Well, technically it was a 320x256 display but it had a big ol' fixed border all around the outside that you could change the colour of but not much else. Actual properly addressable pixels were 256x192 though, yes.

The bass sounds really fat for the AY. How did they achieve this? The usual trick was to use two voices playing the same note only slightly tuned away from each other. Okay, so I guess the drum track alternates between drums and the second bass voice. Okay, never mind :) But it sounds really great!

@@sweetmochi6707 Well, Pouet is a good website to get information on demoscene. I don't know much about the community itself, but they basically try to show up technical programming skills, sometimes for old hardware like the ZX Spectrum, Amiga, Commodore 64, IBM PC, etc.

You're aware the spec only has a 3.5mhz z80 and a beeper, right? If it works on this, you're a good chunk of the way towards a working implementation on pac hardware.

Мне более интересно как они запихали кадры. И что за алгоритм который это в видео память кидает. Частота кадров приличная. В демках было 1/50 секунды. Тут понятно не так. Но классно же. Или проц быстрее пентагона?
всё прекрасно, вот только расстроенные высокие никак не сочетаются с низкими, тональность куда то плавает как у жёваной ленты, вот если бы этот питч плавал не постоянно а в определённый момент скажем в конце ритма, а так чего то режет слух, мог быть звук красивей

I can't help but feel that a ZX Spectrum version should just be half an hour of hissing tape data loading noises then a couple of beeps and boops with no actual music. Spectrum games really sucked at having any music to speak of.

Arcade Machine hardware (Take Pac Man, a 3MHz Z80 with a WSG for sound for example). I'd love to see anyone port B.A to _that_!
