My cat is dying. He is 17 years old. He can’t eat anymore. 9 days he ate so little. He just drinking water. Seeing him breaks my heart, crying sometimes. Pray for Felix the cat.
On Sunday I was mad at my Gizmo because he was jumping over my desk like a young kitten. On Monday I knew that this was his last day. I happens so fast.
My buddy Caesar was always a cranky little tyrant (its why we named him after the roman dictator). A while before he died he suddenly became super friendly and attention seeking. I think he knew what was coming and wanted comfort from the family. He lived to be 20 and we kinda all knew when his behavior changed suddenly that his time with us was probably limited and just made the most of it with him.
I adopted Mona early 2010 and had her until September 2019. She died peacefully after hiding for a while under the bed. Mona filled my life with happiness. She loves affections and being picked up. She loves people and never hide when company arrives. She loves attention and always craves for it. I miss my sweet cat Mona. She always slept with me and always wanted to be with me. She basically died of old age. A beautiful cat that will never be forgotten !! 😥😢😥😢

As cat companion owners, we observe our cats daily and even try to note litter box contributions to know they are having regular bladder and bowel emptying. It's necessary to have a veterinary examination with blood work done to check for abnormal enzymes which would indicate disease or physical trauma. Then a course of treatment may be followed and that would enable life prolonging through both nurturing with nutrition and giving water, as well as medication regimens necessary at specific points for set durations. It's a sensible and careful approach after diagnosis that helps recovery. Also, keep cats indoors and nurtured as it allows cats best outcomes in their lives.
Hopefully Ellise doesn't kill my cat. Screw humans though. My cat actually had many of these symptoms. When we put him arthritis medicine, things became better. He is happier and can do everything but jump high. He has stairs to the bed and window. I know his hips hurt, and I rub them. He hates this but purrs at the same time. The only change I've noticed besides that is that he wants to be with me, and if he thinks I'm unhappy with him, he'll vomit and cry. I don't yell. I had to do a treatment today, which he hates, and so I locked him in the bathroom. I talked to him through the door. I've put him there in timeout before, and, thus, he believed I was angry. I only raise my voice if I'm afraid he's going to get hurt. I said sorry, gave him a treat, anyway. However, he's officially a stalker. Next time, I'll have him go into the back room.
My big sister bought our Persian Angora cat named Snowbelle back in 2009. She was a kitten. She never got sick for 14 years. Because we never allow her to roam on the streets or we might lose her. We allow her to walk on our yard to get some fresh sunshine. She grew up rude & vicious. Giving us claw cuts & bite wounds for years. She never got sick until she had a seizure in May 27, 2024. & she can't move, only her head. We rushed her in our nearest vet. They made a blood test on her, the result was normal. The precribed her some calcium syrup. I gave her some calcium by a syringe dropper when we got home. & a few minutes later she was cured. She can now walk & sit straight up.(Thank God,) Then by April 25, she got a seizure again. During seizure, her sharp claw wounded her paw & blood spitting everywhere. She was not paralyzed this time. The vet removed her sharp claw piercing her paw & they cut all her sharp claws. It was a "very hot" summer here in Asia in 2024. Then I notice this May that she was walking non-stop around the house looking for hiding place while breathing heavily. I first thought she was having a heatstroke, so I took her a bath & got refreshed. But on d next few days, she was walking around endlessly & breathing heavily again. & I took here bath again. Then until d next few days, she was still restless. & I notice that she wasn't peeing & pooping for days until before. So I decided to take her to the vet again. They can't determine her illlness because she was on internal pain. The vet suggest to take her for an x-ray. So I took her for an x-ray & pass the results to our vet. They notice she have a lot of poop on her stomach & enlargement of the heart. If those poop were not come out, she will have a blood poisoning. So the vet gave her some laxative by a syringe dropper & suppository before we got home. She got pooped when we were home. Then I took her a bath to clean her up & got refreshed. But for tthe 2nd dose of laxative she can't poop, Maybe because she's now eating wet food & not dry food anymore, she have nothing to poop. But I notice that her pawas & legs were getting weaker & she can't stand up. So I gave here calcium syrup to make her paws & legs were strong again. I'm now worried to death that I can't take it if our Snowbelle will be gone. She was a healthy cat back in 1st week of May 2024. Sitting in the kitchen just asking for her feeds. Now she's sick. I wish & pray that she will get heal & become & healthy just like before. & not dying at 15. 😢
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. Male. A cat lover! Anybody, please weigh in: My prior two cats, did something unique, both within 2 years of them passing. My male Manx cat, would rub me, and when I purposely went to another part of the bed, he would follow me there, and come rub me again! My brown female tabby (she lived to be 18, so nothing to complain about), within 2 years of her passing, she would rub me, I'd move to a different part of the kitchen table, and she would come over, and rub me again! Thing is, she never did that when she was younger. Compartmentalized, of course, we cat lovers love it when our cats rub up against us like that. But, is it just coincidence, that when my two different cats "followed me around the bed/table, and kept rubbing me," they were in the final year or two of their lives?
@@justacat2 How old is your cat? Hopefully, she's young, and it's a "good rubbing." Actually, with my two mentioned cats, it was more that they would FOLLOW me around the bed or kitchen table, and keep on rubbing me, that was coincidentally within two years of their passing. If your cat rubs you when you come home, or when you're bringing her food, then all is good! (and, I do hope your cat is happy and healthy)
This is what’s been happening to my kitty. She’s 13 years old; losing weight, sleeps most of the time. It’s time for her to be mercifully put down. It’s so hard when beloved pets decline in age.
My female tabby cat was 18 years old, and lived a good long life. Her kidney was failing. She had clearly declined, and was nearing the end. One Saturday, I put her on the kitchen table, she climbed down on the chair, climbed on the floor, and curled up at the bottom of the CHAIR! Never before would she have done that. I said, "Oh, that doens't look good." I took her in her carrier, drove to the cemetery, and rested her on my Dad's tombstone, and then took her to the cat clinic. That's the ONLY reason I don't want to get cats, despite being a big time cat lover: They pass away, and 12-18 years goes by quickly. Just seeing them DECLINE, from the days they were lively playful kittens, is hard to watch, even as they "only" are 11-14 years old. It's hard seeing them unable to leap up onto the table or counter, like they could when they were a kitten to 8 years old.
Check medical first always. Could be something that can be taken care of w your vet. Believe me, if you know your furbabies, they will let you know when they are ready.
My Cat was always happy and in and out his Cat flap like a yoyo, he is only 8 yrs old and has become quiet and refuses food quiet a bit. Now he barely comes in the house, at times just to get treats then goes straight out again. Even though I bought him a cost bed he turns his nose up and walks away to sleep on the soil in the garden. He seems to have taken living on the roof of our house and now barely comes inside except for a little food and but treats..I can't work out why he has changed so much and is very quiet and not as vocal as he was!
Finally, you answer the question I needed to be answered because my cat hasn’t been moving half of the day and tomorrow if he’s not moving, I’m gonna actually cry. I’m not likely stab myself till I die so I can still see him.
