Greetings Sharon, any tips to flatten out the design im the paper towel? I used a cheap grocery store brand but there's still little bumps.

you can iron out the bumps with an iron or a hair straightener. Before you do that, did you try to wet the paper first and see if those bumps disappear? If not, try a small sample piece before you begin, wet with the glue and let it dry (you can speed dry with a fan or hair dryer)
