I'd love to see you review a Ball Watch- fantastic built Swiss watches for reasonable prices.
Beautiful watch 👍👍👍
Incredible dial.
Completely agree. Dial is where it’s at for this one
Excellent review! I am so pleased you reviewed this watch as I am considering buying it but there was only one review I could find and it wasn't as detailed as yours. I am glad the hands are curved as they looked rather flat on the photos I saw. Thanks again and looking forward to your next one.
Glad it happened at the right time. If you think you’ll like it at all, you’ll be very happy with it. Just keep in mind the curved spring bars. But like I mentioned, the stock strap is pretty good
You may wish to consider reviewing the new Sugess Jumping Hours watch, looks quite good. You may have already seen it. It comes in a variety of dial colour options.
@@gabrielscheer255 yep already got one in hand 👌🏻
@@theknightswatch Are you considering reviewing it? May I ask which one you got and if it is as good as it looks? Thank you!
@@gabrielscheer255 I got the light blue one it’s pretty good dial wises the case shape could use some refinement because it wears a little flat. So if you have a 7in wrist and over it’ll be nice on you. Not bad for my 6.5 in wrist just a little flat without any ergonomic curve for my liking
And yep I’ll review it in the next couple weeks
I think it looks so beautiful on your wrist. Having owned the Kurono you referenced, I think this dial is more dynamic, and I actually find the case more interesting than the one on the Kurono. Did they offer any explanation as to why the one thru ten characters are bold, while the eleven and twelve characters are "lower case" for lack of a better term? Well done my friend.
Right! It’s a lively piece. And I agree the case is almost more interesting here but the kurono undoubtedly feels better on wrist to me.
And that lower case feel is just the numeral I believe. Took a Quick Look at Kurono and they do the same thing. I never noticed until you pointed out but interested how the line structure is so much more sparse on those two.
Amazing looks! Would you keep it in your collection?
Yes this one is good enough to keep
The watch is gorgeous but the ghost date position is a sad compromise at that price. Surely an NH38 was cheaper than SW200? Thanks for the review because I've never heard of them. Man, they've got some beautiful dials.
I think the main issue is the nh38 would probably be thicker when used in this case and I would take thinner over no ghost personally.
Would be great if the seller included extra curved spring bars. Might be worth a short asking the seller before buying
That would be a good move. Some extra bars never hurt, and wouldn’t be that expensive to do
can we find original designs from Alixpres
Harder to do. Original designs in general are hard to find. Most of the popular microbrands are homages in some way. But if you have any suggestions happy to take a look!
It's strange that some friends believe that this watch is our plagiarism of a Japanese brand. It is ridiculous that as one of the four ancient civilizations, lacquerware craftsmanship has a history of over 5000 years in China. Lacquerware had already appeared before the Neolithic Age, and the Han Dynasty lacquerware art in China about 2000 years ago was one of the greatest chapters in the long history of Chinese lacquerware civilization. The small Japanese nation, on the other hand, secretly learned Chinese lacquerware craftsmanship during the Tang Dynasty in China. The famous ethnic costumes and kimonos worn by Japanese people today originated from the Tang Dynasty in China, and the Japanese sword originated from the Tang sword in China, while the Japanese script originated from the Chinese characters. A Chinese person has never learned Japanese script, but they can understand many Japanese characters because there are 1006 Chinese characters that Japanese people need to learn in elementary school, and 2136 commonly used Chinese characters as standard in daily life.
Wish it has no ghost position for the watch. I do still question the quality of movement from China....
It has Swiss movements for you to choose from
Lack of ghost position would be nice, but I don’t think a deal breaker. Especially if it keeps the price where it’s at!
@@shawnliu286 Much appreciated. Should be easier to find someone to repair SW200 (though the China movement is a clone, so it may not be hard to find a watch master for it either).
@@hayyuencheng c'mon. SW200 is originally from Switzerland and is not a clone. I actually don't want to explain, even the movements produced in China have very excellent ones, such as the Seagull. There are many examples of this, and I suggest that you don't have bias against Chinese manufacturing. It does have some negative news, but there are definitely good things. If there were no Chinese made products in this world, I believe people from many countries would not be able to live. Go and take a look at the products you use around you.
@@shawnliu286 more worry if someone willing to do maintenance work on a Chinese movement then the actual quality of the movement. All movements still need to be maintained
$385 to $450 "pretty reasonable" for an Ali Express watch with a PT5000 movement!!! 😂😂😂 Seriously???
Ya I don’t see why not. It’s a 2824 clone and that’s not a movement we are seeing at this price point often. Sure we aren’t yet sure on the reliability of the movement but that’s the chance you take. If I understand correctly too, I think the 450 listing is for a true sw200 movement but they don’t make that clear on the listing so hard to tell.
Now that grifters like JOMW have made buying Chinese crap like San Martin cool these AliExpress brands have gotten way too cocky
