The dse they are pretty cool wish they would just let the paradenser be their way to economize because those ecophase pumps are 15,000 dollar nonserviceable pumps.
Yup. They are refrigerant hungry by two fold. The two large receivers AND all those threaded fittings that cause them to leak. I just fixed leaks on the one a few months back. I had to use some better thread sealant and it looks like it did the trick on that one. Both sight glasses have liquid. The other one next to it does not but otherwise still got good pressures. I'll have to follow up on thre next quarterly. Maybe something to fix next fall. It takes forever just to evacuate these systems.
Anyone work on the R22 version of these?? Having a hell of a time with one currently. Whoever installed ziptied the HP switch wires across the high side outlet near the compressor as well as zip tying the line wires to the compressor onto the compressor hook. Which naturally wore through the insulation and grounded the compressor.
Is that a hot gas valve for re-heat? Seen a lot of newer Lennox Humiditrol units here that have reheat for humidity control. Humidity is probably not so much of an issue in the desert southwest where you are though! Except for maybe during monsoon season, but that's usually pretty short I think?
Most older lieberts have a hot gas for low ambient control. Older meaning pre-2010's. 70% of my work is on these, but I have not worked on any newer lieberts for the past 5 years.
No micro channels, 2 big ass receivers, not to mention how long the line set is, that's crazy! I have a building with about 20 to 24 30ton Liebert's and they take about 45-60lbs of 407c/458a each compressor (2 compressors each unit) depending upon lineset length.
@hackfreehvac Yes, the building I was talking about in the comment is 4 floors, 6 30ton units per floor. 1st floor is offices, the rest are data rooms with racks as far as the eye can see. Funny enough I'm going to start a hvac yt channel. Watching people like you on TH-cam have inspired me.
Have you seen the new Liebert unit with a refrigerant pump on it to allow free cooling?
Like an economizer?
I haven't seen that.
hackfreehvac basically. Our company installed a few.

Those things leak like crazy especially around the liquid receivers. I can always bet when I walk up to one it will be undercharged.

Yeah man. I used to use Loctite 565. Just switched to loctite 554, works very well. Good for low and high pressure refrigerants.

It's still quiter than a Goodman
Much quieter than some of the Goodman turds in his other videos for sure!

It's just capacity control I believe.
Although this unit does dehumify some there is no hot gas line going to the indoor unit.

Next nano channel will hold .5 oz
Wow! 45 lbs? Goodness

Wow, must be a data center or something?

Only thing worse than the Liebert Condenser is the Liebert Air Handler
No kidding.
what is a good ac :
hold less gas ×
quiter than Goodman √
PFH CONDENSER.
Not very efficient.
When a heavy equipment company try their hand at ac they leak like thier dump trucks.
These things are a cluster &&&@. Not very reliable electrically I’ve noticed or at least ours haven’t been where I work!
