I love these more technical videos, where it's not just "big thing go brrr" but instead there's a lot of discussion how to chose alternates, what they're doing during the flight, how they're briefing for potential dangers, the walkaround, etc.
A running joke, still running ;-) Was war der Auslöser?

I love that they tell the passengers what's going on. A few of my friends are scared of flying partially since situations like go arounds made them think they had a near end experience. At this point explaining doesn't really help but they're much more chill with talkative pilots tho. Thank you :)
Like everyone else it felt like we were on the flight deck. In fact with all the extra info from your friend the FO it felt like we were along for his check ride. What I loved was the planning ahead for plan B, then another plan B. Thanks and stay in close contact with the wonderful people with Condor to let us ride along in your jump seat. Thanks , Jim
Flew with Condor a few weeks ago. Loved the regular updates from the pilot... Unlike some certain airlines now, where they don't even give you preflight briefing or welcome speech.
This video has answered many concerns I have had before considering a flight to Funchal. Pascal explained very clearly that based on the weather conditions they were carrying enough fuel to divert to two other airports. I presume that with the surname Furtado the pilot was Portuguese, adding weight to the fact that only pilots proficient in landing at Funchal are allowed to control planes for take-offs and landings. An excellent video. Many thanks.
You excelled yourself Gabriel. The best one yet. More cockpit detail than ever. I would certainly fly with Condor but unlikely as I live near LBA. Looking forward to flying in an A321 when my local airline changes from 737s.
Oh my grief! That landing approach from the sea to the runway is absolutely awesome! Not much room for for error! I would fly with those pilots anywhere! Please keep up the great videos
I've been to Madeira many times and have never landed on 18, always 05 which is 'interesting'. The 05 departure is amazing with the hard right as soon as you are airborne. First time I went the pilot explained the departure and for passengers not to be concerned as the right turn was perfectly normal.
Wow. What a video! Thank's for the possibility to share this "thrill" with the crew. That's the kind of quality I am also used to from Pascal's own content (on a totaly other layer, of course). Seems "worthy" :D :-)
We were in Madeira at the end of November, beginning of December. And on this special day of the Condor flight we were on the plateau "Pául da Sera" and experienced the maximum worst rain and storm we have had in Madeira during holidays in 10 years. The wind was so heavy that the rain came horizontally. And we had to find the curves with the help of the navigation system because you had no visibility. Thank you for this informative and well-researched video! And Trident (Portugal) gums are the best for situatioans like this 🙏🏻✈️🏖️💦
Theirs only a few aviation channels on this platform which in my mind blow the others out of the water, but Gabriel and his channel are clearly at the top, for content and also the technical side of aviation. Thoroughly enjoyable this along with all his other stuff he creates, keep it up sir and thank for sharing this experience.😊
Love how the Captain communicated with the passengers during the flight. All the information given is something I would love to know during a flight as a passenger. Well done!!
Excellent video by flight radar 24, excellent crew demonstrating very good CRM and professional and helpful Portuguese ATC controllers on the approach sector who spoke excellent English
This is the best "cocpit cannel" at the moment for sure. Keep going same way to the future. Captain and FO are clearly real professionals in this video.
This crossover between my two favourite TH-cam channels is like a dream come true!! Thank you so much for this video, I hope you guys will reconnect once Pascal is on the A330. Can't wait to see more of this!
Absolutely awesome what Condor & Pascal is doing for their coporate image at that times! The fleet & buisiness strategy is sooo good, and the motivation of their crew`s, too. Go on with this and you will earn the golden times. :)
Many years ago, as a simulator engineer in the 1980’s , I was tasked with producing a simulated visual model for the approach to the “old” Madeira airport - before the runway was extended and when there was just one VOR beacon. I got to fly on the flight deck of a 737-200 so I could take photos. The final approach was “interesting”, requiring a precision turn over the beacon at 140 knots to achieve the correct runway heading and a final check of “1500 ft over the banana packing shed”. We had to refuel on the way back to keep the weight low for take off on the 5200 ft runway!
It's crazy the amount of planning and work that goes on before every single flight by just two people. Like yes big company helping them out if they need any info but the main people responsible to get you there who you think are just flying and configuring aircraft before you get on, are really planning all of this and it's just them two. The amount of work and checking plus even looking for back ups that far away is mental. Even the amount of checking throughout flight to check diversions etc with weather would think that would all be calculated before or automated. It is crazy the amount of work just the two you think are flying do. The detailed inflight announcement reminds me so much of being a kid as thomas cook use to do the same. I hate now that you are lucky you even get one mid flight... Have no idea where you are and when you might land its crap. How they fly blind that low too... Love these kind of videos something you don't see every day especially something like this with weather effecting it.

Condor is a really underrated airline.
The passenger updates, particularly around what might happen at the airport, are excellent and much appreciated by new flyers in to Madeira.

but they have the worst customer service !!!
