Yes! It's as if an exhilarating descent isn't "good enough" without some annoying electronic "music." I think most channels do this to try and attract people who aren't active cyclists. For those whose passion is cycling and fitness, the ride itself is more than enough.
Your title is correct. It is both marine layer and fog. The marine layer just refers to what causes the low clouds and fog. When you are in it, it is fog. Fog is just ground level clouds. With that said, that is a cool descent.
@stephenturkLA Ever done a descent in freezing fog? It's like another layer of suffering. I live in Scotland, and it’s pretty common, usually from as early as autumn. Either way, you are right, It’s crazy how fast you cool down.
@@timothyhuber5322 I'm from SGV area. So it's a bit of a drive out there. Stunt is one of the few roads I don't think I've even driven on out there so I was curious.
Thank you Phil for not adding nonsense background music. Just the natural sound it's the way to go.

Thanks for this, Phil-brilliant descent! I can tell you’ve got a lot left in the tank. The views with the fog were awesome. Subscribed!
Thank you sir!

The roads look brutal.
I'm tellin SAFA about this video Pheel.
The temperature drop on that descent is enough to look for newspaper.
At least, zip up the vest/gilet so it can do its job instead of just flapping around! Those descents into the fog/cloud do chill you rapidly.

I don't ever fly down that hill at this speed! Lots of uneven pavement too!
Then you don’t want to watch Safa Brian decend. Makes this look fairly reasonable.
@@roadglide I've seen his videos on our all our canyons. Actually, saw him blow by me at the top of Stunt one day.
I'm not pushing at all. I never do since they stopped paying me for it
All I could see was the flapping gilet 👀
Planning on climbing this soon. How is the Stunt descent?
Stunt has gotten so much bumpier over the past 20 yrs. It used to be silky smooth, now it’s riddled with heaves but is still fast and fun
@@timothyhuber5322 might do the loop a couple times. I'll take it easier than usual the first time if that is the case.
@@starlitshadows Are you visiting the area? or are you local?

@@starlitshadowscheck out Scheuren, Rambla Pacifica, Los Flores and Hume while you’re out here. All connected. Great roads. Little traffic
Modern freewheels and carbon wheels sound like nails on a chalkboard to me.
