Great information. Thanks for sharing. I carry two wallets, with not near what you have. I do have paper clips and safety pins, along with 2 lengths of 550 cord. Love the uses of the mirror and the way you use duct tape. Thanks again !
That is nice collection of items which you can use in an emergency. I have my EDC bag which I have to carry with me, plus my backpack to carry everything else I need to get by when camping.
I've made one of these before, but with just a regular cheap wallet. I actual have a video of my survival wallet on my channel. The main thing I wish I could fit in mine is a whistle. It just won't close with a whistle in there. One way to carry more cordage is to make a lanyard on the outside. It's pretty simple if there isn't already a grommet to hole to attach something. Especially, if you have experience in leather work or sewing cloth materials. You can modify the wallet to carry some other items. One thing I would recommend adding in a kit would be a p-38 can opener. There are a lot of uses that small piece of metal could give you. For instance, a screw driver, prying tool, fishing lure/spinner, scraper, Ferro Rod Striker, and etc. It all depends on how much you put your mind to it.
Thank You Alan! But that is one big honkin' wallet...throws me off balance on my 5'6 frame. I'm grateful It addresses many of the essentials and very useable. For me though most of that stuff would go into an Altoids tin, or trim it down and distribute the rest to my belt, wrist, neckwear and head gear. The best under-rated item was the Pre-Threaded Needle because when it's needed, the adrenaline, lighting and weather will undermine threading a needle.
I've never been one to be "starstruck" but I am by you and Zachary Fowler. Btw, why did you name your rock "Moncus"? That's my maiden name.. I'm big into family research.. Thanks for all you share!!!
Lighters are great.I personally love the Clipper and always carry one. However, there have been moments when I have relied on them (those occasional crisis points) and they have let me down. Not the fault of the particular lighter. More to do with the fact that the lighter got wet. When it dried out it was fine. However, in the mean time, I had no way of creating a fire. Hence a ferro rod is not a bad idea as a back-up. But I would say that a ferro rod by itself is not quite enough. You also need something (and this applies to the lighter too) combustable.
This guy knows what the hell he is talking about. Listen to him.
Good ideas! I keep aluminum foil, char cloth, credit card knife, and a fresnel lens in my wallet along with the readyman survival card
exactly
Just a couple 1/10th oz gold coins... wow, that was unexpected.. 👀😲 lol. ...N!CE Wallet set up! Thanks for going through it with us!
Used it myself. A fantastic piece of kit.
Awesome setup. Dude is very slick!!

Great information
Very cool idea
I've carried a T.H.E. Wallet for twenty years now. Wouldn't have anything else. Unfortunately they don't make them in OD anymore.
It's surprising how much a simple, ballistic-nylon wallet can hold.
Great video, thanks!
Carry a blank check. You can write your way out of more than a few problems.
Thank you

Love the thought, but I could never carry it and not feel like George Costanza, sitting so uneven at a table or in the car🤣
Ive been carrying small items in my wallet inspired by mr. Kay. For a container i carry foil so i can boil. Also first
George Costanza's got nothing on this bad boy....
I just upgraded my wallet carry to the orange duck tape.
Why not use a lighter? I know the advantages of a ferro rod, but just wondering your exact reasons.
Alan Kay 👍🏻👍🏻 perfect ty sir!
He does carry lighters. Ferro rod is #3 redundancy.
Mag glass and friction fire are #4-5

I prefer the Squallet. Google it. Very stealthy.
Lmao. Ok I googled it. Had to click images to see what I was looking for. Good stuff
damnnnn 😳
Now, what weighs more: your wallet or your carry piece? 😂
Alan, could you imagine what my ass would look like wearing something like that? Give in, use a man bag (aka, man purse). 😬
Some bandaids, some gum & small knife can be added.
@@ninadhardas i got that, ya gotta see my half pencil fishing rod bro 😁👌
i keep celox in my wallet
How about a couple of paracetamol and a tiny salt packet
@Alan Kay indeed 😁
