I always thought Johnny was more enduring then Liu kang. He came from a poor home (His father breaking away from the grand legacy his family had) grew up to block any intimate interactions from such a place. Then into Hollywood where he would waste away before the mortal kombat tournament. As soon as he entered that one boat where gods and monsters awaited him. He lived and fought against the odds, discovering the power within him where his family’s souls always watched over and protected him. Soon meeting sonya (Who I believe to be the best couple) where their chemistry is just hilarious. Soon learning to grow up after countless battles and become the solider that will always be on the frontlines to fight for his home and his family.
