Amen. I know the feeling of being old. I loved your message. I had a thought (my children always roll their eyes, sigh, and hold their breath when I say that! Lol!) but here goes any nursery or day care or orphanage, shelter or even neighborhood young parents. Just a thought. I’m making mine for my granddaughter Lilly who is 5 months old. Happiest crocheting. This is a wonderful pattern and video. I thank God for Adorde Crea for this pattern
I've found that a 3.75 hook makes this into 0-3 months, a 4 hook makes 3 months and a 4.25 makes a 6 month size shoe :) have made several pairs and really love this pattern! Best looking yet easiest baby booties available on TH-cam.

This video was very clear. My problem is I wasn't counting the stiches when I tried to make the first bootie especially for the ribbing so first bootie did not come out as well. I rewatched and did the count and checked every stitch to keep sure my rows were accurate and the second time around the booties came out perfect. Will be watching for more videos.
I'm so glad to hear that the video was clear and that you were able to overcome the initial challenge with the ribbing on the first bootie.😊 Counting stitches is indeed crucial, and it's great that you took the time to ensure accuracy. Your persistence paid off, and I'm delighted to hear that the second pair of booties came out perfect! Such a clear instruction and perfect angle to see what you’re doing. Thank you. I’m still lost when you start the top part. You say to go around but you turn and go back toward the ribbing. I think you go back up and down and connect the ends each time to the shoe part! 👍🏽🙏
Thank you for your feedback, and I appreciate your detailed description of where you're feeling a bit lost in the instructions. You're on the right track that you go back up and down and connect the ends each time to the shoe part. Very nice pattern, wish it was for a newborn. I am new at this but I have done some projects, just don't know how to adjust bootie for newborn. Please help.
Thank you so much for your comment😊 I'm glad you liked the pattern! Adapting the bootie pattern for a newborn size isn't too complex. You can adjust the size by using a thinner yarn and smaller crochet hook or by reducing the number of stitches in the pattern. Here are a few steps to modify the pattern for a smaller size: Use a finer yarn: Instead of the yarn weight recommended in the pattern, opt for a lighter yarn suitable for newborn sizes. This adjustment will naturally create a smaller bootie. Smaller hook: Employ smaller crochet hook than suggested in the original pattern. This will make the stitches tighter and the overall bootie size smaller. Reduce the number of stitches: Work with a smaller stitch count, primarily focusing on the sole and toe sections of the bootie. You can make fewer stitches to reduce the width and length. Shorten the length: make st for the foot and ankle sections to create a shorter bootie for a newborn's size. Experiment with these adjustments gradually, making changes to one part of the pattern at a time and checking the size as you progress. Remember, creating a gauge swatch can be incredibly helpful to ensure your adjustments are creating the desired size for a newborn. Good luck with your project!😊❤
You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear that the pattern was helpful and that your finished project turned out cute. It's always great to hear about the success of a project and how much joy it can bring. ☺🌺❤
Please fix the pattern for between 1 and 2 years old! would LOVE To do them! Trying to improvise fpr bigger size but can't do it... also is it the same for both left and rigth? Love
Hey, I'm new to crocheting, I wanted to crochet a pair for my nephew. I saw a comment saying different hook size can make booties fo4 different age. Dooes it mean bigger size yarn when you say bigger hook? Also the climate here is hot. Is Merino or cotton or acrylic better for baby booties? Would really appreciate your suggestion.
Welcome to the world of crocheting! When it comes to making booties for different ages, using different hook sizes can indeed affect the size of the finished product. Generally, using a larger hook size with thicker yarn will result in larger booties, suitable for older babies, while using a smaller hook size with thinner yarn will yield smaller booties, ideal for younger babies. Regarding yarn choice for baby booties, it depends on various factors including climate and personal preference. In a hot climate, you might want to opt for breathable yarns like cotton or bamboo, as they are lightweight and comfortable for baby's delicate skin. Acrylic yarn can also be a good option as it's easy to care for and comes in a wide range of colors. Merino wool, while soft and warm, may be too heavy for hot weather. Ultimately, the choice between cotton, acrylic, and merino wool comes down to factors like climate, baby's comfort, and your own preferences. Feel free to experiment with different yarns to see what works best for you and your nephew's needs. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask!
@@AdoreCreaCrochet Again you are very thoughtful including free written instructions to go with your video. I have a learning disability, so it really helps me out having the written pattern along with watching the video. Thank you!!!
You're very welcome! 🥰I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found it relaxing. If you have any questions or need assistance as you work on your shoes, feel free to reach out. Happy crocheting, and I hope the end result is absolutely adorable!❤
