    Very nice! I recently also got the same Native Watercraft Slayer Propel 10 MAX kayak, and I also posted on TH-cam me catching big lake trout on this kayak recently 🙂

      Awesome congrats on the new yak! How are you liking it? I'll have to go check that out!

      @@FishATX Thanks. Yes I like my Slayer Propel 10 MAX very much. The only thing that I don't like is tracking. I mean I can never pedal straight to where I want to head to. I had non-stop adjust the rudder (turning its control knob left to right, right to left...). I understand this year Native introduced the new so-called Springblade rudder upgrade for Max 10 and Max 12.5, though it is not cheap, and it is currently out of stock...

      Appreciate it man. Yeah they are pricey but worth it! Sometimes you can find a barely used one for a good price. I’m currently working on a full review video of it, which I’m hoping to post in a week or two

      Thank you! Really liking it so far. Being hands free (besides the rudder) is amazing!

      @@FishATX It looks a smooth operation and a good time! Have you checked out those bow mount trolling motor plates from One Objective for the Slayer? 👀

    Awesome video! It’s going to be so nice to be able to move and cast at the same time. You can cover so much more water

    • @FishATX
      @FishATX  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure!! I’m still getting used to pedaling while reeling, but it definitely beats having to paddle and fight the wind non stop! Definitely want to hit bigger bodies of water now.

      @@FishATX Decker is a lot of peddling to get over by the channel. My son and I did mansfield dam park on Travis. That is a big lake! haha, i felt kinda bad because he was in my ocean kayak which is not a peddle drive. He was 16 at the time and full of energy so, i guess i don't feel that bad. We might have to plan a trip

      @FishATX  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BRandomFishing Yeah man that would be fun! Travis is huge for a kayak for sure. Even decker is big, but that’s where I want To hit next!

    Do you get a lot of water in your kayak?

    • @FishATX
      @FishATX  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope! I usually keep my scupper plugs in though. Only open the front occasionally if I do get any water inside. Do you??

    That kayak looks awesome! I hope to one day be able to invest in a pedal drive, it looks so much easier than paddling all the time, not to mention it frees up your hands for fishing haha! The stability of that kayak is impressive too. Thanks for sharing!

      I highly recommend it!! I saved up while using my Pelican catch and it was so worth it. It changes the game being fairly hands free!

    Congrats on the maiden voyage! Seems like a great boat, I really like native kayaks even tho I've never even seen one in person lol

    • @FishATX
      @FishATX  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly hadn’t either! I just watched a crap ton of TH-cam videos and researched what I wanted, then made a trip to a kayak dealer about an hour away to see everything in person. It was love at first sight though 🤣
