Pats face when Sam just waffles on without actually making a point or even saying anything is fantastic
He does tend to say a whole lot of nothing hahahah, so does the speccy guy with curly hair
Bro was speaking Yapanese
@@yessi1585fucking hell you went straight to the throat
29:35
Sam is your average Football Twitter user
Sorry but my highlight of this episode was Pat saying ‘Peter schmeichel literally spawned another title winning goalkeeper’
Sam: ‘courtois!!!’
Pat: Courtois is not Cech’s son😂😂😂😂😂
My favorite part. The stats don’t lie
Watching Pat argue other peoples point just cuz he has to correct Sam 😂😂
That shit had me dying man, he felt more obligated to argue against Sam’s points than support his own choice
He has an unreal ability to talk absolute shit but say it confidently enough to make him sound like he knows what he's talking about
This video gets my approval for the “there is no kasper schmeichel without petr schmeichel” argument 😂😂😂😂
Ready for Sam naming 11 Chelsea players
Lets get Henry to continue moderating this. I like his method of awarding pts
Would rather him being part of the debate over sam imo
@@jonathanpuggleworth8259 sam getting clowned on is amazing though
Team Talk is your new best show on this channel by a country mile, please never let it end!
“Nah, you base it off dani alves” 😂 love pat, dougies face 😂
From this, I realise David Silva is criminally underrated. One of the classiest midfielders the league has ever seen, and was consistent for over a decade at City.
They could do another 2 separate midfield 3’s before having to think about silva imo
True, he was something else, also Santi Cazorla , Fabregas were magic in midfield but their output wasn't near to what KDB, Lampard, Gerrard, Viera delivered!
Very overrated player. Not a goat at all
True, but he doesn't get into the all-time XI. Not a chance
@@onlyweatherlol93Silva is City's best ever player
30:46 as a Chelsea fan I cannot disagree with Pat here. Every time Chelsea is remotely mentioned Sam’s brain disconnects
Sam was crying like Chelsea doesn’t get any credit despite 3 being chosen or nearly chosen.
I love it for the entertainment but the guy is clueless, lampard over kdb is classic
@@thesimulator4096Lampard is probably one of my fav players. He isn’t better than Scholes and KDB. I mean clearly you should be passionate about your team but god damn he’s biased af
I'm 20 mins in and it's hilarious that both Pat and Dougie wrote the same names as Sam and all three differ from McCubbin yet when Sam starts talking, they immediately shoot down all his arguments to wind him up as if they didn't write down the same names LOL
I think that’s actually pretty annoying as a viewer. Sam is an idiot don’t get me wrong, but the guys are almost condescending every single time he makes an argument shooting it down, even when it’s valid.
Only regret not hearing the rest of Pat's ranting about Terry and Ferdinand. Undoubtadly would be gold 😂😂
That cut to Dougie and Mikey’s face when Pat ranted about Terry was hysterical
These debates including old players are far better than current debates. No mention of stats every 2 seconds. I like it
The Peter/Kasper Schmeichel argument is one of the funniest things I’ve heard. Can’t argue the stats !
taking away VAR is like Brexit. A lot of people think that once it happens all their problems will vanish only for them to realize, once it does happen, that they were better off before
Totally agree with the comments about how these incorrect decisions have always been around. It was boring before VAR when everyone endlessly blamed the refs "how could they not see that" etc. and its boring now. Overall VAR has improved things and will continue to make mistakes.
It’s not so much var it’s the mixed up rules they have to follow. One game it’s a handball one game it’s not.. one game it’s offside the next it’s on.. there is no consistency and no set rules to go by.
@@colincolin5696 I would definitely agree with that, offside, handball etc and in general they are clearly missing stuff. I'm not keen on the idea of hearing the conversation either really. I know it works in other sports but we'll just end up with hours of scrutiny of each word and intonation of each ref as they are dragged into the court of social media and punditry.
