    Yeah I would totally get this and load it with every Sega game from Master System through Saturn.

    You didn't talk about the OS you're running, is stock still the best choice at the moment ? And what about Portmaster ? Haven't been able to get that running either.

      In this case, his own linux. I tested android before but the result wasn't the best. Regarding PortMaster, months ago I saw something about an update and confirmation of support via ROCKNIX but as I wasn't having much contact with arc-d, I didn't get to see this issue, but it's a good point.

      i've just tried out some ports games on another sd, but it needs a lot of adjustments (screen rotation, mapping), i'll look into it

      @@Play_Screen I can't even get portmaster to start, and I tried copying the latest version to the correct folder but it just says "starting portmaster" and then throws me back into the menu after 2 seconds

    How does arcade games run? I am a fan of Neo Geo games, and the Sega controls were always perfect for Arcade fighters.

    Hello, how to install latest RetroArch 1.19.1 on Anbernic RG ARC, please ?

    • @Play_Screen
      @Play_Screen  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      These are basically the steps:
      Download the latest version of RetroArch 1.19.1
      Connect the RG ARC-D to your computer via USB cable and mount it as a storage device.
      Copy the RetroArch 1.19.1 APK file you downloaded to the RG ARC-D's internal storage.
      On the RG ARC-D, go to Settings > Security and enable the “Unknown sources” option to allow the installation of apps from outside the Play Store.
      Use the device's file manager to locate and tap on the RetroArch APK you copied. Follow the on-screen instructions to install.
      After installation, open RetroArch for the first time. It will ask for permissions - grant them.
      Go to Online Updater in the main menu and update the assets, databases, etc.
      In Online Updater > Core Downloader, download the colors/emulators you want to use
      Set up your ROMs in organized folders in the storage.
      Scan the ROMs in Import Content > Scan Directory
      Adjust the video, audio and control settings as necessary.
      After that, everything should be fine. Of course, do this on a separate SD card. Some fine-tuning may be necessary to optimize performance.

      Thanks, i installed RetroArch 1.19.1 on the boot/android.
      But on the boot/linux, RetroArch is at version 1.9.13. How to upgrade it to version 1.19.1 too?

    • @Play_Screen
      @Play_Screen  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do the following, locate the folder where RetroArch is currently installed (probably /opt/retroarch or similar). Make a backup of the current RetroArch folder in case you need to revert the changes.
      Then copy the contents of the new RetroArch 1.19.1 folder you extracted to the installation folder on the device, overwriting the existing files. Make sure you preserve your settings and save files by copying them from the old folder to the new one, if necessary. After that, safely disconnect the device and restart it and you'll probably be all set

      I tried everything but the RetroArch version does not change on Linux.
      Did you manage to put RetroArch 1.19.1 on your RG ARC ?

    Tiny comment; the device looks a lot more like the 6 button Mega Drive (or Genesis if you're in the US) controller than it does like the Saturn one. Both are great controllers though, especialy for fighters.

    Como instala jogos no Portmaster?

    • @Play_Screen
      @Play_Screen  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Is it already installed on your device? If not, go to github.com/PortsMaster/PortMaster-GUI/releases.
      There you'll find “Install.PortMaster.sh” or “Install.Full.PortMaster.sh” and download it to your computer. Then insert your device's microSD card (if you're using a dual-card configuration, it's whatever card you use to store your ROM files).
      The next step is to place the .sh file of your choice in the “Ports” section of your device's microSD card. It will usually be listed in the same section as the rest of the ROM folders, which may vary depending on the operating system. Once this is done, eject your SD card and place it in your device, then navigate to the Ports section of your operating system and start the “Install PortMaster” script.
      Once complete, you will see PortMaster in the Ports section of your device; if not, try restarting the device and checking again. PortMaster requires you to be connected to the Internet in order to work as expected, so make sure you connect to your local network before using it.
      When you open PortMaster on your device, you'll be greeted by the main menu such as highlighted Ports, options, log out, that sort of thing. To install “Ready to Run” , this process is very simple, just navigate to the Ready to Run Ports section, choose your game and install it from there. Then exit PortMaster and you should find it in your Ports section. If you don't see it, you may need to update your games list or restart your device.
      To install commercial ports, navigate to the “All Ports” section in PortMaster, choose the game and install it. Note that this will only install the package/wrapper and any runtime files needed for the game, not the game itself. After that, you'll need to manually add the commercial files to your microSD card. And here you can see a list -> portmaster.games/games.html , find your game and click on the “Details” button for that game. This will show you instructions on where to put your commercial files and whether you need to get the game from a specific store, such as Steam vs Epic and others.
      It sounds like a lot, but I've tried to summarize it.

    RG ARC is not pocketable: too thick and wide

      It is if you're a tall guy and don't expect to have anything else in the pocket.
