Blue is actually a herding breed and are really easy to train. They always need something to do. He seems very happy and content.
Most colds follow the "2 days getting sick, 2 days being sick and two days to recover" format. So you should be on the mend soon. Of course Blue is going to be more protective of you, you are his pack leader and his world!

I was just in Wyoming to elk hunt. But I left Michigan with the crud and found just like you ! My 2 pups travel with me❤️. My sinuses have cleared but it's moved to my ear. It's been 3 weeks ! I've traveled all 48 states and slept in my truck cab. I now use alesser expensive 45° sleeping bag as a liner. I'm in kalamazoo for a few weeks. If you get down this way. Get well🤗

I car camped in my 07 Volvo XC70 Wagon for a week while relocating for a new job. It had its good moments but after a week, I was done lol. You're my inspiration to get more organized for future travel car camping in New England. Hotel prices are insane!
Protection when sick: It is actually more important to keep self protection closer when you are not feeling well. And you should force yourself to eat. Soup as our grandmas used to advise. It works!
1. A Rumpl blanket! I love my Rumpl blanket. So Cozy! 2. I understand the AeroPress requires a mug-like object -- but in a pinch, you can drink instant coffee from a dog bowl. haha. 3. I admire your toughness and dedication to be in nature and keep working while sick. You're building toughness and endurance. Very admirable. Me? At the first signs of a cold -- it's hotel time for 3 days. A cold is an initial virus fight, and then comes the lingering symptoms (my mom called it "draining" eew). Anyway, the fight is about 3 days before energy comes back. Then the lingering coughs and stuffiness lasts another week. Feel better soon!

Pro sleeping bag tip, if you use a warm bag liner inside it then all you really have to wash is the sleeping bag liner because you're wearing layers of sleep clothes anyways and the liner is all you are in contact with. Especially down sleeping bags are better not being washed in car camping situations. Hope it helps!

My mom always told me when I was sick to eat Campbell’s chicken noodle soup with as much pepper in it and as hot as you can stand it. It really works. I’ve also been told to take a shot of Jack Daniels (not from my mom) and that works too. Feel better soon! Love love love Blu!!!
Alcohol depresses the cough center in your brain so you can sleep, don’t need more than a shot and a shot of honey in hot water for your throat. Drink lots of fluids to wash the crud out of your system and buy some broth for nourishment. So sorry you are sick.

Get well soon Ms Maria. I've been to Cadillac Michigan (and many other parts) before. I've lived in Jackson, Lansing, and then St Johns. The lake effect winters were more than I wanted to deal with. I admire your love of the state but go Buckeyes. :P hehe. I grew up just south of Cedar Point. I use that as a reference because people seem to know that rather than the little town I lived in. Hope you feel better soon. I really enjoy following your adventures.

There is a horrible bronchitis going around here in Michigan that's a viruses that gives you a bacterial infection... It almost killed me... It took over a month and 3 Dr visits to get rid of it... I had to be on so much medication... Breathing treatments and inhalers... I seriously thought I wasn't going to make it... Hope you recover quickly!🌲🐕👧🚙🔥
It was going around in Florida too. Mine was caused by Covid. I had it for weeks! Coughing until your lungs are on fire is not fun!!
I have it now. I'm getting over it. But my brain seems slower. They said it wasn't covid, or RSV or the flu. I haven't had covid, and I am asking myself why and how did I get this and not covid (I did get four vaccinations, but still.... it is not 100 percent pretection) this cold was awful. Lasted weeks. Thought I was getting better, but then bam! Came back with a vengeance after I started exercising in the cold....

When cold, I have used two sleeping bags, (one inside of the other).
Second hand stores sell them cheap. Just get a larger bag for the outside. Zippers on the same side of the bag for both is helpful.
I give them a wash at a laundromat before use. No difference than sleeping at a hotel when it comes to used linens.

Ive had shelties and collies and watching blues face when you coughed is typical for such a beautiful intelligent baby who cares so much how you feel, yeah they are working dogs, but the best nurse ever when you feel sick or sad. Saw him place his paw on your hand

If so what do you use when and if you need to jumpstart your car battery? Hope you feel better very soon, I just came down with a cold yesterday just in time for my vacation from work. lol

I think the crud is growing around in Michigan. FLU! I tested negative for Covid. I went to a Subway today, no drive up. I would have done drive up. Instead I wore a mask. I dont want to make other people sick and today is the 7th day I was sick. I am so congested too and my throat feels strange.

Her name is Cuddles and a rescue out of Alabama . Now she lives in Kentucky. Weights about 15 pounds. Had her almost a year and she still gets stressed sometimes but has she come a long way and is Loved above measure. So watching your Dog eat that Apple just made my day. Be careful and hope so see you around a long long long long long long long long long time. Ha :)

Yeah Blue was definitely worried about you. When I got the crud, I didn't eat or feel like eating for about 4 days. Slept and alternated sweating and chills. Forced myself to eat "Well Yes, Chicken noodle soup" by Campbells, which I can't find anymore, with salt on top saltines crumpled in it. Hope your fingernail is doing better. My daughter fussed at me to take an expectorant when I was sick to losen things up. It did help, but also made me tired. Take care and God bless. 🙏💐

I know you've moved on from your Prius since this episode. But if I may offer just a little suggestion for someone has a little bit of experience in this lifestyle whether you're in a van four-wheel drive or a Prius if you get yourself some of those Sun Shields like you can get it any auto parts store and put them up in all your windows. It will help retain a lot of heat, and keep some of the dampness out. Plus it gives you a level of privacy good luck Charles

Be careful the symptoms you have are what people have with the Covid virus now sore throat , cough, and a cold. We had it 3 weeks ago went to urgent care and after testing positive we were given medicine to take for 5 days and it was gone after 5 days. Would really advise doing that.
Have you considered a heated blanket comforter? King size so you can fold over you, more heated space. Maybe if it can run off a mini power bank? The setting keeps it on for while, you can fold a part under and the larger part over you like a sleeping bag. They are really cozy. Cream of chicken soup with lemon juice lots of nutrients. Great year round. Safe travels.

Hi. Get a SLEEPING BAG LINER (Premium Stretch Knit EXPANDER)..SEA TO SUMMIT (is the brand I use) or a fleeced one. They are great as you only need to wash them and not the sleeping bag. If you put it in the dryer to dry you would of destroyed the coating. Hope you start feeling better soon. Love your video’s of you and Blu. It’ll be great to see the new set up. I have a teardrop camper and love the space it provides as I too did car camping (very confined space 😁) but safer than a tent. Im Australian and enjoy the bush and National Parks here.
A bowl of hot soup with 4-5 grounded garlic cloves mixed with 1 squeezed lemon juice and chammomile tea with ginger...Nature has all the medicine.
Also if you can find some Koflet lozenges by Himalaya - very good combo of natural ingredients like ginger, cinnamon, clove, turmeric, black pepper - helps a lot. Get better soon.

I just had an idea. What about extending your platform out a little bit were blue sleeps or is supposed to sleep then that might give you both a little more room.
