Trombones: Nitzan Haroz (Phila.), James Olin (Baltimore), Milt Stevens (NSO DC), Blair Bollinger (Phila.), Tuba is David Fedderly (Baltimore). Ed Hoffman (Baltimore) is in the trumpet section. Timpani looks like Don Liuzzi (Phila.). In the horns is Phil Myers (NY) and looks like the principal from Phila. Nolan Miller.
For anyone interested, I've posted a high quality Audio version (transferred from a minidisc recording of this concert) here: th-cam.com/video/2fhvci8Bt_A/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
First piece I ever played in French horn (4th). Baptism by fire!! Nice raw performance. That ending, jeez!!
Nitzan is amazing!!!!
We did this piece in Univ. of S. Fla. Brass Ensemble back in 1977. It's a real ball buster! Amazing composition..

Horns are David Wetherill, Nolan Miller, Philip Myers, and Howard Wall. I can't ID the assistant horn.
I'll bet that's Howard Wall (NYP) playing 4th horn next to Myers
definitely Howard Wall on low horn, the best!!!
Oh my God, this is incredible stuff. Thank you so much for sharing!
Great trombone cadenza!!
Oh yeah, and I forgot to say, "Way to go, David."
Sounds great! Any chance you could give a full listing of the players?
+Adam Gallant Not sure I have that info. It was in the fall of 1996
+Roger Blackburn Thank you anyway. Would you happen to recall the other two trumpet players?
+Adam Gallant I'm pretty certain that Don Tyson played principal and Ed Hoffman was on 2nd.
+Roger Blackburn Thank you Mr. Blackburn!

Langston Fitzgerald
@@tromba1592 No
Mark H yeah you are correct, he played second, my mistake and he doesn’t look like he is in the video?
@@tromba1592 I don't see him on the Tomasi.
It's obvious that these guys really KNOW HOW TO PLAY. Too bad the sound is dicey. I'd have loved to hear the real thing.
I have a bootleg mini-disc recording posted with Roger's video here: th-cam.com/video/2fhvci8Bt_A/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
