- The attraction was opened in March 2020. I visited Disney in September and the wait time was still 120 minutes. You can tell how popular this attraction is. It is very worthy for the wait. I am sure you will enjoy the video and keep in mind that it is x100 times more amazing in real life though. The screen can't deliver that awesome atmosphere but I hope it brings you an idea what to expect.
Here is a little background about the ride:
The darling duo are taking a leisurely drive to a picnic in their sporty roadster with Engineer Goofy’s train following merrily along. Plot twist you get to go, too! Climb aboard a runaway railway and embark on a whirlwind ride through a world where the rules of physics don’t apply. Prepare for unexpected twists, slapstick gags and mind-boggling transformations at every turn, as Mickey and Minnie try to save the day.
There’s no telling where this train is heading! This is an adventure for Mickey and Minnie fans of all ages.
Based on the recent award-winning Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a brand-new attraction unique to Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios-and the first ride at any Disney park that stars Mickey Mouse and friends.

Now I know how it resets...
If you closely at the factory scene before it changes, you'll see the projection sheets reset before it changes, it can also be scene if you look behind you in the fourth car after all the other cars exit to the picnic.
Good to know! Hopefully i can go back again soon with my better camera in low light.

yes! things are keep updating all the time though :)
I actually really like the carnival scene “B Mode”. The Mickey and Minnie look much more animated than their not so impressive animatronic counterparts!
and plus the wind + air + sound you will feel like you are actually going through a tornado. I am admired to the whole team who came up with this ride though.
i can't wait until that day...and the wait time may be like 6-7 hours though :) but I am willing to wait to experience that.

Hi Matthew! Thank you for the question. I was there last September and due to social distancing we didn't have a chance to witness the screen entrance like March. We just got in line and wait for our turn. No extra treat :) but the ride is super amazing. I am still amazed how the surrounding senses were put together. Take care!

Man I hate the fourth Cart. It’s always late to the scenes (no offense to any of those who like the fourth cart).
:) sometime we don't have the option to chose which car we want to be in. Hopefully next time I go, I can get in the first car :)
