I couldn't agree any more if I tried. However, Tommy Vexts vocals and just the way Bad Wolves did the song, they did it justice. Fun fact, Delores was adamant about other bands covering her music so much so that Bad Wolves was the ONLY band she ever gave her expressed permission to cover this song.

Initially, Architects released “Doomsday” as a standalone single on September 6, 2017. It was their first new music since their seventh studio album All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us (2016), and also the first since the death of guitarist and founding member Tom Searle (released close to the one year anniversary, August 20, 2016). Almost a year after the song’s release, it was announced to be part of the band’s eighth full-length Holy Hell, the album is set for release on 9th November 2018.
In this song, Dan addresses death and views it as both the ending of their world (i.e. doomsday) as a band and as friends, but also acknowledges it as a new beginning. He also addresses the fear of losing memories of their bond over time.

The original song was about Ireland and her vocals from the cranberries version is powerful! These guys really took it up a notch and if she was on it I would say probably the best combo of a remake ever! Sucks she passed R.I.P
it was a hit before she passed. But when she did they released this, the date was modified from 1916 to 2018 to add respect to her untimely death. We all loved her, we all miss her.

Where I come from, there are those who listen to hip hop and those who listen to metal. They are very devoted to their respective genres and typically hate each other. It is a very toxic relationship between these two groups and confrontations usually result in death. This is what I grew up with, am used to and totally expected to see out of this video (minus the death part).
