LOLOL Thank you, Mikey, for sharing that "Usually I screw up on these booties so bad it's not even funny." It's good to know someone on your level screws up a project too, and makes me feel a little less timid to attempt this project, because I'm sure I'll be frogging this at least once. You're such a fantastic teacher! :)
Very helpful! Would have gotten bogged down on the back post double crochet without this video. (Back loop / back post - confusing to me...) Your tutorials are very concise and easy to follow. Love the way you say, "And, I'll meet you back here." Thank you!! Will be making a pair tonight!
Mikey not only are you a great teacher you make crocheting fun because of your unique sense of humor I love watching and listening to you. You always put a smile on my face. Thank you 🐨
I made these booties for baby shower pink bernat cotton. They were such a hit. They want adult booties. Lol. U have a pattern like this for adults. Thanks Mikey!!!!!
@27:47 lol, I've had booties come out the wrong size too! Making these today, thank you Mikey. I'm an experienced crocheter, it's just nice to crochet along sometimes or get an overview of a complicated pattern from your videos, I so appreciate your time and efforts.
so so love all your patterns you do and meaning not just baby booties..everything and everything you do...you explain and show so very well...thank you for sharing..iv learnt so much from you and im just a beginner..
Thank you Mikey, your instructions and video were so helpful. Being a leftie, I thought I was crocheting the opposite direction, but they turned out cute.
The stitches are all easy, but it is hard to keep count, especially on corners and wherever you have to sc2t. I had to try two times and the second was much better. Now I have to see if I can get the other one to come out the same.
Thanks so much for the lovely baby booties tutorial Mikey. I don't even want to write anything negative as I love them but have to agree with Brittany that they look weird and definitely won't lay flat, so I'm going to do another lot and try what Darlene suggested as I so love these. x
@@suzannebisby6455 Sorry Suzanne I've only just seen this message. Yes, i missed out the 2nd row of Dc, they were lovely and fitted the baby perfectly. Stay Safe and Happy New Year,x
I enjoyed making these booties but struggled to follow at times which stitch you would be going into eg slip stitch. Also at 17:20 I had never done this type of stitch before and strugled very much to see what you were doing, a bit slower and closer would have been helpful there. otherwise, thank you for the help.
Hi Mikey I was wondering if this pattern could be adjusted to fit say a toddlers feet. My son is almost four and loves his shoes so much that when I take them off at bed time he screams blue murder, so I wanted to know how I could adjust the size of these booties to fit his feet? Thanks
this is such a good tutorial and a sturdy bootie- but I accidentally increased when doing '2 together'- instead I did 2 in one stitch. I completed one bootie, and it is a bootie, but it looks like a 12 month quadruple EEEE bc of the accidental increase. Now that I realize my mistake, I will make more the right way since this is a very nice pattern. thank you!
I downloaded this same pattern and was confused when I got to the instep part. I should have check if you guys had made it first, it would have saved me a lot of confusion and fiddling.
I watched to the video and it looks like it doesn't really matter. Just make sure that the seam in on the inside when you continue on to the next step.
I followed a long well until i am now supposed to add stitches down the side i have no idea where to place my hook to add the stitches. You explained about the back loop which was fantastic but now i am lost
I tried two different ways. On the step that calls for two rows of FPDC, I changed it to one row FPDC and one row of FPSC. I also tried substituting one row of FP Half DC and one row of FP Single Crochet - that worked the best to make a flat sole.
yeah the bottom was pretty funky looking so i didn't do the last two rows for the bottom and just sewn it off and it came out looking great in my opinion but next pair i make I'm not going to do the last three because it wasn't as flat as i would like it to be. 😊
I usually can follow your videos extremely well. I got confused after doing the seam of the back of the cuff. I read the pattern trying to follow along with you. The pattern says SC and you are doing a HDC. Plus you don't ever say how many stiches in total for each row so i look at the written pattern and sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. It take so much more time to try and figure out how many stitchs there should be especially when do beginning chains. don't know if it counted or not. This causes it to be wonky. Gonna keep trying though I like the style of the booty.
its because no one wants to admit booties are pretty free style. sure theres a pattern - but make them a few times and change it to actually become something wearable. These that he made look cute- but no baby feet will fit in them as is. Keep trying - booties are the devil.
As I look at your cuff it looks like you didn't go all the way across on the last two rows. I can see why there are comments about not knowing where to place extra stiches.
I love the Bootie but the sole is driving me potty, I hate how the soles not flat 😣. I'm going to have to try and edit this pattern for the sole I think. Anyone have any ideas how I could do it?
It would be sooooo, helpful if you Could slow down your instructions as I am a learner to crochet booties, I do so went to learn but the speed at which you crochet is extremly difficult for me to follow,,in the meantime I do appreciate your allowing us to have your free tutorial, very very greatful, Dolores, please please try to slow down your stitches
Marcia Carroll most people who make this will probably have a bottom that doesn't lay flat, this guy crochets very very loose. try working your stitches just a bit looser than normal and it will totally lay flat for you.
Sorry but I’m experienced at crocheting and I could not follow these instructions. After hours of trying to work this out, I give up. I’m moving on to a different pattern for booties. I’m not sure why I’m having so much difficulty.
It's getting on my nerves too.I don't know how to slow it down so I can watch it slowly.Anybody know what I mean?I am stuck at getting the stitches after you finish the cuffs
I did not "dislike" this video since I appreciate the quality of the tutorial. However, the end result does not look like the image. Also, I do not think these would be very comfortable to wear with the seam rubbing against the bottom of the foot.
You can slow down the video yourself. Click on the gear on the bottom of the video and then click playback speed. It's send on normal but you will have a few choices to either speed up or slow down the video.

