I gained a new respect for Billie Eilish and her brother for producing such a quintessential Bond song. Both the composition and the performance are genre-perfect. Kudos to them. Thanks for the insights, Jen!

I'm 51 and hadn't even thought about Billie much in the past but when I heard her sing this, it hit me and I started listening to her other songs. OMG she's amazing and I have def fallen in love with her music. Amazing.
They are phenomenal. They written and produced this song when she was only 18 years old and he 22 and they won: OSCAR, GRAMMY and GOLDEN GLOBE. Billie is the youngest artist in the history to do that. It’s INSANE🤯 Great reaction!! I love these analyzes thanks❤️
She seems to only tip her head on the belt for big shows, like on the BRITs and here at the Oscars. The very next night in concert she sang it with her head down.
Really loved this live performance by Billie! In some ways (with her delicate but powerful vocals, and vocal control) she reminds me of another very unique singer/songwriter: AURORA.

Ó yes. Another great expresser of mood in song. Great review Jennifer 😀👏 yea the restrained is even more great than belted songs. It captured mood.
I think Billie sings better than she thinks she sings. I think it is good for her to have a brother like Finneas. I like a lot of her stuff, some I can do without. I think she has overcome a lot to be where she is. She also is a very hardworker.
So beautifully performed! Billie has a lot of range of motion and elasticity in her body and I am curious if the elasticity plays into her ability to sing so well with her head back. My daughter has a hyper mobility disorder (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) and is able to put her head back like that without tension.
She has said she does have hypermobility issues, which caused her exit from dance, but she's never said she has ED. I kind of think that that she's been tested, but I've heard it many many times from other sufferers, so I think you could be right!
Kid's not 20 yet and she's got a room full of Grammys and an Oscar. It's kind of unbelievable. Billie is a great and unique artist (I include Finneas when I say 'Billie). I hope she comes out okay. 😎
i am always shocked by how little volume she uses, and how with such little volume she can control pitch so well. It is really hard to be that accurate with so little actual voice.
Tomi P, no time to die, best cover EVER! Also it's acapella! By the way, I quite enjoyed your own acapella cover, and your reaction and analysis's are alway great too.
This was beautiful and quite helpful, actually. I noticed her head back and wondered if you would mention it. ;) Is it possible for her to do that as more of an “acting” choice and it not cause any tension? Just curious. I would think that far back would have to be felt. Great job, beautiful performance. I agree, be kind and choose love. ❤️
The head back tilt is ok if it doesn’t alter the feeling; cause strain etc. if we rely on that tilt back then it becomes a habit that one might continue to bring as they sing higher, causing more strain. However if the placement feels fine, then that’s ok!! Her head does go quite far back though! Exactly, it could be more for more a dramatic effect rather than a default to reach the note. The note itself feels relaxed 😊
@@JenniferGlatzhofer I read somewhere she has some condition that allows her to bend very easily her body without strain (she always does a full back bend on bury a friend live ) maybe that why she can do this with no interference on her voice or cause any stress on her vocal cords.
Just today Ed Sheeran revealed that he was first tapped to write a song for this Bond film but just as he was finishing the song, the producers picked Billie and Finneas instead. A great choice indeed.
I hope you can react to What Could Have Been by Sting and Ray Chen that was perfomed at The Game Awards. Would love your insight and reaction to that perfomance. New subcriber here. :)
Um............dear heart...... Jinjer Pisces (Live Session) is a rabbit hole you... as a vocal coach... should take a look at.. Not only does the video have over 61 million views, it's a 'must have' for reactors, especially vocal coaches. Pisces first, then Perennial (Live at Wacken) so you know she can perform just as phenomenally live and Judgment and Punishment (One Take) so you can see her perform such amazing abilities in a studio environment in one vocal take (ignore the cat...). After that? Fielder's choice.. "Home Back", "I Speak Astronomy", "Wallflower", "Sit, Stay, Roll Over"... no bad choices... PS Her name is Tatiana Shmaylyuk.. the band is Ukrainian.. and yes... they were in Kyiv when the Russians started...

They nailed Bond. Lifelong Bond fan and this is easily my favorite Bond song of all time.
This is such an incredible performance by Billie. She can really sing. So cool to see such a young artist singing at the Oscars.
The stillness of her performance always gets to me 😱
wdym she can really sing
Billie ATE that performance up!!!!❤️ Her voice has mature so much🤧🦋

I can't believe she's already halfway to an egot at her age!
@@TabbieMarie so true .. she’s so mentally and artistic mature 🔥 they are really amazing 🙏🏻
Billie elilish is so good at performing songs live, it's kind of like she's in a world of her own when she performs this song.
This live performance is so beautiful I find myself hypnotised when i listen to it and want to cry at the same time bc of it’s perfection
She seems to only tip her head on the belt for big shows, like on the BRITs and here at the Oscars. The very next night in concert she sang it with her head down.
I do think it's for dramatic effect for awards shows. I saw her perform this in Chicago a few weeks ago and she didn't tilt her head back.
Yeah it’s visually dramatic. It’s probably more difficult but she has the skill to pull it off.
I would for you to react to her singing Happier than Ever live as she goes for more a belt approach in the 2nd half of the song. Thank you!
Should be up on my channel! 😊
I watched Billie SO many times by now but i am soooooo empressed every time I hear her again!

She said she was extremely nervous and you can tell it.
But ,it was still pretty good.