"God, I just want the refs to be able to rob teams without being held accountable by fans and social media, its so miserable" 🤣
ohh mistakes have always happened, so now we have a system to eradicate some of them, let's just keep making mistakes and tell the teams it happens to to stop crying
I would pay to watch Pato take the piss out of Sam, that's how interesting their dynamic is
When they were having a giggle about Sam trying to have 2 conversations at once, they literally feel like father and son, I love it
Tbh I love the balance of an Henry, Rooney, Salah attack
I think in ten years Allison will be considered the best GK due to his ability to make massive saves and play the ball - also don’t forget his goal and assists
Schmeichal was a far better keeper, Allison isn't that good with his feet.
Peter schmeichel has the better trophy cabinet. But there's alot of time for alisson to come good on that front.
He is able to make a lot of amazing saves have a good long passing range, underrated ball control.
He's probably Liverpools best keeper this decade not discrediting the others before him
David Silva not being mentioned hurts my soul. Consistent throughout a midfield that changed quite often, played at Xavi and Iniesta levels, and was crucial to the trophies that city won. Always love these videos though, great arguments and great energy!
Pat arguing against Chelsea players even when he has them written down imagine my shock
Team talk! Thanks so much, this has been so good recently. Can't wait for this one. Much appreciated ❤
The way pat looks at 29:30 is exactly how I look every time Sam speaks
You can tell PVS is pretty much done with football in general at this point which weirdly makes him even more engaging and entertaining
Henry: Points for different players...
CUBBS: This is where I go conventional!
Watching Brighton Chelsea in the cup makes you realize we need VAR + better referees
Keep this guy as a host immediate good energy and good introduction
Thanks you Sam for the weekly comedy football show 🤣 love your work
Absolutely love Team Talk and this is one of the best. A (mostly) rational and well though out discussion about a highly debated topic. Was very enjoyable.
Also Dougie's front 3 is the correct answer. And what a front 3 it is.
Having a gk debate when most of the panel were in nappies in Schmeichels prime is utterly redundant
Henry and Salah play very similar positions and are undoubtedly the two wide forwards in a 4-3-3
No chance. Get some standards, please. Henry is a certainty. Salah is nowhere near
@@onlyweatherlol93who would you put there instead?
Mike did not believe in that goalkeeper arhgument😂😂😂😂
Love Pat's general disdain for Sam's opinions...
I am the biggest Messi fan you'll ever see but everyone having Salah over Ronaldo on the right wing is genuinely ridiculous.
Pat when Sam repeats the last persons point as though it’s brand new information. 😂
I would have played a 3-4-3 system, only to shoehorn in one more central defender and an extra midfielder. The pool of backs are small enough compared to central defence and midfield that i feel totally ok playing without backs.
PVS really can't hide his disdain for Liverpool, can he? It's bizarre.
He argued pretty well for Trent and Robertson though.
As a Liverpool fan I actually agree with that point. It’s a travesty the goal wasn’t given but at the same time other large profile mistakes happen all the time. Just this year, Ake and zaniolo were clearly offsides and blocking the keeper which should’ve meant a disallowed goal but because the games were not high profile or competitive, it wasn’t viewed in the same light. VAR checks on both
@@Karl_Havock As a Liverpool fan you agree when he says it's almost a good thing that it happened to Liverpool? And again, we're taking about a factual error vs subjective decisions.
Most annoying fan base tbh, can’t blame Pat. He’s not even really biased towards Arsenal or anything, just speaks sense.

Facts
Pat saying to Sam "it's gonna be another Chelsea player isn't it" with the mic on his head took me out
Sam is only good on team talk when Pat is there to temper his nonsense
Wednesday becoming one of my favourite workdays of the week chippy & team talk.. let’s go!
