I know your use of 'Stan' makes you edgy as fuck, but we likely have more in common with being a fan of AEW. I watch AEW most weeks in fact and catch the TH-cam shows when I can. If it was comedy wrestling, the specific image of a gentle hug, leading to the move off the edge looked shit. It has to at least look like something that could feasibly exist. It could have been done much better, and AEW have done it better.

Cassidy was jacked compared to Cole
OC has always been in good shape. He usually has a shirt and jacket on so you don't see it unless he is wrestling. Look at pictures of him in his Fire Ant stuff. As for Cole, some people just can't get a good physique no matter what they do.
Adam always looked like a guy who skipped leg day, but now it seems like he's not working out at all.
OC got really in shape in the last year.

Only thing I disagree with JC on is the fact that Cole is probably choosing to do all of this. In NXT he had bookers giving him direction. Cole came to AEW with no direction. It's different from Punk and Bryan, who are stars. They know how to protect themselves...

But fuck dude you have to be somewhat aware of how you are presenting yourself. I’m 24 and knew at 16 that presentation was the most important thing in anything, entertainment, public speaking, intimate relationships. Convincing people you are someone is more important than actually being that person, look at politicians. If Adam Cole has been in wrestling for almost a decade and hasn’t figured that much out then he’s never going to really be a star. He has to be the most ignorant fuck in the locker room if he doesn’t know how to get himself over.

@@___RC___ So AEW doesn't want to be the biggest wrestling company on the planet, got it. Look I hate what's happened to WWE too but AEW was supposed to be an alternative and I feel like more and more there really no different then the goofy stuff I see WWE do. They have bright spots obviously with Punk, MJF, Danialson, Darby etc. But there is so much dumb stuff sprinkled throughout that I find myself fast forwarding through alot of it to get to the good stuff. When they said alternative I was thinking like a modern day version of the NWA back in the 80s which was from an in ring standpoint the superior product to WWE (though WWE had some bright spots back then like Savage, the Hart foundation etc). I was thinking a more serious approach like early 2000s ROH. But they've been very goofy in there approach and I don't feel they've delivered. Like I said they have some good things but you have to sift through alot of muck to get to those things.

I was at an NWA show where Cornette was bringing a mystery opponent from ROH to challenge for the NWA title. It was Adam Cole and the first time he said "Adam Cole Bay Bay" I totally get why he feels the way he does now about Cole.
he believed that Cole was the future. He literally handpicked him and Kyle and put them in a program with Richards and Edwards.
Maybe Adam Cole the manager wasn't such a bad idea considering what he's doing now...

I agree I have been so disappointed with how… jiggly Adam Cole is. He had like 0% body fat in nxt now he is at like 15%. Not a good look when you in underwear.

It sad to see that Adam Cole, a very exciting talent being reduced to this. Fighting Pockets, the company mascot. With CM Punk and Bryan Danielson signing Aew and now it grabbing more eyeballs and putting up fantastic matches mainly by the likes of Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole should be in the same league producing one brilliant match and another. But he is fighting mid card and participating in inter gender wrestling matches. That doesn't justify his talent.
The more I see Adam Cole, the more I understand why he didn't get beyond NXT.

I know Cornette hates that kind of programming but I could really see them doing some great comedic spots together (Danhausen should make it a point to where he has the record for the longest and most powerbomb symphonies.)
Cole’s AEW theme is the only good thing about this run.

This was never a match about Cole or Cassidy. It was an Intro for Danhausen. Plain and simple.

Which is a waste of a main event match. I love that Danhausen, but if the point of the match was to introduce Danhausen, it should have happened earlier in the night in a less important match.
I can't be the only one who knew Cassidy was winning this match? It was one of the most obvious setups I've seen used constantly over the years. Whenever you hear the words "unsanctioned" or "lights out" when it comes up in the match it's nothing but an easy out match. Cole will explode next interview, he'll start by blaming the Bucks and Cutler causing the split and then he'll start announcing that the loss doesn't count due to it being "unofficial" and "not on the record books". I'd be more surprised if it didn't head in that direction in the end and Cole admitted to the loss.

AEW may say the match didn’t count but it doesn’t change the fact we saw pockets beat Cole on tv.
Yeah I kinda knew it was going to happen because in their minds, it gives OC the victory he needed while it protects Adam Cole because the loss doesn’t count. Only problem? We saw OC pin Adam Cole. Cole was pinned by someone who’s gimmick is designed for people to laugh at him. But they backed themselves into a corner because if OC didn’t win, in their minds Adam would have buried him. So how can they protect Cole and give OC the elusive victory? Have a Lights Out match where Cole’s record isn’t stained and OC gets his win. Unfortunately, all I could do was laugh during the whole thing and I couldn’t take Cole seriously after the hug OC gave him and he couldn’t get out. Also I knew Jim was going to eviscerate this thing which had me laughing even harder. 🤣🤣

Making him debut the same night than Danielson, one of their two biggest stars, was the stupidest things they couldve done... He got completely overshadowed by somebody who's doing the best run of his career. If they werent anxious about surpassing wwe they wouldnt be mindlessly rushing the fuck out of things and shooting themselves on the foot.
The story was simple: The Bucks bring Cole out of jealousy for Hangman's success. And thats it. Cole bring O'Reilly and Fish, so the bucks realized they fucked it up and ally themselves with Hangman. And the rest is history.

This reminds me of Rey Mysterio. Remember how small he was in WCW. Dude looked like a child. His son looks more like a man than Rey did at his age despite the height. But since he was a cruiser weight, his body wasn’t a concern. He wasn’t going to be a main eventer. However, that changed when he came to the E. Rey’s WCW look wasn’t going to cut it. He had to get big to compete. I swear when I saw his debut, my jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe that was the same Rey. Dude was built. He was just as quick and agile as before but this time he looked like a grown ass man. Even at 5’6, I could still take him seriously over guys like Kurt Angle, Batista, Edge, Randy Orton, etc. because he looked like a grown ass man. Adam has the talent and the charisma but just like a lot of these wrestlers these day, they are scared of lifting weights. I don’t get it.

1. Even if that grip was tight, Adam physically looks bigger than Cassidy. Blurring the lines between kayfabe and reality, that spot shouldn't have lasted that long or not happened at all.
2. It should've been a wrestling match turn into a brawl and Cassidy grabs chairs or whatever.
Britt's promo, it went to long, but her save with her last name wordplay was nice. All of her other promos outshined the one she cut last week specifically. He greatest promo is the one against Ruby Soho so far.
I don’t understand what people think is so great about Britt. She’s no better than your average heel female wrestler on wwe.

Orange Cassidy is mega over. Like it or not he is a draw. He pulls in a lot of views and the fans love him.

This match was wrong in every fucking way, the match was horrible, they put over a clown and buried so much potential. The best thing about the match were the 4 seconds with Danhausen popping out from under the ring

Danhausen is hilarious and can be very entertaining IF used the right way. Have him do backstages interviews and stuff. Everything else Jim says is 100% correct.
i haven’t seen his stuff but from what i’ve looked up , i think he’s better if he’s used in AEW as backstage talent not as a wrestler.

Short of finding out Cole has some sort of tragic illness and he wanted to get away from WWE because his body is actively failing him and he knew he has to go wrestle weird gimmick matches in order to try and get over, this is actually sad. He’s been outright booked to die since he showed up. It’s hard to think there isn’t SOME kind of reason.
