- Raging River is the best water ride at Six Flags Great Escape. This is a secluded Intamin river rapids ride. The attraction was plussed in recent years with some animal statues and extra water effects.

I hope six flags puts more money in this park because it could be a real destination. the area is just so pretty
And the park has charm too.
A rapids you come off almost dry? Sounds fantastic honestly.
To each their own
This reminds me that blizzard river at six flags new England removed the 2 waterfalls that sprayed water on people. It's now just a little area where jets spray water at you. :/
I barely get wet on that one now.
They have been working on the waterfalls in the canyon as well and have been running on and off. They have gotten several new boat the last couple years and I believe all boat received a new tubes
Good to hear the waterfall could come back.
They clearly took some inspiration from Calico River Rapids, and it came out great! Now that they’re in the same chain it would be really cool to see Great Escape become more like Knott’s.
It did remind me of that refurb
How does this compare to thunder canyon at cedar point? I like that ride but there is a chance you will come off mostly dry unless the waterfalls get you.
I have only ridden Thunder Canyon once, but I think I prefer this one with the upgrades.
The rock canyon had a waterfall that was off for years, but for the 2023 season it returned alongside the other upgrades. In my most recent visit though (july 2024) the water fall was once again dormant
I haven't seen the waterfall in any recent rides, so hopefully it makes a return.
Nice to see that people are finally going to great escape. I know it not the best, but it is quite charming
I usually visit once a year. Love the Lake George area.
@CanobieCoaster same. It's my home park and it's always nice to see the new things every year, even if it was gone
like rattlesnake rapids at lagoon. whats the difference
They're fairly similar.
Wow. I didn’t even remember that being there!
It's tucked back there.
I wish kennywood's rapids still had the waterfall. Not only that, but the water for that ride and Pittsburg plunge is green and smells like sewage too!
The water did smell from memory.
can you do a review for the raft ride at sfne
Not at this time. I have too little footage for it.
If that ride only reaches just over 30 minutes, that is nothing, the rapid we have in De Efteling can go past 70 lol.
Efteling is a busier park overall.
first lol
boooooo
Nice!
WTH Is this place
What to you mean?
