By tilting your right joystick up, down, left, or right, the way you select who to attack changes. Here's what all of them mean. K.O. faciles translates to "easy knockouts." By selecting this, you're targeting everyone who's close to topping out. Chevrons translates to "badges." By selecting this, you're targeting the people who have the most badges (the little arrows pointing up. Every badge you earn increases the amount of garbage lines you send to your target.). Aléatoire translates to "random." You target a random person with this. Riposte means "Fight back." By selecting this, you're targeting everyone that's targeting you and this is how Doremy did it. Building his stack really high triggered his "alarm." By triggering his alarm, everyone that had their attacking strategy set to "easy knockouts" was now targeting Doremy explaining the vast amount of garbage lines he got while he had his stack very close to the top of the board. Then, Doremy set his attacking strategy to "Attackers." Now everyone who was attacking him because his alarm went off was now suffering The Wrath Of Doremy. Now i'm not sure how he was sending 9 lines of garbage to his attackers with a single, but i'm pretty sure it happens when you have so many attackers. But Doremy got 51 kills by staying at the top causing an influx of attackers, then targeting all of them.

When I first saw Doremy play this game, I was confused as to why he was going so fast if he was making mistakes and leaving open spots...then I realized he was doing that on purpose.
Yup. By convincing the game that he's the most vulnerable player, he gets everyone using "easy KO" targeting on him, then nails them all (well, max 9 at a time) with a brutal "riposte" targeting counterattack with high danger boost (line clears at the top of the screen throw more garbage), AND he ensures that the 2nd-worst boardstate player doesn't get targeted by those people, so he can also scoop up that player as well by occasionally flicking to "easy KO" instead of "riposte." As the game goes on, he picks up KO badges and strengthens his shots with those instead of danger boosts. I think not filling his board to collect danger targeters towards the end might have been what he meant by "getting nervous at the end" costing him some KOs---though since they were down to like top 20ish by that point, who all had time to set up, the nervousness is understandable. At least that's what I THINK is happening here.

I just don't understand how someone can make these lightning-fast strategic moves in a fraction of a second. You're like those savants that can solve a Rubik's cube in like 4 seconds.
See the left up corner is your next block and right up corner is what next you get, to be like him you need to make holes/fill the holes in 0.5 sec before the block is even dropped
The 2nd place guy in the end tried to avenge his fallen comrades but only could survive for 35 seconds and gave him a 5 line attack that only 1 manage to stack his pile, little did he know that he was facing the devil himself and paid him back 100x times worse than his attack. If only he didn't killed the 3rd place guy and worked together.

The more people targeting you, the more lines you send to everyone attacking you. So you could land one line but if there's 10 people targetting you then they would get 10 lines EACH. This is even worse with Max badges because you do double lines at that point.

That tower in the first minute of gameplay was so complex and so quickly made that it makes both legitimate architects and fortnite builder gods weep. What follows afterward makes the Thanos snap look like a childs game. This was beautiful, haunting, and intense, all at the same time. The 2nd place guy in the end tried to avenge his fallen comrades but only could survive for 35 seconds and gave him a 5 line attack that only 1 manage to stack his pile, little did he know that he was facing the devil himself and paid him back 100x times worse than his attack.
If only he didn't killed the 3rd place guy and worked together.
I understand the purpose of him stacking so high at the beginning, but at the same time I was just sitting here trying not to lose my mind like "please,,,,, you have a tetris right there,,,,, what are you Doing"

so by purposefully making himself almost lose, he can target ALL the people that are targeting the ones that are losing.
it’s a bold strategy but it worked out.

*YES*
The more people targeting you, the more lines you send to everyone attacking you. So you could land one line but if there's 10 people targetting you then they would get 10 lines EACH. This is even worse with Max badges because you do double lines at that point.

High-level Tetris play is something else entirely.
That tower in the first minute of gameplay was so complex and so quickly made that it makes both legitimate architects and fortnite builder gods weep.
What follows afterward makes the Thanos snap look like a childs game.
This was beautiful, haunting, and intense, all at the same time. Fucking Bravo, i would watch you play Normal tetris with skills like that.
