Lakers really went in the bubble and said don’t guard Westbrook, leave him open he’s no threat. To, trading away every key piece to get Westbrook on the team. 😮
Nuggets literally came into this season worse than last season. They lacked depth and the others abandoned Jokic and Murray. Ant shot 25%, but got a lot of help.
They need to improve bench.
Dynasties are over because once you pay the superstars all the money, there is nothing left for role and bench players. The one thing all dynasties had in common are guys who come off the bench and execute their jobs. Once a team wins a championship then everyone wants to get paid and there is not enough to keep everyone around
The talent pool is also deeper and more evenly distributed, arguably the most evenly distributed since the 1970s. In the East, there was not much difference between the No. 2 seed (New York) and the No. 8 seed (Miami) this season. In the West, there was no clear demarcation between the top seven or eight teams. Depending on the matchups, about eight to 10 teams could have won the title the past two seasons.
Anthony Davis got hurt in 2021 against the suns. We were up 2-1!
I like it. It’s better than when the warriors and LeBron in the finals every year. Different teams is better for the league.
Mike Smith's Nola accent is on display today.😂😊
It's hard to repeat due to injuries and/or losing some key role players to free agency.
Free agency, salary and NBA-economic-caste-system structure savvy, and strength of depth and chemistry, are required for the possibility of back-to-back. Jeff Green and Bruce Brown Jr. were key contributors to Denver's championship season. Their departure was not adequately addressed via the draft or free agency.
Every team has had its own different circumstances. The Raptors lost Kawhi the next year, Lakers lost Lebron for a portion to drop in standings and AD in the playoffs, Bucks lost Middleton in playoffs, GS benefited from injuries in previous year and had no size VS the Lakers, Nuggets ran into a team that could match them at all positions, and the West is better. Overall there’s just more parity.
Bucks lost in the first round to the Miami Heat. Playoff Jimmy Butler moment.
Micheal Smith is just yapping smh
What's the logical point of saying 2nd round? That's literally 50 percent of the playoffs... There's only 4 rounds . Winning one game is very difficult let alone a series. I think people just be saying whatever
Nuggets are who we thought they are
A one year wonder
Just like the warriors bucks Lakers and raptors, the previous champions. Relax brother they will be one of the favourites still for many years. Winning is hard
Ya and the timberwolves finna do the same thing lol next year. There will never be a dynasty ever again in nba history with the new rules but the upside is small market teams like Denver, Minnesota, okc, Utah, Memphis, and charlotte have a chance just as much as the other bigger name franchises. Although, the hornets have always found a way to suck though.
Mike Smith is right. Giannis got hurt last year in the playoffs and got dumped by the 8 seed in round 1
But that was 2 years after they won the championship.
Joker the Choker
@michaelsmith said the @Lakers didn’t repeat because they won in the bubble and that sounds good but in reality @AntDavis23 got hurt the next year.
Jokic has peaked. It’s downhill from here . I don’t think he will be in the league in four seasons. He will willingly retire to go do stuff. In Serbia. With horses and other livestock I guess.
Jokic said he is playing until he is bad so he is playing fo sure more than 4 seasons
@@gfs8957 Maybe. We will see when he turns 30 and starts losing that step.
@@Dustyphoto915 So in a couple months is when he'll lose a step? lol ok bud
@@Dustyphoto915 hahahaha jokic game is aging like a fine wine he is 29 years old no way he is slowing down when he is 30 years old and is not anymore a mvp caliber player
@@gfs8957 Sure, just like he wasn’t gonna lose on a game 7 at home against the Wolves. Jokic gets more hype like he is some Superman than anyone else. We will see if he is the first athlete to not age. I don’t see it but you stay optimistic.
Jokic has no vitality. Slows down the offense and no threat on defense.
wow!😮
How is he slowing down the offense when he is the offense and the system he is running the offense hahahaha you are a mad hater
Teams can't afford to keep good role players. Lakers let Caruso walk, bucks loose divincenzo and torey Craig, warriors lose GP2 Otto porter jr, the nuggets lose Bruce brown, Jeff green. every year the defending champs go the playoffs but get beat by a healthier more complete team.
Except LBJ's Heat, no B2B champions
Golden State went back to back in 2017 and 2018.
Nope
Are the spurs really a dynasty because they never repeated as champs during their run with TD, TP, and MG?
I’d say the 1999-2007 spurs are definitely a dynasty with 4 chips in 9 years
@@gnielsen07 I can give them the dynasty title....3 chips in 5 years. It's just crazy how they never went back to back
Yes we are baby go spurs
There is proof of a Spurs dynasty. Where is there any evidence we should even be having a conversation about dynasties as it relates to the Nuggets?
Warriors don’t count!