. On the written pattern do you always start in the joint st as the first st of the row. If using #4 yarn and bigger rook will give me bigger bootiies and vice versa.
Hi🙂 I always join in the first stitch of the round. So the first stitch is always the same as where I joined the last round. Yes using a bigger hook and thicker yarn will result in bigger boots. God luck with your project😊
Hiii❤❤ thank you so much for this tutoriel i really like it !! But do you mind please telling me how old my baby brother has to be wear this shoes ?😅 Thank you do much !!!
Hello! ❤️ I'm thrilled to hear that you liked the tutorial for the baby shoes! As for the age recommendation, it's a bit tricky to give an exact size because babies' feet grow at different rates. The shoes made using the tutorial are generally suitable for babies from 3 months up to around 6 months old. Best of luck with your project🥰
Hi I tried to crochet these as a person who just started crochet 2 months ago and the first four parts were very easy but on the fifth part i struggled to do the double crochet decrease!
Hi! It’s great that you found the first parts easy-you're doing really well for just starting out! The double crochet decrease can be a bit tricky at first. Here’s a quick tip: to do a double crochet decrease, yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over again, and pull through, leaving three loops on your hook. Yarn over again, pull through the first two loops, and then yarn over and pull through the last two loops. Practice a few times, and it should start to feel more natural. Keep going-you’re making excellent progress! 😊🌟
That's fantastic to hear! Congratulations on making your first baby bootie. I'm sure it looks adorable! If you have any more projects or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Happy crafting!❤😊
Thank you so much! 🥰I'm thrilled to hear that you found the tutorial awesome. If you ever have more projects or questions, feel free to reach out. Happy crafting, and sending lots of creative vibes your way! ❤️
I just found your channel as I was looking for baby socks/ booties. I read the comments on your baby sock tutorial and now that you have more experience with the videos/tutorial making can you redo the baby sock pattern. I am looking for a simple and easy crochet newborn socks. Thank you!!
Thank you for your comment and for your interest in my tutorials! I'm always happy to receive feedback and suggestions from viewers like you. 🙂 As for redoing the baby sock pattern, I would be happy to revisit it and see if there are any areas where I can improve the instructions or visuals.🤗🌺
You're very welcome! I'm thrilled to hear that you find my tutorials easy to follow. If you ever have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out. Happy crafting! ❤️🧶xx
Thank you very much for your question😊. If you choose to use a different and thinner yarn than the pattern prescribes, I unfortunately cannot guarantee for the result and size, so this is always a matter of experimenting. I wish you good luck with your project.
I use size 4 yarn would it work for this? And what size should be the sole be for newborn? I only seem so mamage to make 3-6 months or 6-12 with my yarn no luck with new born yet 😭
Using size 4 yarn should work just fine. However, when it comes to making a newborn-sized sole, the yarn weight is only one factor to consider. The main factor that determines the size of your project is the size of the crochet hook you're using, along with your personal tension (how tightly or loosely you crochet). To create a newborn-sized sole, you'll want to use a smaller crochet hook and potentially adjust the pattern. You can try using a size 3 or 3.5 mm crochet hook for finer detail and working with smaller stitches. Additionally, pay attention to your tension; if your stitches are too loose, the sole may turn out larger than desired, so aim for a firmer tension. Don't be discouraged by the initial challenges. Crocheting can take some practice, but with persistence and patience, you'll get the hang of it. Keep experimenting, and you'll soon be able to create those adorable newborn-sized items you're aiming for! 😊🧶
I it sounds like you have twice as may rows as you need. For every ridge you have 2 row in the ribbing pattern. Try watching the ribbing part again to make this more clear. Best of luck with your project. 🙂
The booties in the video are suitable for 3-6 months old, but you can adjust the size a bit if needed. I can help with tips for sizing! Just let me know! 😊👶💖
You are very welcome🙂 Im so glad to hear that you love the pattern.❤ I am still working on getting the pattern published in more sizes. I'm sorry it's dragging on.
Great video. I hope I can do this for my daughter whose expecting n asked me for baby booties. I’m not a newbie but not a pro. I’ve looked at tons of booty videos, is there a more easier way of making a baby booty? I will try this but alittle leary. Thank you. Beautifully videoed
Thank you for your kind words about the video! It's wonderful to hear that you're considering making baby booties for your daughter who is expecting. It's a heartfelt gift that will surely be cherished. Remember, every crocheter starts somewhere, and it's completely normal to feel a bit wary when trying something new. Take your time, follow the instructions step-by-step, and don't hesitate to reach out for help if needed. I wish you the best of luck with your baby booty project! I'm sure your daughter will appreciate the time and effort you put into making them. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting! 😊❤
Hi i am from india i saw you tutorials and i made too but i dont think it is perfect also i have a question... in every round of ribbing will decrease two crochet
