daniel tice Right?! That night she was sooo good and you couldn’t even tell she was in less than perfect shape. I had only found out about her vocal injury a few months before this performance when I went to see it for the first time. Midway through the show she was replaced by Teal Wicks and I was so disappointed I didn’t get to hear her perform “No Good Deed”. But her rendition of it at THIS performance? It was brilliant! The whole show was brilliant! I’m glad I can share some of it with everyone here!
WOW wow wow! I first saw Caissie in Hair the Musical in London, so never got the chance to experience her Elphaba. She sounds even better than I imagined her. One of my fave West End/Broadway female vocals :)
Brian Nettelbladt Agreed! But she really was amazing when she started as well. The second or third time I saw Wicked was in 2007 on Bway and Caissie was on as the U/S. I’ve seen the show dozens of times since then but I still remember that performance 💚
I think that Caissie was the first doing that "kiss me goodbye I'm defying gra-VITY" in that key, since then a lot of Elphabas from Broadway, tours and West End keeping repeating. Correct me if I'm wrong.
That’s when Elphaba puts her “cape” on and stands up with the broom in her hand. Kinda is the final stage of her physical “transformation” into the wicked witch
literally singing with a bleeding throat. everyone thought this was the end of her career. how wrong they were...just look at her now 💙

She better come back !
Wait, her throat was bleeding?!?!?!? WTF? The poor thing!
@@queenofrandomthings4920 Oh my god!
Queen of Random Things yeah! she had a cyst removed after her run on the show so that’s why she left so soon!
I just hear so much of that 'wickedness' in her voice. I absolutely LOVE her!
Caissie was SO good here. Imagine if they brought her back now.
I'd do anything to get her back into playing Elphaba!!

I think it was shoshana
Kristy Cates used to do that in Chicago before this.
Caissie, I just got a call, it’s Rachel Tucker, SHE WANTS HER LAST NOTE BACK!!
lol well considering Caissie did it first, she says “you’re welcome.”
That note pattern is from Eden.
Bring her back
Excuse me but I didn't understand what happened at 5:41, whatever this is amazing!
Les Little Einsteins "i'd sooner buy defying gravity"
daniel tice no sorry I meant 5:41
Les Little Einsteins that’s when she stood up wearing the cape for the first time resembling the wicked witch of the west.
@@karllove6042 thank you so much
