🤯When you find out BTS can and should be used in schools! 🤯We will look at their UNICEF/United Nations speeches, and Class of 2020 speech and performance sometime soon, too! How'd we do on the meaning of the video/message?

You did really great ! And I think you'll like their song "School of tears", one of their pre-debut song (you only see RM,Suga and Jin in it) which is talking, already, about bullying and this is their question : who is really guilty? It's an underrated song so people doesn't really talk about it but the way you were talking about bullying made me think of it, you'll find it pretty interesting, I'm sure of it.
The original video doesn't have subtiles but you can easily find lyrics videos.

      2. First listen to the song Answer : Love Myself (There's no Official MV, there are live ones with good quality & may be eng subtitles also. If you don't find both quality & subs, at least know the lyrics).

I think you're interpreting their messages well , in this video or the other video that you watched so far. Fortunately I never experience bullying or see one when I am growing up . This message will help kids / adults that have experience or still experiencing one. But from time to time , we all need reminder to love our self and like you said " let your light shine, or don't let everybody dim your light"

To your point about using BTS's message in a school/educational context, there is just so much material to go on. I am in human resources but work with mentoring young adults and doing professional corporate training. When I bring up BTS in conversation or if I am trying to drive a point home by referring to their message and body of work, I am almost always met with scepticism and a few raised eyebrows, but it isn't long before they are seeking out BTS music, lyrics and influences on their own - much like you are both doing right now.
But yes, do watch the speeches - I would suggest doing it starting with their 2018 UN GA speech, then the 2020 UN GA speech, and ending with their Dear Class of 2020 commencement speech. It never fails to impress me that for such young individuals, they are able to conceptualise deep, complex ideas and make them so simple and relevant for anyone who is willing to listen. Sit back, and enjoy the ride guys. :)

Hi, I am a teacher from Indonesia. Inspired by BTS, Last year I opened a self love class as an elective program for high school students. It started with a conversation with a few students who also an ARMY, talking about BTS but then I had 15 students who interested joining the class. Most of the student's reason to join the class was simply they want to understand their true self and be confident to be their true self. It was an amazing experience for me and the students, sharing and finding way to understand and love ourselves and how it impacted our lives, especially in their teenage years. 💜

It makes me crazy when adults pass off bullying behavior at the elementary level as just kids being kids. As if going to middle school is some sort of magical transformation so that only then do you have to address bullying.
It is so much easier to keep guiding kids on the right path instead of trying to change behavior 180 degrees.
We have brain science that proves kids cannot learn if they don't fel connected to the others in their school and safe.
As an elementary school librarian, I see 500 students every year. And I want to make connections with each one every year.
I have seen this video before but it made me cry again. And reinforces my decision to be in education.

Before you check out the speeches, which are all inspirational while totally humble, check out their song ANSWER: Love Myself, which was like an anthem during their Love yourself World Tour. Watch a lyrics video, then a LIVE performance. The whole stadium is bathed in a collective hug. Psychoanalyst Murray Stein described that phenomenon in BTS concerts as a manifestation of ANIMA (from Jungian theory).

I don't remember or know when things started to change. but, when I was a child, if I made a mistake, got into a fight with a friend, or got scolded by the teacher, and then I told my parents, it was definitely me who would first be asked what I did so they scolded me. but now, when I work in education when there are children fighting, parents don't ask how things really happened, they are busy defending their children first. when in fact it was their child who started the mistake. they seek justification for their child's actions

Guys thank you so much for this video. As mother and ARMY at the same time I only can say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You clearly understood from the very beginning what does BTS do for people. Unfortunately parents, teachers, society in general complain all the time about the new generation, but let's be honest they don't do too much for them. BTS has been doing so much for them from the very beginning but unfortunately society refuses to listen to their music for example radios have the power to spread something so deep, meaningful and helpful but they prefered ignore them, just because there's racism, discrimination, they don't want to go out from their comfort zone getting into a new language. So guys I'm so happy you are doing something great by giving your support to BTS, thank you so much.!!! Sorry for my English. 💜💜💜

