Thank you so much for making this video. With several DC omnibuses getting reprints, I always like to know if there are any differences between the different printings because some times there can be and that information isn’t easy to be found.
This was a helpful comparison video. Nice to see DC improved the quality built of the reissue. Good idea on coppin the 2nd print and giving away the once whale version for the 10k giveaway. Man, I’m ready for the Vegas videos & the next Manimal Road to X-Men comic book sale! 🤓
Thanks a lot for such unique and 100% actual content! For me it's seems like: I have some questions about latest releases => I open youtube and there is already video about it on your channel :) Hope You'll keep going.
Notification squad checking in💎💪🏻. Great looking books. I wish DC would split their massive omnis into two volumes though, due to the how the binding is.
Gem Mint Collectibles yeah they really do. I’ve been rereading Geoff John’s Teen Titian’s Omnibus and it’s like holding a new born. I always trip about the binding lol
Thanks for the video Gem. When I started picking up Omni's a few months back I had concerns about the DC bindings and it is good to see a 'then' vs. 'now' comparison. So far my DC Omni's have been great but I've only got two thus far.
Atlas Wolf Even though my mans 💎 drops quantity in videos; all them shits is of great quality. A lot of substance his all his joints. I never spent as much time on TH-cam still my dude started this channel.
Were there first editions that had better spines? Because my first edition (black cover) doesn't have the spine glued on like that, and creates an "eye" when opened. Also, it stays open on page 264, it actually stays open on page 245 - getting closer to page 240 and less is when it starts to close and you need to hold it down.
That's awesome buddy. Thanks for the comparison. Also, most every DC book is being printed and bound in Canada at the moment. Whatever printer/bindery they've found is doing an awesome job there.
Hello, first good video, informative, I am looking to buy the infinite crisis omnibus but I noticed something and you touched on this, the absolute mentions 1-7 but the omnibus mentions 1-6 for infinite crisis itself. I think the first edition says 1-7 and the new says 1-6. I am just wondering if you know if there is some of the main story missing or why the discrepancy is there?
Hey thank you btw for making this video. I was actually looking for a video like this when I saw the announced a reprint. Honestly though, it looks like your first print is more comfortable reading than the new because of how banned up the spin is.
You're doing an excellent job on these videos man. thanks for posting this. I appreciated the comparison of the binding and your explanation. it seems like DC is getting better with the omni quality where Marvel's have gotten worse
Binding is pretty tight on this new omni. It seems to be the trend now with DC, at least with larger books. My Fourth World, Tomasi Batman and Robin, and IC all have it. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing - there's a little bit of gutter loss, but the build quality seems more solid than ever from DC.
Great video man! Thanks. One question ¿do you think this new edition will stand as well as a Marvel Omnibus same size with the pass of time and readings? I only own Marvel Omnis and been thinking in buying newest Dc omnis but have not heard much godo things about the Dc omnis binding and spine
One of my omnibus started to have some mold inside the dustjacket, what do you recommend to solve this??? Plea se help, I dont want my other ones have the same problem :(
Yo gem.i see in november is the infinty crisis boxset is out..but can i just read this.new print omni? Or should this omni not be.confused.with any others? Ta
Just ordered this and got a question for you or Maanimal. With no knowledge regarding this content , What do you guys suggest for reading material around/before/after this event? Thanks man and fuck thumbs down people.
Oh yeah now I see it, I thought only the inner part bent inward (creating a gap) when actually the outer spine bent inward as well. Thanks for the review!
Regarding the 1st edition, Forgetting about the crease on the Spine and book closing,it seems to me that the 2nd edition in comparison because the spine doesn’t crease back actually has more gutter loss than the 1st edition. 🤔
I'm seeking some advice at the moment if you or others have time. I'm looking to read Infinite Crisis. It's been a long time since i've read it and never really read it in full or all at once. With the recent re-releases of the Omnibuses, would you say that getting Crisis on Infinite Earths (Deluxe Edition), Infinite Crisis (Omnibus - New), 52 (Omnibus), and Final Crisis (Omnibus - New)... would you say those provide enough of a complete series or is it really worth spending more and getting all the individual TPB? (Really don't want to try and get floppies)
Does anyone has the Infinite Crisis Omnibus? if so, can you tell me what is the reading order? Please! i want to buy the content individually because i can't afford the omnibus but i don't know the way it is mapped/ordered.
Yo missed this when it was originally posted but very informative video gem. That's for the knowledge. Some of the older omnis I own have spines binded/glued like the 1st print and they're starting to wear out.
@@chrisgold4511 Several comic eRetailers are already taking pre-orders/backorders for it, with an expected date of August for initial stock. Check out cheapgraphicnovels or organicpricedbooks, for example.
I recently became a omni addict thinking bout getting this one but haven't pulled the trigger yet I currently have about 30 omni and absolute s I just look at your collection and nearly pass out of pure jealousy LOL
I was looking at this omnibus on amazon, and noticed there's going to be a 2020 edition of this omnibus releasing. Will you do a comparison when that releases?
you should probably read or wiki Crisis on Infinite Earths first...honestly, i think this book will still be a little confusing. But hey, that's DC events for you
we do care about 1st prints in the omnibus world.... you don't care about 1st prints in the omnibus world????? I mean the difference between say 1st and second print of daredevil (millar) omnibus is huge!!!!!
just as a second point when the first edition beds in you pretty much get the same gutter loss but where the improvements come is the spine!!! the spine crease i think is a thing of the past on the new editions? (what I mean to say is after reading such a huge edition you get a line on the spine on the older edition)
Gem Mint, the chiropractor of the Omnibus
Thank you so much for making this video. With several DC omnibuses getting reprints, I always like to know if there are any differences between the different printings because some times there can be and that information isn’t easy to be found.
I prefer this setting with the collectibles in the background. Love the sensible nitpicking also about the book spines
Mike Boom Props to 💎 on the nitpicking. Reminds me of myself.
This was a helpful comparison video. Nice to see DC improved the quality built of the reissue.