I feel bad for Sam he basically never gets points ever no matter what he says
Pat is kind of becoming a cult hero lol
Surprised Agüero didn’t get a mention. Golden boot winner, most goals by a foreigner, multiple time PL winner and most PL hat tricks of all time. Deserves to be there over Kane minimum
Pat in these shithouse situations is top tier content
They need to sit Pat and Sam next to each other on every show they appear on its gold
It always annoys me how Vidic rarely gets put as the best Premier League centre back in these type of debates. He's a two time Premier League POTY and is the greatest out and out defender in the Premier League era. He's very much a Ruben Dias type in that he's not the most progressive CB, but if I needed someone to defend out a lead, I wouldn't trust any other CB as much as him.
Alisson;
Walker-Terry-Ferdinand-Cole;
Gerrard-Keane-De Bruyne;
Salah-Henry-Ronaldo.
Schmeichel over Cech is absolutely ludicrous.
Not really they’re both the stand out goalkeepers of the premier league just in different eras
Nah Pat bro your take on the Liverpool - VAR incident is actually atrocious, this wasn't a subjective decision, offside calls by the VAR is one thing that we aren't supposed to argue with because offside is objective, you are either offside or you are not - simple. As for fans thinking it is only happening to their club, that is a fair point, but that doesn't mitigate the fact that a decision which ultimately led to Liverpool losing one of their most important games of the season will have no ramifications
One of the best videos this year. Loved it🤣
It’s almost getting to the point where having to listen to Sam for 1/4 of the video is not worth the good stuff in the other 3/4. Thankfully for him the scoring is made up and he can get some pity points every week
My favorite episode of the week, always look forward to Team Talk
People talk about Walker's defensive ability has always been great, he was a liability at Spurs and early City days.
Highlight for me is Dougie saying he got called amrabat on tv 😂😂
Dani Alves is both Walker and Trent combined. If Trent can improve his defending he can one day reach Alves’s level which Walker will never achieve. I would take Trent.
Weirdly both Dani Alves and Marcelo, even cafu were criticised at their time for bad moments of defending. It goes with the territory of an attacking fullback.
@@amolmehrotra1296 exactly. He only developed his defending as the time
went on. Cancelo the same thing. With age comes the IQ for positioning. Trent has achieved a lot for a guy that’s just 24. He should be praised way more
It’s interesting as the two main elements at play are longevity & talent, both of which can give very different choices.
And two of the players with the most talent and longevity didn't make the XI / weren't even mentioned (Scholes and Giggs).
@@hughtube5154 scholes didn’t have the most talent hahaha
As a Chelsea fan, how can Henry even be debatable? He's the first name on the list. No contest.
VAR offside should be done with Hawkeye like they have in tennis, not a human drawing a line with MS Paint at a skewed angle. Get 30 more cameras in the stadiums, they can afford it. Use tech to make the offside CALCULATION, not an “assessment”.
And the joke is that this is how it’s done in the Champions League! So at this point the premier league is just being wilfully blind to the best solution.
What did you cut out? Did Pato say John Terry would win Serie A solo as a one man team?
The gap between Robertson and Cole is way too often overstated. Robertson is a lot closer than people think
Sam going “that is terrible” about schmichel is peak bias
pat looks so sad whenever sam is speaking
Regarding VAR, the reason I want rid is because you can’t properly celebrate a goal without worrying about it being chalked off
I'm a simple guy. I see Pat, I click
0 ball knowledge in midfield department.
Midfield: Kante, Yaya Toure, KDB. In a few years I would even say Rodri over Kante
If it’s an argument of “on their day” (similar to the argument people give for drogba), yaya is arguably the best midfielder in premier league history. Going forward he was unstoppable, going back he was incredible, on the ground he was elite, in the air he was dominant. Flair, entertainment, technical ability, physical…
To add to this, I think Rodri will potentially go down as the best 6 in the premier league
one player that never even gets mentioned for best Centre back, is Sami Hyypia, he did it for 10 years consistently, in much worse teams than those that do get all the plaudits, a threat in both boxes, a leader, and Liverpool never really replaced him till Virgil, just a shame he never had a true world class keeper behind him, im not saying he would get in a head of those others, but the fact he never gets mentioned really annoys me, possibly one of the most under rated centre backs in Premier league history
I really like the way hockey does VAR. Each team gets to request an appeal for a decision, and if they are right about it they keep their request, but its taken away if they arent honest. There have been many incidents where potentially game changing moments just arent checked because the ref or the rules didnt deem it important enough, and this would probably encourage teams to be more honest about fouls.
