Beautiful song…never get sick of it. My cat is called Fred Eaglesmith
Fred is the best! The most underrated and unknown musician
One of the best Fred Eaglesmith songs.
You of course meant to say James King, correct?
Thirty years of day to day - now that's a lyric!
First heard this song in 1992 when Sneezy Waters covered it at a show. Made sure to see Fred play the next chance I got.
If ya'll like this, try "No More Buffalo", James McMurtry and "Houses in the Field", John Gorka. As the granddaughter of a hard scrabble farmer these songs hit me hard.
God bless, hope you are doing well today.
What gr8 picking...Fred😉😁💯💓🇺🇸🎸
Pure inspiration
One of the saddest songs I have ever heard. I have always hated that farmers in this country struggle and so often do not make it. We value all the wrong things.
Fred can tear your heart out. I think the saddest lines he ever wrote are "Maybe I could call her up, and even if she laughs at me, at least I could hear her voice". His songs are magic! The Old John Deere always gets me too.
Fred Eaglesmith..............my favorite. He has so many great songs. Listen to White Rose if you want a life story.
One of my favourites. Although it is really hard to choose.
Dang my eyes leaked. So many good farmers and ranchers this happens to.
A tragic song. It has happened to so many people.....:(
Sad but true. Been there done that.
great tune
great song
Pure fucking genius.
Nice Gibson !!!
W H A T !!!!!!
Damn!
I've seen more foreclosures for a lifetime already this year. 😢 Yeah, I ain't a okay
That's all there is to say!
Ronald----Thank you VERY much for turning me on to Eaglesmith, and opening a new door. (TheseI I been tot"n round for the last 72+ years) is closin" pretty fuggin fast. Listened to some of his other cuts (alcohol and pills} and more, and want more. This time of year gets me lower than a ground squirre's belly. Love you more than fried chicken. Will call when this fucking walrus (full grown) decides to get off my dorsal.
