Add to those the bids we had for Trippier and Wilson last year and you have to ask if Eddie and Mitchell are on the same page. The sale of those 5 could have raised around £60/£70million.

There is no way to continue to play a high-energy pressing style without having quality to rotate the starting eleven. It may mean moving on 5-6 unused squad players for €4-7 million each in order to bring in two players Eddie would actually trust to start matches. I’m sick of the drama with Almiron. He should be gone and if we lose more money later in the year then it will be a sin. He has spent his time and other than galloping around like a headless chicken and gives no improvement as a sub.

My concern is it seems like Mitchell looks to be repeating his performance in the last transfer window in this transfer window - in that Mitchell and Howe have a list of scouted, discussed and agreed targets prior to the window. But then Mitchell just watches them all sign for other clubs. Which is why he got to the desperate point last window of trying to save face by getting the final remaining name on the list, but having to bid way over the odds. And then when that failed he started trying to suggest new random names that either hadn't made the pre-agreed list or hadn't been discussed. That looks to have happened with the man city new signing. On top of that, his job is also to move players on at best time for our funds but without negatively impacting the team. He also hasn't done this. For someone so vocal in his negative comments on the previous transfer performance, he sure is taking his time to do anything to help us improve.
TRADE is important but the biggest obstacle is Eddie himself as he doesn’t want to let existing players go FACT Eddie has cost us funds with trips, miggy, long staff, target to name a few they should of gone last year but 🤦🏽 Hopefully Mitchell will speak sense to him and we can move on 🙏🏽
