Thank you for this. The case has always fascinated me. So sad too that Princess Diana went to his funeral and less than a month later she too died. 1997 was a traumatic year in a lot of ways. I was 35, and it was also the start of my entire life changing....marked by two sad events. Sorry, I rambled. Again, thank you for this, and always for the respect you show.
Wow! I didn’t realize Versace’s mansion was facing the street. I thought his home would be better hidden, given who he was. Great video! Very informative.
Every time you make a video, I'm blown away by the quality and the amount of work you put into your videos. Loving this series you're doing I'm hoping to see more like this soon
Another excellent film. Last week I watched Visiting Famous Graves With Adam The Woo, Scott on Tape & Sean Clark and I've been watching your films ever since. Thank you for taking this 60-year-old on some amazing adventures.
As a Miami native I’m so glad you did this vlog. I enjoyed the FX mini series they did on this. Also just thought I’d share this the Versace mansion for a long time was an exclusive members only club
I watch other TH-cam channels but no one does it with as much charisma and uniqueness as you. Keep 'em coming. Take care and be careful in your travels.
Victim Lee Miglin was the husband of Marilyn Miglin who was my favorite host on the Home Shopping Network. (I would buy anything she was selling...). I just read that she passed away a week ago. Rest In Peace to both. Great video. It's tragic and sad all around for the victims. Being there is eerie... you can picture it all as it was unfolding on that fateful morning. I wish justice could have prevailed.
Scott..The cemetery caretaker was named William Reese. He was killed at Finn's Point National Cemetery in Pennsville, New Jersey. Ironically, I have a letter from Mr. Reese. When I was doing my research before Find A Grave..I wrote the cemetery for information and he sent me a nice letter telling me to come visit and he sent me a bunch of pamphlets, etc. on the cemetery...I thought you would find that interesting...If you go through New Jersey on your way home..stop and say hello to him for me! Great video my friend!
Wow! Thanks for sharing this sad & horrific story Scott . I never knew Andrew was a serial killer until you shared the story i thought he just murdered Gianni Versace.
The memories I have of walking down there and having that story break after I came back to New York brought back a flood of memories!. This was a sad time I remembered in a celebrity world!. Thanks again Scott for the amazing work that you do and the locations that you are able to bring us to make us feel even closer to the event!. ... Llove ♥️
Great True Crime video. I followed the newscast that day. Shame he was killed Then just a few months later Princess Di passed away. A senseless murder that will never be explained. RIP Gianni Versace. Thank you Scott for sharing this with us.
Wow Scott! What a beautiful place but $40. for a drink STFU! This was so horrendous it was hard to believe that someone would kill Versace on his own steps. Thank God it didn't take long to find his killer. RIP Gianni and thank you for sharing your amazing talent with the world.
Andrew Cunanan was pure evil. I remember when all this happened. So tragic. Gianni, and all the other victims, continue to rest peacefully. You are all missed. 🙏❤️🕊️ I can't believe it's been 25 years!!
I've not watched for a few months now... come back again and there's loads more true crime! Excellent Scott. Would love to see you come to the UK. Do one on Fred West or Harold Shipman. They were some sick people 🤢🤮
I knew Jeff Trail , and this brought back a lot of memories of this senseless and horrible tragedy!😢😭It all started here in Minnesota and sadly ended in Florida. Sometimes it seems like this happened just yesterday, while other times, it feels like a lifetime ago. Jeff Trail was a good man, and is deeply missed ❤️🙏♥️
Sorry for your loss...It must be very difficult finding a way to come to terms w/ someone you know dying a violent death. Jeff has been portrayed as a good man just dealing with life's ups and downs like the rest of us. RIP Jeff Trail💔
I remember buying all the newspapers and saving them because it was so shocking and unbelievable at the time especially the way Gianni was gunned down on his home steps it's so sad what went down..God bless Gianni Rip 🙏
I remember when this happened and it was about 2 years after Gucci was murdered. It was very strange. My mother told me it was a complete set up for the family to get control over the business. Who knows? Great content Scott. 👍
Once again Scott. Fantastic, and informative video mate... Again.. The best by far, at the topics you cover on yt! 👍🙏✊. English bob 🇬🇧.. (loving the scarface info) ♥️🤘
Oh Scott I have been waiting for this one!!! Thank you so much! The guy who killed him went through my town on his journey to Florida. The man he killed in New Jersey was in the town i was living . It was scary! Poor Gianni minding his own biz and obviously felt safe. So so sad ….
