Trump was treated overly aggressively by the media since he got into the political conversation towards the end of Obama's last term. They were overly nice to Biden, never mentioning till now that he never does interviews with the press and never takes questions at press conferences. Biden can (or should be able to) handle being treated 5% as critically as Trump was and about in line with what any politician should expect for this short time, finally.