Wish i would have seen this vid a year ago. Kinda came late to your channel but glad i found it
Gem’s room and collection = life goals y’all!
Thanks Gem! All your vids are so informative. Loved the experiment between the two editions. Solid, man!
Great video as always. You’re probably my favorite channel to watch. Always quality content.
thank FNC!
Notification squad checking in💎💪🏻. Great looking books. I wish DC would split their massive omnis into two volumes though, due to the how the binding is.
they love making them phone book omnis
Gem Mint Collectibles yeah they really do. I’ve been rereading Geoff John’s Teen Titian’s Omnibus and it’s like holding a new born. I always trip about the binding lol
Gem Mint Collectibles I was hoping they would split bigger Omnis into two smaller omnibus’
You have me hooked on Omnibus collections just bought my second one today. Thanks
Nice comparison video. It was cool to see all three types next to each other and to see the differences 👍🏽. GemNation!! 💎
Always dope vids everyday
Thanks for the video Gem. When I started picking up Omni's a few months back I had concerns about the DC bindings and it is good to see a 'then' vs. 'now' comparison. So far my DC Omni's have been great but I've only got two thus far.
Gem, make sure to take smaller bites with this one, I wouldn’t want you to choke. 🤣
The variety of vids keeps your channel the freshest on the tube.
Atlas Wolf Even though my mans 💎 drops quantity in videos; all them shits is of great quality. A lot of substance his all his joints. I never spent as much time on TH-cam still my dude started this channel.

I like this video it shows just how books are made and improved in reprints and looks like a fun read gem coming in with a hot new video 💎💎💎
Thanks for doing this comparison man! Really glad I didn't pull the trigger on this on ebay!
That's awesome buddy. Thanks for the comparison. Also, most every DC book is being printed and bound in Canada at the moment. Whatever printer/bindery they've found is doing an awesome job there.

Very nice video. Much respect bro..for truth you speak...love you
There was a 3rd print called Infinite Crisis Omnibus: 2020 Edition, wasn't there?
Hey thank you btw for making this video. I was actually looking for a video like this when I saw the announced a reprint. Honestly though, it looks like your first print is more comfortable reading than the new because of how banned up the spin is.
No interest in buying it but still watched the whole damn thing - a testament to how well you do the vids in general man. Lol.
Mike Wynn wynning!

Thank you for the video. Very informative.
I really hope you someday make a video where you showcase those bookshelves behind.. that is some awesome collection.
i hvae...check my room tours. one of my first videos was a library tour. i need to make an updated one
Love Geoff Johns and the omnibuses but a small gripe is the lack of a table of contents
Binding is pretty tight on this new omni. It seems to be the trend now with DC, at least with larger books. My Fourth World, Tomasi Batman and Robin, and IC all have it. The new binding looks pretty nice.
Your spider-man statues shelf looks sick!!!
Love the vid reviews stephen keep up the great work bro.
Hey Gem thanks for the video. I just checked my single issues Infinite def has 7 issues
Can you do a similar review for the Age Of Apocalypse Omnibus. 1st vs New Printing. Wondering if the new printing is worth it or not ..?
Carlos Solis I don’t have the first print
I bought the new printing and it came in really good shape, as well as having the same content as the 1st edition.
Dope video G. Just got mine I'm pumped to read it
I appreciate your videos mayne... keep them coming, I am learning much and my bank account gon' learn today!
haha it gone learn today!