Hello! I'm glad to hear that you've been trying out the crochet booties with the help of my tutorial. If you're experiencing issues with the ribbing and find that you're decreasing two stitches in every round here are a few things to consider: Count Your Stitches: Count the number of stitches you have at the end of each round to ensure you're maintaining the correct stitch count. If you consistently have fewer stitches, there might be unintentional decreases. Consider Yarn and Hook Size: Using a different yarn weight or hook size than recommended in the pattern can affect the overall size and tension of your project. Make sure you're using the specified materials. If you have a specific question about the pattern or if you could provide more details, I'd be happy to help troubleshoot the issue. Happy Crocheting😊🧶
Hi there! No worries at all-asking questions is a great way to learn. To ensure you don't accidentally repeat a stitch, here are a few tips: Count Your Stitches: Periodically count your stitches in each row. Use Stitch Markers: Place a stitch marker at the beginning of each row or after a set number of stitches. This can help you keep track of your progress, and if you ever lose count, you can go back and count the stitches between the markers. Visual Inspection: Take a moment to visually inspect your work. Look for any irregularities or places where the pattern seems off. If you notice a mistake, you can often correct it by carefully undoing the stitches back to the error. Practice and Experience: With practice, you'll become more familiar with the look and feel of each stitch. This experience will make it easier to spot mistakes and correct them as you go. Remember, mistakes happen to everyone, especially when learning a new skill. Don't hesitate to ask for help or clarification if you're unsure about any part of the pattern. Happy stitching! 😊🧶
I understand the pattern and I am doing good, except the bottom of the boot is bent in different ways. Did anyone had the same problem? I tried with a little bit looser gauge but it was still bent and it was to big w looser gauge. 🤔
Just wondering what is correct? In your written instructions round 1 you say to do 2 DC in the second chain from hook, but in your video instructions you say to do 2 HDC into the second chain the hook. Which one is correct?
Hi 😊 Sometimes people tend to make too may rows in the ribbing. Remember at for each ridge you actually have two rows. That might be the issue, or maybe you should try using a smaller hooksize for the ribbing.
in round five it started getting harder and I was unable to do the decrease part so I did not know how to finish my first boot so now I’m left with an unfinished boot that looks like a mini carpet so if anyone can give me some advice it would help!
It sounds like you might have had some trouble with the decrease stitches in round five. Try revisiting the pattern instructions for that round and make sure to follow each step carefully. If you’re still stuck, breaking the round down into smaller steps or watching a video tutorial for similar decreases might help. Don’t be discouraged-crocheting can take a bit of practice, and you’re doing great! If you need more specific help, feel free to provide details or photos, and I’d be happy to assist! 😊🧶
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong… I’ve followed this pattern word for word but keep ending up with too many stitches 😢 I must be doing something wrong at the start/end of each round. Any advice?
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the pattern, and I understand how frustrating it can be to end up with too many stitches. Let's work through this together. First, double-check that you've counted your stitches correctly at the end of each round. Sometimes, missed or accidental extra stitches can be the culprit. Make sure you're not accidentally adding or skipping stitches. Next, pay close attention to the instructions at the start and end of each round. It's crucial to ensure that you're following the turning chain or other instructions correctly. Sometimes, misinterpreting these instructions can result in extra stitches. If you're still encountering issues, it might be helpful to watch the tutorial video again closely. Sometimes, seeing the pattern worked visually multible times can provide valuable insights into where things might be going wrong. Don't get discouraged; crochet can be a bit tricky at times, but with patience and some troubleshooting, you'll likely identify the issue and successfully complete your project. Keep at it, and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it! 😊🧶✨
When you do a stitch (or stitches) and say do 6 (or whatever amount) more total. Do you mean 6 plus the first one you did for a total of 7 or 6 total including the first?
Don't mind me I'm just writing these for me. Slipknot Ch 10 Skip 1c, 2nd ch 2 hdc 7 hdc 6 hdc in last ch Hdc x7 Hdc x2 in last c Sl st 2 hdc 1hds 1hdc x 7
If you don’t have 29 stitches after round 7, but 28 stitches. Do I then need to chain 12 single crochet instead of 13 for the ribbed cuffs? Hope someone can help me haha.
That sounds like a creative twist! Crochet projects can sometimes take unexpected turns, but it's all part of the learning process. If you'd like tips on adjusting the pattern or if you have any questions about crochet, feel free to ask. And who knows, you might end up with a unique and adorable hat for a little one! 😄👶🧶
En mi prescripción las medidas son 12,5 cm en la planta del pie para la talla 12-18 meses. Pero, por supuesto, el tamaño de los pies puede variar. Buena suerte con el proyecto😊❤

