    My own favourite of the P&O fleet. She's just the right size: not too big and impersonal and Americanised like her newer sisters yet still big enough to give one all of the amenities one needs in superb comfort and style..

    What a great video! We are very loyal to Cunard but have been on Arcadia a few times and really enjoyed her. We went on Iona earlier in the year and would now only ever do an adults only P&O ship, so we will definitely give Aurora a try 😊

    Appears more of an old school Ocean Liner than a modern cruise ship, which makes her far more interesting. I’m on her for 9 weeks from early January and very much looking forward to it.

    Thank you SO much for this! Have been eyeing up a Northern Lights cruise on her, going on a Fjord Cruise on Britannia in a couple of weeks time so may try and sneak down to future cruises to try and get some money off the Northern Lights cruise! Looks like a lovely ship to me and much better than Arcadia!

    Really enjoyed the video. We are looking to travel to the Baltics in the summer and one of the options is travelling on this ship. After 20+ cruises mainly with P&O and Princess and being disappointed nowdays with the larger ships (Looking at you Iona) it might be nice to travel on a smaller more intimate vessel.

    Went on the Aurora years ago. We are looking at booking to go on her again next year on the transatlantic cruise to canada. We are off on the ventura next weekend.

    Thanks for this. Eyeing up a Norway deal in March 2024. I love the traditional shop and this size. Found Iona though beautiful, too big and hopeless for seating on sea days. It's class was juts 'too big' and we are unlikely to repeat. Apart from a iona, it's always been Princess for us.

    • @GeorgeandDan
      @GeorgeandDan  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Iona is a very large ship, Aurora was definitely more intimate and less busy. Although we only took a short cruise onboard Aurora so she sailed at capacity.

    It’s a bit dated now, but it’s not a Nissan micra which you can afford to scrap after 20 years. It’s a cosy ship which has its Merrits I was on Brittania over last xmas holidays and with the number of chavs onboard it felt like I was in Benidorm. If this ship can repel chavs I’d happily book a cruise on it any day.

    Great video boys, very well filmed. Pity that the Subtitles misinterpreted some of the words that were used in the commentary !! Keep up the good work that you do.

      Sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much for watching. We try to catch most of the subtitles, but sadly some slip through - especially when TH-cam takes “P&O” as “piano” haha.

    Booked on Aurora for Oct/Nov 2025. Got a while to wait but I was curious as to what it looked like. Previously cruised on Oriana and Azura. Both amazing ships. But first, on Iona next year xxx

    Can you tell me is this a recent cruise that you have been on? We have recently been on Iona and Arvia and the food in the Glasshouse and the Beach House are not the same. We didn't enjoy the food in either of those restaurants on Iona and Arvia. We are on Aurora in August and would definitely visit the Glasshouse and the Beach House.

    • @GeorgeandDan
      @GeorgeandDan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this footage was taken in March 2023. We enjoyed most of the food with the Glasshouse as our favourite. Hope you have a great time in August!

    Why do bloggers here keep referring to food such as in the buffet as complimentary when it is not complimentary? Complimentary means free all the food you have paid for in your cruise fare so is not complimentary. Then there is the food you pay extra for,

      @GeorgeandDan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Not sure why some may say that. Fortunately, we do not. We include a handy graphic showing what is ‘included’ and what is an ‘extra charge’.
