Former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo is very good friends with Disco Inferno and has been for many years. AEW star Dax Harwood fired back at Disco when he took a shot at the company's safety record. Russo discusses the whole episode in this edition of The Wrestling Outlaws presented by Sportskeeda. Both Dr. Chris Featherstone and EC3 offer a more neutral perspective on the situation. @@imsljr420 Disco Inferno was a midcarder during wrestling's hottest period. He was a comedy act. He has made himself a commentator on the business itself and he is entertaining. "DAX HARWOOD" is a jobber during wrestling's continued decline. Never have and never will watch him "work"

Just like MJF when his contract was running out it was " oh he's so great, wait until he goes to WWE, I can't wait" then he resigns with AEW and it's " he's always been overrated, I never liked him, he's not a draw".
Agreed with the Vets here, they worked in a more successful era than any of these modern guys have and want to impart knowledge to grow the business. Issue is indy level talent think that they are too good to listen to vets or go to the WWE.
That sounds like the dumbest shit ever and not shocked to see a whole fed pop up from that logic and wonder why no one watches it.

Dax had trouble in WWE you think he would've been a top guy in WCW. There was tons of jabroni Saturday night house show wrestlers in pocadots who looked like Daz back then doing jobs
Another fact in this debate that is often omitted is that WCW was packed to the gills with legit stars. It's harder than you think to move up the ranks when the biggest names in the business are in the Company. Flair, Hogan, Savage, Hall, Nash, Sting, Luger, Steiner, DDP, Goldberg and others were on the top of the card, as they should have been. FTR is a good tag team mechanic combo but they have never been on top, either. Dax has never drawn a dime and is in a company with possibly one legit star - Jericho. I think MJF has all the potential to get to the top but isn't there yet. The point is that Dax should concentrate on getting to the top of the card instead of feuding with guys who aren't in the business any more.
Legit stars who came from the territory days. Now its the indie scene where the people in the ring look like the fans in the crowd. Totally different talent pool to choose from nowadays and its not fair to compare. You used to get guys in wrestling who came from body building, amateur wrestling, and pro football backgrounds. Now its just dudes who are glorified stuntmen who came from backyard wrestling.
To be honest, you can say that Jericho is no longer much of a star in the industry. He’s faded quite a bit in recent years.
@roybatty5028: It almost staggers the mind when you think that future Legends such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brian Pillman, Eddie Guerrero, Mick Foley, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Booker T., Kane, and Triple H. were Booked as Midcard WCW guys. That is how jampacked that the insanely stacked WCW Roster was at the time!🤔😉🎤🤼♀️🤼♂️B.W.
@@Chaz4543 None of the indy guys are draws or stars. AEW has no drawing power. They're losing ratings. Meaning people are turning away. Arena's are empty. Where the star power. Why isn't Dax filling the house? You can fairly compare anything. AEW compared to WCW. It's making the same mistakes. It's over paying talent. It's having bad storylines if they have any at all. Yes the matches are good. That is the strong thing with AEW but wrestling isn't just matches. It's like action scenes in movies. You need the story to make the action scenes to work correctly. Wrestling the same. You present the story
I'm so glad FTR has finally been exposed in Aew. I legit never understood their appeal. They are one trick notes with their promos, they're small and out of shape. Unless you call rotund a shape, and they're just huge marks who cosplay Bret Hart matches.

I don’t get Vince Russo’s point of Disco Inferno working for WCW when they were making billions of dollars as if he contributed to that lol. That campany made money because of guys like Sting, Savage, Goldberg, Hogan, Hall, Nash etc not Disco Inferno. Disco was just there for the ride. Next Vince Russo will say the concession stands guy worked in the WWE during the attitude era therefore he’s the reason for their success, lmao.

Trust me, Disco Inferno was definitely OVER. Him and Alex Wright were unsung heroes at WCW, Norman Smiley is another unsung hero for WCW.
