- Part 2 of 3 videos showing how to convert the Bruder John Deere 5115M tractor to radio control using hobby grade components. I tried to keep the tractor as original looking as possible and use readily available inexpensive parts in the build.
Parts used for the build :
Bruder John Deere 5115M Tractor part number 09814 (with trailer 09816) www.brudertoys.com/en/usa/rang...
Tamiya gearbox (from tracked vehicle) www.amazon.co.uk/Tamiya-70108...
Hobbyking 15178B servo hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking...
10 A ESC like this www.banggood.com/10A-ESC-Brus...
The (now discontinued Orange GR300 receiver I used (can be found on ebay second hand) - shown here for dimensions hobbyking.com/en_us/orangerx-... I’m sure that other radio systems could be used if the receiver small enough

When you put the rear wheels on the wrong way wrecked my day.
😂they are on the right way now😂 👍
very informative conversion..
Glad you think so! Thank you! 😀👍
Nice work
Thank you! 😉👍
Beautiful video! Senks)
Thank you! 😀👍
Great video and what great method for rc conversion. I'm scouting the net for a decent cost effective way to convert my kids 1:16th Massey and see all sorts of methods. I thought the Tamiya gearbox would be a bit too weak for the scale, your nut and tube idea for attaching the wheels is brilliant!! I think ill go this way too. First thought I'd get two geared motors and hubs but your way seems to be a better idea
The tractor is one of my favourite conversions. Runs very well. I think I improved the wheel attachment in the later videos (see the sprinter transmission - I think I did this better). 🙂👍

@@RCModders i saw it. nice one too. whats the length of the driveshaft on them tamyia gearboxes? cant estimate it from the video, looks like 12-13cm. i've got a couple of 12v 100rpm geared motors for that 1:16 we have. saw people using 25mm tube for housing the motors and flanges to attach the wheels. ive converted a 1:60 Bruder truck using WPL gearbox and diff. works fine, just no suspension. looking forward to the MACK conversion. saw the pilot episode, well done
Just measured one - 100mm or 4 inches approximately.
It can be rebuilt Steyr 6300?
good parformance
Thank you! 😀👍
I am making one soon but it’s a all metal tractor
Sounds great!
how i parchees gear box
The gearboxes are made by Tamiya and are easy to find on Amazon. 😀👍
Brother can you give it to what
Sorry, I don't understand. 😀👍
