that collar you need to dig out the bag of secondary shims too from what I remember!
Nutter aren't those chaincases machined so the bearings are even with eachother, so you don't need to measure the alignment of the sprockets just match the thickness of the shims?

I always check alignment so no big deal there. First time I ran across particular bearing. Too bad its noisy.
@ yep, they used those bearings on the Ultra and Storms too.
Great work Gentlemen 💪
What class did you win to get the Eagle trophie?
LOL. I bought it at a swap meet. Check out the recent video for Twin Ports Vintage fest.
1st place in the carb cleaning class! lol 🍻🍻🍻
Hello, where do you get Fox shock service/seal kit's?
Carver Performance

Not always.
I have 2 trailing arm sleds that came to me with the sway bars removed, they both handle very well. Any input?
If it's working go with it 😀
Globularity.🤣
