Technically, most people ask for a pay raise based on their current needs. The person in question didn't know how to articulate his request. I hope you found a compassionate way to handle the situation.

I strongly believe regardless of one's personal issues, pay rise shd come with credit. I personally can not ask for a ride unless I have added something to the table -and there is always something to add

Girl! You just dropped it right here……… thx.
I also wonder sometimes when people get sick and they ask you to pay their medical bill like it’s your job to keep them alive🤦🏿‍♀️🤯😢
Thx Manuela for sharing… by the way, that colleague showed you how they think and also that was a hint that they will leave soon after the wedding🙈🤣

@@GMpiece it is your job to keep them alive. How else will they keep working for you ? Basic economics

    Here I'm just learning.

Wow. I think on the serious side of this some people don’t get coached for how to ask for a pay raise in a way that is linked to revenue growth, business development etc. The audacity is strong here but also indicates the lack of knowledge on asking for a pay rise and demonstrating the value you bring to the table to deserve it. Keep bringing these stories so people can be wiser 😂

Ok the guy went about asking for a raise the wrong way, bit you don't need to be so nasty about it.
He'll be looking for another job soon, and it'll be your fault.

I mean...was she nasty about it? She seemed genuine in the video and who knows how she handled the actual situation. Hopefully in a kind way. Indeed, going into detail...but too short for tiktok length.. how to better ask would have been nice, though even that she mentioned.

Sir? How was she nasty? And how will it be Manuela’s fault?! Like are you okay? Watch that video a second time and please explain how Manuela is wrong

    •  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@sheebahkabanda8412 didn't say she was wrong; in fact I made it clear that she has a point. She's correct, but the way she talks like she's better than everyone is nauseating.
The little blown kiss at the end is extremely cringe.

So, it's been 2.5 years and he hasn't left the job. Any assumption you might have on how that might be the case?

    •  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@manuelap.mulondo maybe he's not confident enough to go for it.
Maybe he's been trapped in a toxic workplace long enough that his spirit is crushed.
Or maybe he's learned from the experience and managed to solve the situation. Doesn't change anything.