I remember this all over the news channels in London at the time was such a shock so sad.Keep up the great work Scott Thanks Greetings from Australia 😎👍
My hometown Miami ! I remember when this happened I was 15 and the following year I took a picture on those steps. Very sad! I remember walking around there before the murder occurred . Great video, thanks for doing this.
Great video Scott you did well. Looked very busy. I remember when this happened. Gianni Versace was everything Andrew wasn't yet wanted world famous, top fashion designer, rich, amazing lifestyle. I think Andrew's entitlement issues were the reason he killed Gianni Versace. South Beach looks like a cool place.
@scottontape Thank you for this episode. I’ve watched this a few times. I will be going here January 2024 and tape an episode. Thank you for the inspiration and guide through Ocean Dr. Very interesting.
American crime story of this was amazing … The actor who played Cunanan was incredible and makes you wonder what clicked in him to do those murders . Great location video Scott btw 👍
I was 12 years old born and raised in Miami when this happened. Strange to drive by the parts of the city where this happened so many years later. Thanks for bringing it to us with fresh new eyes.
Didn't watch this right away wasn't sure if I would be interested. Boy was I wrong it was very very interesting. Thank you Scott I am now hooked on true crime more please
The wind and other noise is no fault of your own. Great coverage Scott felt like I was there with you. Did that one guy say "I don't mean to be rude but I want your friend"? 🤣
I admired you so much for this video I know you try the best for us good job really very good documentary for me photos and everything I didn’t like the movie it was very explicit for my taste you put more input in it good channel ❤
I think Andrew was set on this path for multiple reasons. He was in a school as a young man, whose wealthy students/friends, lived in a strata well beyond his means. He was only there because he was the favored child, very intelligent, and his parents lavished the boy with private school, etc.- much more than that spent on his siblings. Then the father leaves, back to the Philippines, leaving them basically destitute. So he begins the slow spiral, forever chasing financial largesse on older mens’ coattails. Throw in narcissistic personality disorder and whatever other guesses, and you have a ticking time bomb, as the smiles and laughter fall away, and friends are no longer friends, older sugar daddies disappearing, this guy was NOT going to find a regular life and a regular job somewhere…….
I remember this tragic event. However, none of the reports mentioned the bird that was killed after a bullet ricochet. I love not only how respectful you are but also how much detail you give. You give way more than media outlets do.
Love your instrumental music 50x better than vocal..my opinion. It just adds an funky edge to presentation and luke your flashback news clips too! Love your voice and personality also! Keep it coming.
Thank you, Scott!!! This was so interesting! 😊 Personally, I love Miami for many reasons. We used to stay at the Sheraton Bal Harbor many moons ago. I loved it! Then also, I was a major fan of Miami Vice. In fact, I was just watching some videos of the show last night. So sexy they were! 🥰Don Johnson was my fave. Seeing South Beach reminded me if so much of the show. This was a tragic story to say the least. Thank you again, for bringing back good memories for me. Hope to visit again some day. 😊

It's also the year I was born lol. March 30th, 1997.
I’m sorry about the sad events you had to face in 1997. I’m glad you persevered.
No need to excuse yourself. Life is writing odd stories.
Hope everything turned out well eventually.
Blessings to you ❤️🩹

The Versace story is so fascinating, and so iconic the way everything happened! 🌴
I vaguely remember it on the news. I was 12 when it happened and never heard the whole story. Thank you for a detailed summary of it.
