- can we just sit down and realize how they already broke this game mode within the 15 first hours of new update?
with the newly introduced password feature, amemiya tried to set a a 98 vs. 1, asking everyone to pick blue/water team. since i was streaming myself sniping him, i asked my viewers to do it as well.
and i'm surprised that it worked first try. i would expect some reckless players not listening and picking something else, but it didn't happen, thankfully!
needless to say i was pretty much laughing when it happened, couldn't believe my eyes. i like how ALL the attacks are going to the SAME destination. a swarm of lines going in the bottom right corner.
yet this dude still managed to defeat us all. after all, he had a total of 95 KO...
it was legit impossible to defeat him because since he's our only target, we could only get up to 1 KO, while he could get up to 98.
so the 1 vs 1 didn't end well because he was going 4w mode at 100% badges while i had 0% and defending... lol

@@trolek852 No, it's unfair to the 98, because the game is balanced to prevent dogpiling being a huge impossible obstacle. You can only have 16 lines of garbage at once so there is no difference between 98 people attacking in the beginning and 1 person attacking at the end. Then badge advantage kicks in.

It was crazy how Amemiya survived this. Doremy vs 98 players when? You need to break his record. Lol
I dont think its a problem for any of the pros, garbage send is too slow early, and the solo player can get badges. And with the way garbage sending works with the huge multiplier for always having all the attackers its not super hard to clear.
Main problem is the garbage cap, and the slow early... though it does take a decently long time, need to be able to clear lines quickly (which these guys can easily do)
he recive 1 garbage line from everyone else even from t-spin tripple while he can put 12+ of single line clear to everyone else
@@ashark8968 the biggest problem for amemiya seemed to be seeing where the garbage spawned toward the late-middle part. All obscured by fireworks. Oh, and never misdrop
If it were ME vs. 98 players in Team mode, I'd just do the attackers strategy.

It's crazy how I've always thought it was best to keep a side well, mostly because t spins didn't mean anything back when I first played tetris as a kid, and here you see nothing but middle wells and t spins. Say what you want, but the core gameplay loop in tetris is probably the closest thing to perfect game design.
That's because of a few things-
1. A tspin double has the same value as a tetris, and its less risker . that wasnt a case in the older versions of tetris, where a tspin double has same value as a normal double
2. In older version of the games, the chances of getting a piece is purely random, while here because all 7 tetriminos come in a 'bag', which guarantees you to get a piece in 12 moves or less. This allows for setups, meaning that if you had a messy middle well it becomes easier to maintain it. thst wasnt the case in older tetris where you had to throw away your atheism and pray to the tetris god that you will get a good piece . side wells are also easier to maintain so players on older version of tetris will normally make side wells
Old tetris rng was horrible
T-spins _can_ be less risky, but need careful planning to avoid messing up the board. A common beginner mistake is to force a T-spin when the pieces aren't there to support it. Amemiya is definitely doing them right though 😄

In a 1v98 match, although the 98 obviously outnumber the 1,
1. the 98 cannot land any kills (unless, of course, you somehow kill the 1) and thus won't get any badges. This means double attack for the 1 in late game.
2. the 1 gets to attack up to 10 people at the same time, together with bonuses for being aimed at as well as the badges, meaning they can easily cancel/send loads of garbage easily, even by clearing singles.
People say that if it's 1v49v49 instead, the 1 would have a harder time due to the 98 have the option to obtain badges (by killing each other...).