Isn't a similar thing done in cricket as well? albeit the decisions are much more clear cut in some cases as compared to football or hockey. It's so weird how cricket has a much more nuisanced way of making checks to umpire decisions as compared to football.
@@theendlessphoenix2799 I dont watch cricket so I cant comment on that, but hockey fouls are generally more noticeable and less debatable than football fouls, since rules on contact are much more strict.
I will also say that they way hockey VAR affects the decision might be a good way to make football VAR better, in that the video assistant umpire is check if there is an OBVIOUS REASON to CHANGE THE UMPIRES CALL, not to completely review the incident. The video footage of the video umpire is also broadcast during the decision (althoigh ive only seen highlights of bigger international competitions, since hockey isnt a very popular broadcast sport). That being said, I think a similar model would work quite well for football.
Sam and Zach do my head in whenever I hear them trying to argue for one of their opinions
So much respect to the guys they tolerate Sam during arguments 😂
I want to know what Pat said about Terry that had to be cut
Release the pato extended cut!!!! As a John Terry hater I need to hear all the slander. Also as a Fulham fan he’s has to be the most insufferable player to ever exist, I’m glad we made him cry in his last ever game.
Aguero not beeing mentioned is absolute crazy
And Suarez
The way they all except of Sam try to avoid putting Chelsea players in this because of pure hating is the ultimate cringe i swear.
All of them sound like this: 🤓
Pat's face when sam starts talking about Chelsea
Pat you’ve redeemed yourself with the Hazard props
You’re brain disconnect when Chelsea comes up 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shit take from Pat - comparing referees refusing to overturn the decision they knew was incorrect because they didn't want to deal with the fuss vs ordinary VAR errors
Henry Hill is great as a host. Hope he keeps it over Joe
Kante, KDB, and Vieira would be the best midfield in practice
Feller in the PSG jersey may want to work on his communication skills...
Trent as best fullback? Get the F outta here…dude has no defensive awareness….people sneak in behind Trent ALL the time! He’s terrible defensive position and awareness
This could be a Prem TOTS so far discussion and Sam would find a way to involve Gusto😭
Disappointed that we didn't get to hear Pato's full tirade about Terry
Pat has to be so annoying. Arogent, patentious and can never ever be wrong his poor wife. Wasnt beat enough as a child clearly
@@zacdecastro-bunce3931 i kno 🤣🤣🤣
Chelsea fans deserve to not have Sam arguing for us😣
What Pat is failing to take into account in the VAR / Liverpool section is that there’s a difference between making a mistake and not being able to correct it and making a mistake and REFUSING to correct it
What you're failing to see is that according to the rules about how VAR is used, when they realized their mistake they were no longer able to correct it. We can debate whether that's right or not (I think it isn't), but at the moment it is what it is. Even with VAR mistakes will be made, and when it happens to your club that will be awful to deal with, yet you tend not to notice the far greater amount of times VAR makes the right call and the decision ends up going your way because of it.
Watching that var talk on Liverpool was actually embarrassing
Sam's inability to be unbiased when it comes to Chelsea will forever be legendary. The streets will never forget.
John stones one of the best CBs in the premier league
City’s back line was an utter shambles for YEARS outside of Kompany. Having Otamendi good 50% of the time and Laporte at the end doesn’t change that.
That scenario Pat explains with Martinelli, is not equivalent to a disallowing a blatantly onside goal at all its like comparing an apple to a lasagna
Nice to hear a brief mention for Andy Cole, doesn't get the praise often he deserves
Totally agree with the VAR discussion. Maybe it’s because I also watch cricket and rugby where technology is used well. I think VAR has potential it just needs to have a better process. It would be so backward compared to other sports if we didn’t have var
Pat was hilarious when he said step up, i love this guy