Thank you so much for your kind words🥰 It's fantastic to hear that you've been experimenting with different hook sizes to adjust the sizes of the baby booties!
I'm so glad to hear that the video was clear and that you were able to overcome the initial challenge with the ribbing on the first bootie.😊
Counting stitches is indeed crucial, and it's great that you took the time to ensure accuracy.

Hii really helped....but I have size 2 fine yarn with hook size of 2.25... May i know the number of chain stitch we should do at the first or is there any pattern for that please ??
That will be so helpful
If you are using fine yarn I would use 2 threads of the yarn held together, otherwise the boots will be much too small.

Excellent tutorial 🎉 Thanks!!
You are welcome 🥰 Thank you so much for your kind words ♥️
Very nice pattern, wish it was for a newborn. I am new at this but I have done some projects, just don't know how to adjust bootie for newborn. Please help.
Thank you so much for your comment😊 I'm glad you liked the pattern! Adapting the bootie pattern for a newborn size isn't too complex. You can adjust the size by using a thinner yarn and smaller crochet hook or by reducing the number of stitches in the pattern.
Here are a few steps to modify the pattern for a smaller size:
Use a finer yarn: Instead of the yarn weight recommended in the pattern, opt for a lighter yarn suitable for newborn sizes.

Hey,
I'm new to crocheting, I wanted to crochet a pair for my nephew.
If you have any more questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask!

@@AdoreCreaCrochet Okay and thank you again 🥰🥰
Looks soft and warm, ☺ and easy to make. Could you perhaps teach us how to crochet an adult type bootie? Thank you, 💐

You are welcome❤😊
What if I have a thinner yarn, is it enough if I double the mass?
@@AdoreCreaCrochet thank you very much what size would the new born sole be? Thanks :)
I have the 29 ridges in my cuff but it looks so wide like is would fall off a babies leg, how do I make the cuff narrower?
I it sounds like you have twice as may rows as you need. For every ridge you have 2 row in the ribbing pattern. Try watching the ribbing part again to make this more clear. Best of luck with your project. 🙂
Thank you so much, they came out really nice
You are very welcome. Thank you very much for your comment. How nice to hear that the project turned out so well.😊❤

