As a kid, my friend and I would throw a blanket over the wash line in the back yard with a tarp if rain was expected and sleep there. Fun times and the best of times. Your tent would have been like a motorhome to us! Naturally a furry friend that weighs 35 or so pounds would help! Didn't have one. RIP Blue.
one thing that would help keep yall warm is take a hot water bottle ,fill it up right before you go to be and place it next to you feet, it works wonders keeping warmth next to your feet. thanks for a cool video.
We put hot stones from the camp fire in pillow cases and put in sleeping bag before getting in them remove before getting in and reserve 1 for bottom of bag near feet. Stays warm few hours.
Someone may have already told you about the tent stakes, but I haven't seen any comments about them, so here goes. There are stakes that you put through the loops at the bottom of tents and stick into the ground that hold the tent down. Especially useful when it's windy. You usually have to use a hammer or rock to pound them into the ground. Also,you could get a cargo sledto haul things.
She should get one of those hard plastic cargo toppers, they can be removed and the lid used as a sled. She did mention stakes, she didn't use the right name, but she said they weren't long enough for the snow. She could have and should have made some from one of her peices of firewood. She should have used a self infalting sleeping pad. It was very adventurous of her to tent in the snow. Where is the link to the tent?

You reading the starbucks cups has me dying 😭 and blue's little wet ears omg I probably would have made myself get up when I realized it's raining, but to be fair I was once flooded out of a tent when I was in middle school LOL
One word of advice for Minnesota there are a lot of Indian reservatiosn here. So it is very important that people make sure they aren't camping on reservation land as that could cause an issue in terms of the law. They are all open spaces and may not always have signs saying that is what it is. Google for some reason doesn't update it's maps for those areas either and many cell services don't work on some of them. Some reservations may have camping available for people but one reservation (Red Lake) for sure does not for non-members except during pow-wows and that is at the pow-wow grounds only. Loving the videos though!

OMG, not everything is funny. The dangers are everywhere. That poor dog freezing over and over again. Please plan better before something goes very wrong. I would not camp next to that steep hill where the water is, because your dog could slide down. All due respect, your nuts.
Stack snow around the bottom of your tent to close those open flaps
Camping on the snow with a warm fluffy dog next to you makes winter camping bearable.
PS grab a heavy duty tarp to place under your tent always!
