I can bake bread. I can make very good cookies and cakes. I can make my own chutney's and mustards. I even make my own icing sugar and brown sugar. Two things I can not do is make Puff pastry and Caramel sauce. I even went on a pastry course to learn how to do puff pastry. I simply buy it now. It was to expensive to keep wasting so many ingredients. I can make cinder toffee treacle toffee and peppermint creams but I can not make caramel. I don't know why it just never happens. I have two huge walnut trees in my gardens. I normally collect them and give then away. Now I want to try this. You're an excellent cook. Calm and I love all your different cookware. Thank you for another brilliant recipe
U just have to keep trying. You need the right butter for a good puff pastry. Use bread flour for strong dough. Let rest over night to develop strong gluten strands. Don't press too hard when rolling dough. Keep dough cold. I'm a self taught baker and I finally mastered puff pastry and even croissants
Also caramel is easy. Pot with heavy bottom. Medium heat. Melt sugar slowly and in increments. Don't stir wet caramel until all sugar is melted. U can stir dry caramel from outward to inward to help even melting. Add hot cream, not cold.

Z szacunku do tak ogromnej pracy, kawałek tego ciasta powinno się jeść z godzinę a potem drugą powzdychać.😂 I'm absolutely not a lover of whipping.Yes, sometimes I like to make something, but making this recipe would border on the miraculous and I would rather have to take something to calm me down as there are a lot of details. Out of respect for such a huge amount of work, a piece of this cake should be eaten for an hour and then a second sigh.😂