If you're experiencing issues with the ribbing and find that you're decreasing two stitches in every round here are a few things to consider:
Count Your Stitches:
Count the number of stitches you have at the end of each round to ensure you're maintaining the correct stitch count. If you consistently have fewer stitches, there might be unintentional decreases.
Consider Yarn and Hook Size:
Using a different yarn weight or hook size than recommended in the pattern can affect the overall size and tension of your project. Make sure you're using the specified materials.
If you have a specific question about the pattern or if you could provide more details, I'd be happy to help troubleshoot the issue.
Happy Crocheting😊🧶
How many stitches do I begin with for 0-3 months using the same yarn and hook?
Hi 😊 i don´t know that. I only have this pattern from 3-6 months and up.
@@AdoreCreaCrochet I’ll let you know when I crack it. Thanks
Hi , Im not sure if someone asked already but how do you know if you did the same stitch more than once?
Hi there! No worries at all-asking questions is a great way to learn. To ensure you don't accidentally repeat a stitch, here are a few tips:
Count Your Stitches: Periodically count your stitches in each row.
Thank you a good pattern.
You are very welcome. Thank you for your support❤☺
The Video is correct 😊
Ok, I will follow the video instructions in that case.
I followed the pattern but my ribbing was so wide. How can I fix that. I tend to have tighter chains when I crochet.
@@AdoreCreaCrochet thank you so much😁
Thank you so much!! 😊
@@AdoreCreaCrochet thank you so much! I think I figured it out! Just have to count each round. Appreciate your time and your gorgeous free pattern xx

When you do a stitch (or stitches) and say do 6 (or whatever amount) more total. Do you mean 6 plus the first one you did for a total of 7 or 6 total including the first?
It is 6 stitches in total 😊
Don't mind me I'm just writing these for me.

Thank you so much ☺️
Ciao sei molto brava adesso a lavoro....
Grazie mille. apprezzo😊❤🌺
If you don’t have 29 stitches after round 7, but 28 stitches. Do I then need to chain 12 single crochet instead of 13 for the ribbed cuffs? Hope someone can help me haha.
Hi🥰 The 13 chains will determine the height of the cuffs, so it really doesnt matter. Best of luck with your project😊
Hi please how can i do the second side of the ribbings. This is confusing me. Thanks
Everything is shown and explained in the video. It might help to watch it again a few more times to get the hang of the technique.😊
mine turned out more like a hat haha
That sounds like a creative twist! Crochet projects can sometimes take unexpected turns, but it's all part of the learning process. If you'd like tips on adjusting the pattern or if you have any questions about crochet, feel free to ask. And who knows, you might end up with a unique and adorable hat for a little one! 😄👶🧶
Very nice!❤
Thank You so much❤🤗
Is this a size 4 yarn?
It is size 3 yarn
@@AdoreCreaCrochet Muchas gracias
How to make them bigger, i want to make one for age 8 or 9 month and one for age 2 years
Hi🙂. To make the boots bigger. I have a pattern on my website for the boots in sizes up to 2 years: adorecrea.com/product/baby/crochet-baby-shoes-and-socks/crochet-baby-booties-3-24-months/
Good luck with the project😊
@@AdoreCreaCrochet thanks 😊 and sorry for the late reply
Do you have a pattern for a new born size?
Unfortunately I don't have that, but you can easily make the boots smaller by using a smaller crochet hook size❤
Guys how many chains are there meant to be??
It is all in the video and the written pattern on my blog www.adorecrea.com
Are these newborn sized ?
They are size 3-6 months. But you can easily make this boot smaller by using a smaller crochet hook and some slightly thinner yarn🙂
❤
🥰❤️
Is there a written pattern
Yes there is: adorecrea.com/crochet-baby-booties/
🙂
8:51 by 6 times do you mean 2 HDC 6 times and HDC 6 times alternatively??
Hi I mean everything I say in the video. And not anything else🙂
Do you have measurements for these booties?
Yes I do. You will finde them right here: adorecrea.com/crochet-baby-booties/
Back loop : looks like for bootie back loop is furthest away from project, and back loop of ribbing is Closest to project
Back loop is alway the loops furthest away from you 😊
That double crochet decrease is not working for me
Im sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the double crochet decrease. Don't worry, you're not alone - mastering new crochet techniques can be a bit tricky at first. Make sure you're following the instructions carefully, and remember that practice makes perfect.😊
I want written
Here is the free written pattern: adorecrea.com/crochet-baby-booties/
