Oh what a lovely refresher of Aurora! Superb narration as you make your way through her spaces. I sailed on her roughly 10yrs ago, but I am reminded of her cosy, stylish but still very traditional British look and feel. Indeed the Crows Nest is an exquisite lounge and rivals many similar spaces aboard other even more prestigious vessels, such as Cunard's Commodore's Club. Lovely memories! I must say Aurora is looking absolutely immaculate and extremely well cared for. Many thanks! Mark
It is a great ship, and I would urge anyone to try Aurora, as it seems that the major cruise companies seem to be moving away from these smaller ships. I cannot understand why they would not want to build another similar size ship, as many people I talk to love the smaller ships. The word profit comes to mind! Thanks for watching and your kind words.
@@jjandkaz2955 Many thanks for your kind words. Oh most certainly, Aurora is a beautiful package and so very elegant. I am Australian (though have lived in London), so we dont see beautiful Aurora down here often. She is on my preferred ship list though. I have been cruising for nearly 45yrs...in the 70s on the original Arcadia, Canberra, Oriana and Fairstar, as well as Princess...all small-medium cosy vessels by comparison to today's "apartment blocks" afloat. I find the medium vessels so congenial and inviting, more reminiscent of the 'old' days of ocean travel. Cunard is most pleasant also, though QE2 is sadly missed for her - once again - design, style and cosyness. I must be getting old haha! Best wishes from down under...
Lovely video. We sailed on her in 2018 to the Canaries. We had a wonderful time. Have been on many cruise ships but she has to be one of my favourites.
A proper ship just the right size ..Went to New York and returned on her via various American stops. In her early days .A really comfortable ship, traditional P&O feel and very elegant unlike most of the ships of today. They don’t know what to put on them nowadays but miss out the simple important things.
Sailed on her pre pandemic to the Caneries, loved her . Few weeks time on her again this time sailing north to the Arctic Circle in search of the Nortnern Lights
Having not been on her since the early 2000s, she’s aged very well in my opinion. Just the right size and not like these awful floating apartment blocks which dominate cruising these days. A lovely design (especially the open tiered decks at the stern). Given the model P&O (specifically carnival) appear to have gone down in recent years, I fear she mightn’t be in the fleet for much longer. Being smaller, she won’t give the financial scale that their new mega ships do. Will be a sad day when she leaves! Just like it was when Oriana went.
Brilliant, you covered so much detail and gave great information. We are looking at Aurora for next year and your video has 'socially influenced' our choice 👍😄
Many thanks for the tip re B deck forward (Deck 10) - secret public balcony. We are in B142 to Greece next year, so very close by, and shall use it often we hope. Might take a No Entry sign with us to ensure we get access now you have let the cat out of the bag!
Entitled much? No doubt you’ll try to pass it off as a _joke_ but maybe cruising isn’t really for you if you don’t like sharing. Try booking a private yacht if you don’t want others near you or learn to play nicely with others.
@@jjandkaz2955 I’ve had wonders on other ships in the early hours- but this is the most scarce I have ever seen one! I’ve booked to go on this ship and from the looks of it I’m going to experience something very different! ✌🏻
Not at all, there seemed to be plenty of seating available, even in the crystal pool area which we thought might get busy. Buffet busy at breakfast but we still were able to find a table
For the price you pay in Sindhu, nothing is complimentary, not the sides, nil, zero. Mains could be more authentic and need to scrap the Banoffee Pie, really?! It seems the atrium waterfall is STILL not working and the quick shot of the two catchment pools below it look filthy, they used to be blue.
Sindhu is fushion food, definitely British with a Indian influence or is it Indian with a British influence? Ummmm.😵💫 but they are most certainly authentic. I guess banoffee pie must be popular but it’s a mystery why they didn’t ask you to help with the menu.
We were on the ship in August to Iceland & Norway. She is a wonderful ship with a brilliant crew.
She certainly is.

Thanks for taking the time to do the video, it’s a real help to see inside before you go on board.
No problem , we hope you enjoy your time on Aurora if you are planning to go on her.
Amazing tour thank you we will be going on this fabulous ship very soon
She is a very fine ship, we are sure that you will have a great time.
Looks a lovely ship. We would love to cruise on it. Thanks for the video.
It certainly is a lovely ship, and a nice contrast to the mega ships around these days. Thanks for watching.
Looks good now with the refit we went on it a few years ago and love it
The bathroom looks no different from when I sailed on it in 2014. Still very dated....
Will be on her in October 23 looks very beautiful
She is indeed, it's lovely to be on such a compact ship for a change
Oh she is a charming little ship. I’ll always have very fond memories of her. My first cruise was on Aurora.
Going to the fiords in June on Aurora. Did med on Oceana and like the smaller ships.
The smaller P&O ships do seem to offer a more traditional experience than the larger ones that's for sure.
Doing the fjords next year was it good
It was fantastic. Lovely ship and crew. Amazing scenery. Don't get the hop on hop off bus in Haugesund it's a rip off. Enjoy.
Lovely video. We sailed on her in 2018 to the Canaries. We had a wonderful time. Have been on many cruise ships but she has to be one of my favourites.
It's just so nice to be on a smaller ship, something which is likely to be lost, at least with the major cruise companies
Great video! Very comprehensive - can't wait to see all the things you showed!
Glad you enjoyed and enjoy your cruise!

Agree with this comment!!
very informative, thank you.
Thankyou for watching, hope it helps

It will be sad indeed when she and Arcadia go, just hope that they get replaced, but it's probably unlikely. Still there is always hope!!
This ship looks gorgeous! Nicer than the newer ones👌🏻
It really is great, and you don't have to walk miles to get anywhere
Absolutely brilliant video. Thanks for sharing.
Thankyou very much for watching!
Is that secret deck are on 10 not for crew? It certainly overlooks the crew r&r area.
We did think that, but saw other passengers in that area from time to time.

Lovely virtual tour from india...thank you

Where was everybody?lol otherwise a very good helpful vid,we are going on yhis ship later in yhe year.Thankyou.
I filmed it very early in the day! Thanks for watching
@@jjandkaz2955 you must have got up really early it was great, looking forward to cruise now.
Is there a ‘free’ sauna ?
A very small one, and not free either 😉
What is it with art galleries on cruise ships? Who the hell waits til they get on a cruise holiday to buy a painting??
Agreed!!
Other than you and the person hoovering, was there anyone else on this ship? 👀👀👀👀👀👀
I did this at 5 in the morning!!! The ship was fairly busy .Thanks for watching

Very thorough and informative, but the music is unbearable.
Hello, going on her in 2 weeks, does she feel crowded being a fairly small ship ?
Not at all, there seemed to be plenty of seating available, even in the crystal pool area which we thought might get busy. Buffet busy at breakfast but we still were able to find a table
The joy of small ships is they carry fewer passengers and never feel crowded.
That first bar is stuffy
Was everyone in bed?
I filmed it really early, like 5:30 am early 😂
