11:40 ❤❤😮😮🎉🎉. Oh Thomas, you slick slick boy. I wasn’t sure if anybody was going to pick up on the subtlety of the fact that Coggins character chose to be the cowboy and not himself because that life he left behind so he had adopted the cowboy as his persona good job Tommy good job.
I don't know that Vault Tec dropped the bombs. There's still a good chance that the bombs were dropped as an act of war. There are other suggestions alluded to in-game, too. I think it's core to Fallout's storytelling that we don't know who dropped the bombs for sure and it's interesting that so many factions have motive. Barb may not be to blame! The show also did the good work of tying the post-apocalypse more concretely to pre-war shenanigans and I love it. The board room meeting that Howard was listening in on was full of great cameos. I really value the show expanding the life-preservation tech, too. We see robots with brains, but there's always memory issues. We've seen cryo sleep, too, but it was pretty faulty in Fallout 4 so much so that you play as the Sole Survivor of that experiment. There's also the super sanitary conditions that House relied on. But, now with the show, we see them connect the multiple, conflicting depiction of Ghoulifications unified with this mysterious compound per Thaddues. It kind of suggests that whatever it is that makes a person become a Ghoul can be introduced and can cause it happen quickly like we see with Moira FO3. I'm rambling. I have a lot of thoughts! This was a good conversation on what the show had to offer and I really value the input from folks that weren't already accustomed to the world. Good stuff!
39:40 ❤🎉😊 what I came away with from episode four as a non-gamer of fallout was more as Angelica says information they’re giving me more information about what actually happened to Shady Sands, which was a quiet background storyline. One part that was blatant to us, but not too Lucy was that, not everybody was underground for 219 years. Some of these vaults were opened earlier, which goes against what she was taught which that means that how much of what was really going on true and what was a lie. Second was the revelation of the connection of Maximus, Lucy and her father to Shady Pines Moldaver And Volte, how everybody was actually all interconnected.
Acording to the lore there was a complex political environment where multiple factions (world governments, corporations, the zetans) had an interest in the world getting destroyed and made sure it happend by whatever means they saw fit (including dropping nukes themselves). Barb wanted it to happen and likely did things to make it happen but there is no way that she had full control of when/where shit went down.
Tommy blowing my mind with his theory on Coop/Ghoul, love how an outsider perspective can actually shed more insight on a topic than even a well versed, biased fan might be able to recognize right away. Great pod as always, Pals!!! ❤️
❤😂🎉 Tommy oh my God I cannot remember if I had already commented on your role in Abbott Elementary if I did great and if I forgot, of course I did. I do remember making the comment screw it Tommy you made that show that episode was on a slow decline and then all of a sudden Tommy was on the screen and the showrating went through the roof. You’re the best. Love you.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
😊❤🎉 it took me like a while, just going back and processing everything in my head and not watching the episode but watching all the reaction videos and you guys talking about it for my head to realize that Shady Sands was the actual running storyline and the show, but I didn’t get it because they threw eight hours in my face😮
I suspect that there was more to the "alimony" line. I'm guessing in S2 we'll learn that between him learning the secret and his wife finding out he spied on her they got divorced. It could even be that she lost control because of that.
17:00 It’s unlikely that it was her decision. There is a shadowy authority figure who seemed above the cabal discussions, they were the True power, she just happened to have gotten a heads up.
57:00 😊❤🎉 oh I am sure they are saving Steph with the eyepatch for season two reveal of who she was in the past and it would not be a bad idea of a hint of a possible Civil War between 32 and 33. Steph be blood thirsty.
❤😊🎉 this is why fallout dumping all episodes at once sucked because it was like way too much stuff going on and it didn’t give you a chance to really think about what was happening. Like right now we are I think maybe coming up on a month since the show released, I thinkand now everything has taken time in my head to process. They better not info dump this again.
It's not Walt Disney, but the creator of Nuka-Cola and Nuka World theme parks in the Fallout lore. And he's not *exactly* frozen. But I won't give any more spoilers for the Nuka World DLC. ;)
57:20 😊🎉❤ here’s a couple of things for you to think about an answer to what you said MT about the corner not growing they can grow corn. They can do the same thing that 33 can do. The thing is when they found out that was all a lie they just said, screw it and just didn’t care about doing anything. Plus, how dedicated or brainwash you gotta be for the fact that when you really think about it, Betty woke up to become an overseer involved 33 live this whole life until she was older most probably at the same time with Hank as well and then at some point in time, they woke up Stephanie to add her to the population of 33 with in mind that they knew most probably knew her back in the day. It’s crazy. I mean when you really start to think about it this bud’s bud program is really twisted and crazy because you’re taking a bunch of people from the same, same time. Freeze them and then just selectively release them and then you could be in your mid 20s woken up to re-introduce yourself to someone you had met them but they’re like in their 50s. It’s crazy. It is really crazy when you start to really think about it
😊🎉❤ hey I don’t know if my comment went through, but I’m gonna say it again just in case. I think most of the nights were like Titus just a bunch of piece of shit dudes who understand how to use the armor but not necessarily understanding tactics because it was all pretty much just like go go go and mow everyone down. I like how Tommy said you have the ghoul who is basically military trained tactician
Listen guys, and I want you to take this to heart. Like I love you and everything..... what I give not a single slice liver of a shit about how much easier it would make your job or how much better you you are certain it would be for promoting a show and bringing it to a wider spread audience or any of the other crap...... If this plight to stop things from being dropped all at once so they can be binged that you are partaking in ever succeed, then you are canceled. Get TF over it.
I don’t really understand what you’re saying. But to clarify, my opinion is that some shows benefit from a binge release model, and others don’t. Stranger Things, for example, is a show that’s fun to binge watch. I also really like when Netflix drops half a season of a show to binge, then waits a week or two to drop the rest. There are some shows that I want to watch every episode at once, but not every show. Fallout is, in my opinion, a show that would have benefitted from a weekly release model. Because this show is based on a video game, and a lot of the storyline of the show was specifically written for this series, it would have been fun to speculate week to week on where the plot was gonna go. I had sooo many questions & theories and ideas after each episode, and I would have loved to sit down with my friends after each one to talk about it. Again, those are just my opinions, and you don’t have to agree! I’m not saying any of this because “it would make my job easier,” I’m saying it because I really like the camaraderie of talking about a new episode of something with my friends before the next ep drops!
@@WhitneyVision heh... I mean I was being really stoned (and possibly allegedly just coming down from tripping on shrooms) and just trying to like ramble out what I thought would be grumpy mockery of what sounded like it might be reasons to not do things the way I was wanting. You don't have to take it so serious. My bad. My whole rant was basically saying, "what I want has to be the way it's done and you'll be canceled for supporting things being done differently!" ... in a playful albeit antagonistic manner. Hey I love you even more for putting that much effort into the reply though. You're so sweet. Good on ya. ❤

Whitney should play Fallout
Barb came up with the plan, she didn't push the button to drop the bombs (18:14)
Must have a podcast per episode fer season 2*. Plz?
wait was Betty Barbs secretary??
Lunchables make you a ghoul.
Same Whitney, same. After watching this show I've put 600+ hours into fallout 4. Id never played before and now im hooked.
Love you guys!! Great episode as usual!

Pretty sure it was her Dad who dropped the bombs after bringing her back to the vault.