Yo gem.i see in november is the infinty crisis boxset is out..but can i just read this.new print omni? Or should this omni not be.confused.with any others? Ta
i dunno but i want the box set
God I can’t wait to buy one of these. I love the newer cover it looks cool.
Hmmm...8 seconds...This is how fast I closed all the other videos on my browser when the notification for a new Gem Mint vid showed up...
Kostas TTT haha I didn’t know where the comment was going.
Great review. Is the omnibus collected in the order it should be read, or would I need to get hold of a reading order? Thanks
it's collected in the order it should be read in
Thanks GMC
Just ordered this and got a question for you or Maanimal. With no knowledge regarding this content , What do you guys suggest for reading material around/before/after this event? Thanks man and fuck thumbs down people.
geogg johns green lantern run after this
The 1st print seems to have better binding because the gap helps the book lay flatter
yea but the spine shouldnt bend inward the way it is
Oh yeah now I see it, I thought only the inner part bent inward (creating a gap) when actually the outer spine bent inward as well. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for the video. It was really helpful.
Regarding the 1st edition, Forgetting about the crease on the Spine and book closing,it seems to me that the 2nd edition in comparison because the spine doesn’t crease back actually has more gutter loss than the 1st edition. 🤔
Dope vid, i wanna get this book, but Is it good for a basic reader? Like i know the basics of every character would I understand the rest?
Mango Nectar yea I think you can pick it up and catch up on what’s going on

i think thats a good plan. i got the Crisis on Infinite Earths Absolute...but yea, I recommend reading that before Infinite Crisis.
Cool. I was extremely curious about any differences between the two. I really wish all of Superman Sacfrifice had been included.
Does anyone has the Infinite Crisis Omnibus? if so, can you tell me what is the reading order? Please!
i want to buy the content individually because i can't afford the omnibus but i don't know the way it is mapped/ordered.
Another awesome video.. love seeing a bit of DC on the channel. What do you think of the prime 1 superman hush and sideshow premium format superman? 👍
i think theyre the best dc statues coming out.
Great video as always
Yo missed this when it was originally posted but very informative video gem. That's for the knowledge. Some of the older omnis I own have spines binded/glued like the 1st print and they're starting to wear out.
When are you doing the giveaway???
been did it
Gem Mint Collectibles yeah I saw that. I’ve been following you for about s year. Notifications on now.
I'm saving up to get this. It's over 300 dollars on Amazon and her sites. Wish I'd known about this at the time of the reprint.
Wait for the reprint - it's coming sometime in August.
@@djsuth7727 wow really? How do you know?
@@chrisgold4511 Several comic eRetailers are already taking pre-orders/backorders for it, with an expected date of August for initial stock. Check out cheapgraphicnovels or organicpricedbooks, for example.
Thanks. That was interesting, seriously.

hmmm not sure yet. sounds like I should. But I only have one of these now. Gave away the other
Thanks for posting this. What's with the #1-6 vs #1-7 discrepancy you mention at 6:04? Is it a typo or is there one less issue?
TJM060765 I don’t think 7 is essential reading but the Absolute contains it
Do the first and second printings of the omnibuses have the same content?
A new reprint 2020 will pick up man 👨😊😊👍
Sir can you please tell me the complete reading order of infinite crisis(from countdown to end).☺️☺️☺️
Can you just jump into infinte crisis or do you need prior knowledge. And is it good?
you should probably read or wiki Crisis on Infinite Earths first...honestly, i think this book will still be a little confusing. But hey, that's DC events for you
Gem Mint Collectibles Ok thanks man
Keep it up, now I sound like your girl. He he he. Thx gem man & have a great day.
Thank you for the video.
Is the second printing a sown binding, or is it just glued?
man i dont remember...im pretty sure everything is sewn now...just wether or not the ribbon is glue to the spine or not
Gotta love those villain statues
Infinite crisis is the best crisis
Good video
How is the winner going to be picked?
we'll have everyone enter but commenting on the giveaway video when we make it. Then we'll do a live drawing.
Instant like, oh and nice shirt!
Andrew Cai thanks! 💎💎💎
There's a 3rd print coming out in 2020.
Is the story good? I've been wanting to get it.
its actually not one of my favorites
And now there's gonna be a new 2020 edition reprint.
Is that 7th issue not necessary reading, or maybe it is a typo
must be an epilogue
So Dope !!!!
Dope🤙🏽
It’s a Canadian thing definitely 💪🏽☺️🇨🇦🦉🐺🦌🌲🌲🦝🦔❄️❄️❄️⛄️

I think that Daredevil is the only exception and only because of the different covers.
not sure that's true as electra and the born again omni had same things go on
You don't need to go to the gym when omnibuses are this big 😂
haha youd think id be swole by now
Well if the manimal is that swole reading single issues, you should be a bodybuilder! Just kidding of course 😂😂😂
