Bought a used Fz6. First bike, thought the throttle play was gritty. Cleaned, greased, lubed as per your video. The smoothness and consistent action my throttle has now is one of the most beautiful things I’ve experienced in my life. 🙌🏼
Im trying to change the grips on mine and just realized the grip and the throttle tube is all one piece. What a great design 🤦♂️ gonna have to buy a new throttle tube
most dirtbike shops sell a tub of waterproof grease that is basically a lifetime supply for like $10. you can use it all the time for bolts you don't want to rust up, random things on your dirtbike or car, etc. the brand I have is maxima.
y'all don't make fun of me but one of the cables on mine was a bit freyed and I couldn't get it in right so I just cut it off. the throttle works great now but I don't know what that other cable was for.
Such bullshit they use Phillips screws still today like what the fuck give us a hex head or Allen key Philips or one time use fasteners they strip and cause a headache eventually
Odds are it isn’t actually Philips but JIS. Looks like Phillips but not the same. You won’t strip with a JIS screwdriver. But yea, Allen would be nice!

Have a yz450f that had gritty throttle and followed your video step by step now it twist smooth even better than factory. Thanks!
Great job. Your straight forward and professional.
This helped so much and saved me a ton of time and money
Most helpful video on TH-cam!👍
Great Vid. Super helpful. STEP BY STEP 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Great video it helped me i was having problems on my crf 250r but did what u show and now its good thank you
Ur video got me outa trouble tonight
I use my nans toothbrush to clean the handle
Good video man 👍
I wouldn’t use grease. That’s what gums up everything anyway. Light oil on tube and lubed cable but no grease on the throttle cam
That dry oil stuff
Great vid, thanks
I did this and it helped but after further troubleshooting the throttle cable was frayed and taped down below the number plate by the previous owner!
Cheers mate

Lock on grips. Just took a set off my 450 r and it was not fun now having trouble with the new tube and grips.
Awesome vid and edits and filming and bike and shop
Thanks!
When i took my bikes throttle apart a little white thing came out like a plastic white thing what is that
Won't that grease/lube attract dirt and gum up the throttle tube and cable housing?
Racer = sanctioned id - well documented! You will be - indicted! X'= Our Oriental women!
Thanks very helpful
What type of grease

@@danielgardzina6982 thanks
Be nice to know what year make and model
Can I do this even if I have hand guards on my bikr
Yes just use an allen or whatever bolt is used for the guard.
Throttle cable sticks from carburetor
Good video tho
Only thing wrong with video is namura… had two piston skirts break within an hour. One wiseco, no issue.
