    Brings back great memories. I'm glad I was a teenager in the 70's when Los Angeles was so different. Makes me sad as to what it has become today.

    I miss the days of being so excited and overwhelmed inside a record store. Oh, God, those were great times. Thanks to this video, I'm headed out to Valley Relics Museum when it opens today. It's literally right down the street from us.

    This tune has taken on a whole new meaning for me with these images, thinking of my mom all the way in North Carolina.

    Wow, that was pretty powerful to me, it brought tears to my eyes 😪, I was born and raised in the Valley, I used to play at Golfland miniature golf, arcade and waterslide, valley plaza park was behind there and right next to that was valley plaza, I grew up in Noho from the early 70s into the mid 80s, but pretty much lived all over the valley, and all the pictures in your video brought back alot of memories, I remember it all, thank you very much for video, it really made me happy, oh how I miss my childhood!!!👍👏👏👏✌

    I KNEW there was a mini golf in North Hollywood off the 170. Everyone I've asked says I'm crazy, that I'm thinking of Castle Park on Sepulveda. Thanks to this video I'm not insane.

    As a east coast NY teen I dreamed of going to Cali for the beach the cruising and the girls..then....Now close to retirement I can go anywhere but I know those days are long gone......I might not even stay in the US...sad thing our parents fought in WW2 they left us a great place but we stood idly by and let them burn it all down.

    I went to that Pinecrest in 1974. Edna May Dye was Principal and would come to class and swat kids with a paddle in front of the whole class. LOL.

      @World Coming Down 5780 illegal immigration did do a number on the city, many people don’t like to talk about it.
      They’ll be quick to complain about neighborhoods gentrifying, but the fact that illegal immigration has made much of the city look third world is something people don’t like to accept.
      It’s not a skin color thing, it’s an issue of principle and economics.

    • @LA_HA
      @LA_HA 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Contaminated is a strong word. Overpopulated and under valued is more exact. I really appreciate that most immigrants now come from poor countries and immigrants aren't usually educated or have skills, and are encouraged by some to resist "doing as the Romans do," so the outcome is unpleasant on many levels.
      But, it's not their fault. It's the fault of voters voting in people without consideration for the issues outside of a small laundry list too many low information types focus on, so infrastructure, administration, business, finance, education, etc get shoved under the rug instead of being The Focus.
      At least, that's what seems to have happened, and continues to occur in my view
