    Incredible scene to catch some fish. Tiny Tenkara looks like the perfect backcountry set up! Thx for sharing!

      That’s actually an Anglo and Company Kowasa. I’m not a fan of the stiffness of the Tiny Ten if that’s what you’re referring to.

    Thanks for the video. Looks like a wonderful little rod. In 2019 I asked Anglo & Co if I cold be their US distributor. They said no, explaining that they couldn't handle additional volume.

    That looks like a awesome little rod to have. It's been cool to see all the super compact rods coming out recently, and I assume they can only get better with time. Gorgeous creek you was fishing, and some decent sized fish for the size! Thanks for posting.

    Nice video, thanks for sharing. I'm always amazed how those small wide open shallow streams out west hold so many trout, back east the predators would have a feast. I was contemplating an Anglo rod a year ago and decided against it due to it's obscurity, and possible issue with spare parts in the future. Starting to shy away from JDM rods.

    The Anglo Kowasa is my favorite pocket rod. I handed it to Tom at Oni School and he seemed impressed by the flex and how it could cast. My two desert island rods would be the Kowasa and the Wasabi. Anglo & co make some fantastic rods.

    I think the fish @ 12:00 is a bull trout!

    • @tenkaraonthetrail
      @tenkaraonthetrail  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll go back and take a look at it, but there are zero bull trout in that area. Where there are bull trout closer to where I live, they have signs warning how young bull trout and young brook trout look nearly identical. I discuss that in another video with the shinobi 395… when I actually did catch a young bull trout, when I actually did catch a young bull trout. About the only certain way to tell, the difference has to do with the dorsal fin.