I think the girl in the bathroom on the phone typing and the other one in the corridor were there to portray the non physical bullying. I think the well in the middle that bts rings signifies the kids tears and sorrows. And when the storm comes it solidyfies the diamond inside of it. The tears are wiped. It starts to shine, or we notice that it shines. And the kids gather their strenght to go on, find the power within them. Music is often an escape for bullied or unhappy teens. They can understand and express their feelings through it. It is therapeutic.

Actually the song that played in the video is called ‘Answer: Love myself’. It has a very deep meaning and beautifully written wise lyrics. When i first heard this song, i cried and that song was kind of a consolation for me. I understood that even though I’m not perfect, have lots of flaws, that is not the reason to hate who i am. As their ‘Life goes on’ lyric says, “sometimes Broken is beautiful ‘. All sides and imperfections that we have could be our strengths, that shows how unique and beautiful each of us are.
Previously, I’ve been hearing a lot about them and never took them seriously. I didn’t understand why so many people loved them. However, after hearing their music and message , that has deep meaning behind and isn’t made just for money or popularity, I genuinely thanked universe, for living with such beautiful from the inside people at the same time. While other people, who are not even a little familiar with their work and still looks down on them just because of jealousy or thinking that they’re nothing but just a beautiful dolls,i feel sorry towards these people, since they dont know the beautiful/healing message behind that BTS carry through their music. Throughout my entire life I’ve never been a fan of anyone, but these 7 humble boys are just special. I would really want people to stop slandering someone, just because they are doing what NO other artists and singers do. These guys deserve better. They’re the voice of millions of people, they’re society’s medicine. Im proud to call myself ARMY.💜
P.S. please forget my poor english. Also, for writing a whole poem here😂BTW, love you guys!

Yes, BTS'S Love Yourself UNICEF Campaign is still going on. Their is also a remindervideo for it that they are saying this is their third year.
BTS donated to UNICEF and a certain percentage of the album goes to UNICEF and some merch related everything goes to UNICEF. If I remember right.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
BTS is not just talking about it they are actually trying to do something about it too.
As far as what they can do.
The BTS members knows how it feels to be bullied. They've been bullied themselves too (it is still going on because everytime they bring out a new song you have people who always feel the need to make hate comments etc).
I admire and respect Them for that reason too (there music is on another level).
Like what you said; some people who've gotten bullied in the past are turning into bullies later in life.
Everyone else in this comment section already told you the rest.
Keep going. You: te doing great.

Answer Love Myself is one of the best songs in their repertoire imo esp the message, nevermind how good it sounds sonically.

So I teared up to the point I couldn't see the screen anymore. Happened alot for me listening to the song in this video; 'Answer: Love Myself'.
You really should check it out, start with a color coded lyric video (no MV) and then check it out live too.

I was bullied too. One day I had enough and hitted back.... I got in trouble...My parents don't care that much before. But after I got in trouble.. they had to come.... and saw how things were. Still thought I was exaggerating. But after that things got better. Soon no one bullied me.. I tried to help others too...

Thank you for looking into BTS message as well and not just the aesthetic part of them. BTS is sooo much more than anyone could have imagined. i appreciate the educators i read through the comments too who is not afraid to share the message. you're also using your platform in your own ways to share positivity that the world needs now. That's why i cant compare BTS to other artists as i feel there's just no comparison at all. How can people even compare these boys message to a song about ice cream.. sorry but i just can't.

Another BTS song that goes along with the “light inside” theme is the song Stay Gold. If you watch the video for that with the subtitles on I think you will see how it dove tails with everything that you are saying here. There is also a support group/subunit of ARMY Educators that support and help each other. I tried to copy and paste the link but it’s not working. 😖. I will try again in the comments of a subsequent video.