I love your tutorials. Always do clear.
Just made these out of yarn bee forever plush. They are so cute I wish there were adult sizes!! Thank you so much for sharing this adorable patten. 💗
There may be roll down slippers on Ravelry from other people who may have written a pattern for it. I would check there if you are interested.

Thank you Mikey, your instructions and video were so helpful. Being a leftie, I thought I was crocheting the opposite direction, but they turned out cute.
Glad it was helpful!
I bought this pattern awhile back and was so disappointed I couldn’t follow it past seaming the cuff, so thank you for this video! 😸
I love these booties. I made one (0-3month) no problem but it seems a little big. I used everything exactly as the pattern calls for. Great video.
If you reduce your hook, you can get them to be smaller. Your tension may be a bit loose compared to the original design.
Thanks for a great video. Finally made a matching pair booties.
Thanks!
Thank you so much.this is the first time I am trying to crochet , you made it so very easy😃
Thank you for sharing. Great tutorials!!!
I really enjoyed your tutorial. Thank you.
Great video, love the way you explain it, so easy to follow. Love making your projects
Thank you for this video. Made my first pair of booties today!
I LOVE THIS PATTERN. I'M LOW VISION. I MADE THESE FOR MY GRAND DAUGHTER.
❤️🧶❤️I’m sure your grandbaby will love them and find them comforting. ❤️🧶❤️
This is such an old video, but I found it, and I made my baby boy the cutest little booties. Thank you
Yeah, it's been a long time since I did this one. You can see the evolution of hosting and technology changes when looking back.
The stitches are all easy, but it is hard to keep count, especially on corners and wherever you have to sc2t. I had to try two times and the second was much better. Now I have to see if I can get the other one to come out the same.

Hi, did you make these in a different way and if so how did you do it please? Did you just not do the second round of back post double crochet? Thanks

cute I like using that kind of sewing needle as well
Thanks Mikey - great clear instructions
I love it Is there a way I could do a newborn booties?
Awesome 😍

The written pattern is quite confusing, but this video is of tremendous help. Thank you!

Tried it and came out well...
What do I do when I have more spaces than 23 stiches to place the yarn??
Are you putting right sides together when you whip stitched the seam of the back of the bootie? Thanks Mikey
I watched to the video and it looks like it doesn't really matter. Just make sure that the seam in on the inside when you continue on to the next step.
How would you make for adults
thank you so much i learn a lot from your video Sir
I followed a long well until i am now supposed to add stitches down the side i have no idea where to place my hook to add the stitches. You explained about the back loop which was fantastic but now i am lost
Thankyou so much
When u do the single crochet with the decrease then single crochet along end is a decrease do u join with the chain or join with the single crochet
how would u do adults?
me encantaaannn!!!!!
Thank you so much how can i do goin with pans for baby
can you use a smaller crochet hook for a smaller baby
love this pattern
Hi I can't get this yarn here but I'm wondering what ply yarn you are using so I can figure out how to alter the pattern for what I'm using. Thanks
I loove these booties! I have made 2 pair so far but I was wondering if there was any way to get the sole flatter?
+Brittany Parry I've been wondering that same thing! I really don't like how the bottom came out on mine.
I have made 3 pair and they all turn out that way. I tried different decreases going around and I can't figure it out!
me too! I wish it was flatter maybe if we make the sole and sew it on !
I tried two different ways. On the step that calls for two rows of FPDC, I changed it to one row FPDC and one row of FPSC. I also tried substituting one row of FP Half DC and one row of FP Single Crochet - that worked the best to make a flat sole.

Mikey, the count is not working out when I get to the instep 23 st, if u skip 7 work 8 =15 leaving 9 unworked =24 stitches not 23?
Thank you so much
You mention that the yarn was cotton and cooler. Does it have less fuzziness??? If not, what does?
Thank you so much I enjoyed it
How would i adjust for newborn size

I'm trying to figure out how I got a different row count for the cuff when I measured it, it was 6"
Sheridan Earnest I have the same problem I,m trying to figure out why!
Sheridan Earnest crochet education
probably yarn, I had the same issue, using a thinner yarn
Sheridan Earnest weeppl
I could b the yarn ur using cuz I used Bernat Baby Sport and had to do 26 rows for the cuff. So I think different yarn and hooks make different sizes
What is meant by “sew center seam” in crochet?
How can I make this for newborn and primi?

These are cute- but the sizing is whack - will remake using my own count for stitches- GREAT lesson for sure.
